Chapter 793 It's a Gift! It's a Treasure!
"Eleanor!" Chicago shouted, then unexpectedly stood up.
She harshly pushed Eleanor's mother. "You actually hit your child; you're a bad mother!"
After saying that, Chicago chased after Eleanor.
"Chicago!" Janna and Darwin both stood up in surprise, calling out to Chicago.
But the whirlwind girl didn't look back, running fast.
"Why are you standing there? Go after her!"
Janna, being older, couldn't run, and Darwin was currently not agile.
Janna was extremely anxious.
Stuart snapped out of it and immediately followed to chase after them.
The woman who was forcefully pushed by Chicago finally reacted. "I'm not a bad mother! I gave birth to her in 37 hours!! These years, I haven't worked a day outside to raise her; I've been around her 24 hours a day! How could I be a bad mother? If I don't discipline her, she'll grow up to be a bad child-like Chicago, who shows no respect for elders!"
As she finished speaking, a tall shadow, exuding a chilling aura, enveloped the woman.
She timidly looked over.
Darwin's expression was even more grim than before.
With Chicago not by his side, he could show his displeasure without worrying about scaring his daughter.
"What do you want?" The woman glanced around. "So many people are watching! If you dare to hit me, I will definitely..."
"Hit you?" Darwin sneered. "That would dirty my hands."
The woman's face turned pale, feeling her dignity being trampled upon.
Just as she was about to say something, an elderly lady emerged from her position at the dining table.
"Physical punishment?" Janna sneered. "Were your parents not strict with you? That's why you've turned into such a detestable and abhorrent person!"
"Of course, not as good as you, raising a grandaughter to be someone else's substitute lover!"
The woman's sense of dignity continued to be trampled upon.
She was about to speak up, fearless.
"Smack!"
Janna's slap came down without hesitation, she put all her strength into it.
The woman was directly hit, spun in place, and then sat down on the ground.
She held her rapidly swelling face, looking at Janna in shock and anger.
"How dare you hit me! You capitalists think you're so great, don't you? I'll expose how you bully ordinary people!!" The woman shouted.
"Go ahead! But get my name right, I'm Janna!" Janna's words were firm and resolute as she walked straight out.
Janna was very worried about Chicago.
"You wait! I'm calling the police right now; I'll have all of you arrested!" The woman sat on the ground, crying and pulling out her phone from the pocket behind her.
Darwin leaned on his cane.
He looked at her deeply in silence.
Then he said to the accompanying bodyguards, "She seems mentally unstable, probably a psychiatric patient. Contact her husband or relatives and have them come over."
"I'm not crazy! Stop making things up!"
There were teachers having lunch in the cafeteria.
They heard the words "psychiatric patient."
Indeed, the woman's behavior had been abnormal from the start.
The teachers immediately stood up.
They quickly evacuated the students and urgently called the armed guards over.
The woman looked bewildered at the orderly crowd moving away from her, evacuating the cafeteria, panicking. "I'm not crazy! They're lying! You don't need to fear me!!"
Darwin's gaze remained cold as he looked at her.
"Your expectations for Eleanor are through her to surpass everyone else to increase your authority at home?"
The woman looked resentfully at him. "And if not?"
Darwin raised his chin slightly, his gaze disdainful. "Is there a throne in your family to inherit?"
"Don't talk nonsense. It's always been like this. I don't believe you can pass on your family business to your daughter!" the woman mocked.
"If my daughter is willing, we will give her whatever she wants, not only my family business but also my wife's family business," Darwin said without hesitation.
The woman still had that mocking look. "That's only what you said!"
Darwin knew that this person's soul had already decayed.
"To prevent the lunatic from causing harm, restrain her," Darwin instructed the bodyguard.
Leaning on his cane, Darwin also went to find Chicago.
"Don't you dare leave! You've resorted to violence; you can't just walk away!" The woman got up and tried to lunge at Darwin.
However, the bodyguard, who had been itching to act, immediately pinned her to the ground.
"You lunatic!" The bodyguard cursed fiercely, "With your behavior, you still force your daughter to stand out? Treat her like a human being; she's not a tool!!"
The woman wanted to scream.
The bodyguard picked up a cloth from the nearby table and stuffed it into her mouth.
Chicago chased after Eleanor as she ran out.
Eleanor went straight to the top floor of the library.
"Don't follow me!" Eleanor turned around to see Chicago looking very distressed. "I don't need your pity; your pity will only make me more pitiful!"
"I don't pity you!" Chicago's tone was sweet and gentle. "I just want to tell you, you don't need to apologize to me; you haven't done anything wrong!"
"No, I'm wrong!" Eleanor grabbed her hair, tears rolling down her cheeks. "My birth was a mistake."
"Is being a daughter wrong?" Chicago asked.
Eleanor looked at her. "Isn't it?"
"Of course not. My mom and godmother say that girls are the most wonderful beings in the world. God must have seen how harsh the world is, so he created girls. We are here to make this world vibrant, soft, and colorful! Being a girl is not wrong; it's a gift and a treasure!"
Chicago had never known before that someone could consider being a girl a mistake!
Her mom and great-grandmother loved her very much; Ms. Walker and Mr. Walker prayed in church for the godmother to have a little sister in her belly.
For Eleanor, what Chicago said was equally unfamiliar.
Eleanor's mother had given her a wrong concept.
"I envy you." Eleanor wiped away her tears and looked at the azure sky. "I hope in my next life, I can have the good fortune like you." "
