Chapter 1124
Fiona and Darwin exchanged a glance.
She had said the Durhams wouldn't dare mess with the Solomons, no matter how foolish they were.
Who knew? there was a mastermind behind it.
"There's always someone who thinks they're clever," a familiar voice came from the private room. "Your generation sees things clearer; it's all about interests."
"Really?" A woman's amused voice came from outside the door.
The door swung open.
Inside were six people, five of them kids from the Durhams.
They weren't too scared to see Fiona and the others.
But when they saw Darwin, they all stood up. "Mr. Solomon." They started whispering and pulling each other aside.
"Can't you see? This means it can't be a small project!"
"Right."
Fiona ignored the whispering.
Her gaze fell on the man who remained seated.
"Antony, this is both unexpected and expected," Fiona said slowly.
Antony took a sip of red wine.
He looked up at Fiona with a smile. "Honestly, this was unexpected for me too. I thought I could rely on the Solomons to live a luxurious life."
The kids sensed something was off.
"Antony, it seems like you have something to discuss. Let's call it a day. See you!"
"Yeah, you guys talk!"
Before Antony could speak, they grabbed their things and hurried out.
Outside, they were blocked by Xavier and his men.
"What are you doing?"
"Nothing. Mr. Solomon and Mrs. Solomon are concerned about you drawing attention to the Solomons. We need to take you to see your parents and let the Solomons handle this."
Just as they were about to shout, Xavier knocked them out and took them away.
In the private room, Antony listened expressionlessly to the commotion outside.
"Why?" Darwin asked.
Antony looked at him, his eyes slowly turning venomous.
"Darwin, we've known each other for years. Whether you really have amnesia or not, your cruelty and indifference are truly repulsive," he enunciated. "Did you even investigate what happened to me because of you before coming to find me? What could make me turn against you?"
He painfully lowered his eyelids. "I only regret not being ruthless enough, not wanting to hurt your children, otherwise!"
"Antony!" Fiona scolded softly.
Antony shuddered. He glanced at Fiona, then smiled helplessly. "Fiona, do you know how ridiculous you are? How did Darwin treat you before? I can understand you being alone and unable to escape his control, but later you were Janna's only granddaughter, and you actually forgave Darwin and married him!"
He pointed at Darwin again. "No one should understand better than you how cold and ruthless this man is, right? If someone merely displeases him, he would destroy their family!"
Antony's eyes were bloodshot.
He slammed the table a few times and repeated, "Destroy their family."
