Chapter 806 Confusion of Chicago

Fiona fell silent.

Then, Stella happily flipped through several photos, showing Fiona the wedding dresses in the mirror.

Stella: [I was just about to ask you which one I should choose.]

Stella was said to be of mixed race. With her racial advantage, Stella's figure had always been very attractive.

These sets of wedding dresses highlighted her advantages exquisitely.

Fiona: [Why don't you ask Alexander if you can have a four-day wedding with a different dress each day? It's hard to decide!]

Stella sent a long string of happy emojis.

"Where did this beautiful bride come from?" Chicago, seeing Fiona not focusing on her crafts, quietly moved closer, caught sight of the wedding photos, and her eyes lit up immediately.

"Take a look at who it is?" Fiona handed her phone to Chicago, who, after looking, was even more surprised. "It's Stella. Is she finally marrying Wyatt?"

Fiona's smile faded a bit, then she pinched Chicago's little nose, saying, "Can you be any more mischievous?"

"Stella didn't let me call her aunt..." Chicago muttered, then continued to look at the photos with bright eyes. "Why is it only Stella? Where's Wyatt?"

"Chicago, Aunt Stella is not marrying Wyatt." Fiona patted Chicago's back.

Chicago was shocked. "Why?"

"You can ask Stella about that later, okay?" Fiona touched her cheek. "By the way, Aunt Stella said she wants to invite you to be a flower girl at the wedding. Are you willing?"

"Yeah!" Chicago nodded immediately.

But then Chicago thought of something and said, "Mommy, will Wyatt be upset?"

"Chicago, you're a kid. You don't need to worry about everyone's happiness." Darwin interjected.

"Dad's right." Fiona gave Darwin a thumbs up.

Chicago was a bit puzzled. Then her gaze shifted, and Chicago saw Kenny and Thalassa walking by the lake outside the floor-to-ceiling window.

"I got it!" Chicago raised her chin. "Just like Thalassa and Kenny!"

Fiona was taken aback. She thought to herself, 'Chicago was quite good at... finding references.'

"But Kenny is very bad; he's not good to Thalassa; Wyatt is very good to Aunt Stella; when he was sick, I went to see him; he even fed Aunt Stella fruit..." Chicago, after a few seconds, fell into thought again. "Mommy, will Aunt Stella's new husband be as good as Kenny?"

Fiona patted Chicago's head.

How can a child's mind be filled with so many questions every day?

"I haven't met him yet, so I can't judge him, but if Aunt Stella chose him, he should be a good person." Chicago explained.

Stella was infatuated with Wyatt.

But Stella was not someone whose mind was filled with love, she had always remained clear-headed.

The person who could make her slightly impulsive, Fiona was willing to believe he was a good person.

Stella wouldn't know that Chicago, a little kid, was worrying her heart out for her.

Stella decided to get married in a hurry.

And somehow, Alexander managed to get the White family to attend the ceremony.

Suddenly, Stella felt a bit nervous.

She carefully checked the details of the church, venue, and hotel where the guests would stay.

After confirming the details of the pre-wedding party again, Stella sat there, and suddenly, the message Fiona sent her came to mind.

Fiona: [Wyatt is on his way.]

"Stella." Alexander's warm voice came from behind.

Stella immediately snapped out of it.

Alexander's large hand with the emerald ring landed on her slender shoulder, offering some comfort.

"I've confirmed all the details for the pre-wedding party." Stella smiled at him.

"Why aren't you happy then?" Alexander sat down opposite her.

Alexander, 6.2 feet tall, worked out regularly and had broad shoulders and a narrow waist.

Alexander looked even better in person than in photos, but his demeanor was genuinely aloof.

"Never mind, I'll just say it straight." Stella sighed. "Wyatt is on his way to Zurich."

"He's coming to stop the wedding." Alexander nodded.

"He won't succeed," she said without hesitation, then hesitated. "Alexander, Wyatt's people can be ruthless. I'm worried..."

"No need to worry." He shook his head. "He can't do anything."

"Are you sure?" Stella was still very worried.

He was confident. "I'm sure."

Stella glanced at him, and her heart slowly settled down.

Then she chuckled self-deprecatingly. "Look at me, so nervous. Wyatt coming may not necessarily mean anything."

Stella had always known that for Wyatt, perhaps he couldn't do without her, but she wasn't that important to him either.

Family, pride, honor, and many other things, for Wyatt, these all came before her.

From their first meeting to now, sixteen years of a dream, Stella had already woken up.

"No matter what he wants to do, he can't change the fact that we are already legally married," Alexander said calmly, then he glanced at her wedding dress catalog. "Haven't you picked one yet?"

"It's all your fault. Where did you find these dresses that all suit me?" Stella's attention was quickly diverted. "My friend said that I should discuss it with you; we can have a four-day wedding, one dress each day!"

Alexander chuckled, his shoulders trembling lightly, then nodded. "If you're not afraid of the hard work, then four days wedding is okay!"

"That won't do!" Stella immediately shook her head. "A wedding is a big deal. How can we be so hasty?"

People who don't respect weddings, what good outcome can their marriage have?

That's what her mother said before she passed away.

"Let's postpone the decision for another day. Come on, let's go eat." Alexander stood up and reached out to Stella.

Stella reached out, and the two hands, one large and one small, clasped together.

In fact, Stella had met Alexander ten years ago.

The Beaumont family was in the pharmaceutical business, Alexander had some dealings with the White family.

Her father didn't used to dislike her as much as he did now.

Alexander's sister was already in charge of the family back then, and her son was about the same age as Stella.

Early on, her father had intentions of matchmaking the two.

Ten years ago, at the height of summer, Stella was given a reason by her father and sent to the Beaumont family's estate.

There, she met Alexander.

She didn't quite like the Alexander she saw at the time; she thought he was too aloof!

The next day, when Stella saw Alexander again, it was at the swimming pool.

Stella was drowning, and Alexander pulled her out of the pool. She was already close to suffocating, but it was Alexander who saved her with CPR and artificial respiration.

When Stella came to, Alexander had already left.
