Chapter 526 Kenny’s Legend

The thug was so eager to please that he didn’t even bother with Justin, the money man. Bowing slightly, he stepped forward. “It’s me. Don’t you remember? My aunt worked as a gardener at your estate. I visited her once, and you even helped me with math problems!”

It was a stroke of luck – his final year of schooling coincided with his inability to continue his studies. With his aunt employed by the esteemed Walker family, his parents believed that leveraging this connection could secure him a job. However, at fifteen, he was deemed too inexperienced for consideration by the Walkers. As he was preparing to depart, he chanced upon Kenny. Recognizing him as Kenny, he saw an opportunity to impress and potentially earn a substantial income.

He approached in a friendly manner, and to his surprise, Kenny was quite approachable. Seeing him with a math workbook, Kenny took the initiative to inquire, "How are you doing with that?"

He knew Kenny was an academic prodigy. His aunt had mentioned that though two years his junior, while he was still in middle school, Kenny was already studying college-level material. Wanting to curry favor, he quickly lamented, "I can’t figure out several problems!"

The truth was, he barely used that math workbook - as a seat cushion, more than anything, never really looking at it.

"My staff is ill today. Go buy me ten dead frogs from the market, and I’ll teach you," Kenny had said.

The thug couldn't have been happier and hurried off, returning with a bagful of frogs – all alive. Kenny didn't comment; instead, he told him to choose a math problem he couldn't solve.

And he did, picking an equation.
Kenny said it was a piece of cake, but after repeating it twice, he couldn't comprehend a thing.

Finally, with a look reserved for fools, Kenny glanced his way, and left.

The following day, his aunt was set to send him off.

He panicked. "I'm now friends with Mr. Kenny. If I hang around him a little longer, he'll get me a job."

However, his aunt was furious, "Have you no shame? Did I not tell you to stay away from Kenny? And yet, you dared to buy him frogs and ask him to explain problems to you?"

"What's the big deal?" he was utterly baffled.

"Do you even know what he uses those frogs for? Dissection! Kenny relishes dissecting animals alive, separating the bones, flesh, and sinew!"

The thug's face turned pale with dread.

"He detests fools. Do you have any idea how many staff from the Walker family have been fired for their stupidity?" she raged.

The thug had no words to reply.

"You can't even solve the simplest equation. He explained it twice, and you still didn't get it! You're lucky he didn't dissect you and simply asked me to send you away – you should be thanking your lucky stars!"

"It can't be that terrifying!" the thug was genuinely frightened.

The more he thought about it, the more he realized Kenny's look from the day before—it was cold, emotionless, almost murderous.

"Let me put it this way," his aunt said gravely, hinting with a throat-slitting gesture, "Mr. Matt and Mrs. Grace are worried that Kenny one day would be displeased, he might..."

Even though it was just a fleeting gesture, but the thug's memories of Kenny were still vivid as if it was yesterday after a decade.

He had grown, shot up in height, losing the frailty of his youth. His presence was now many times more imposing than before.

He just didn’t know.

If he still enjoyed dissection or not.

"Equation?" Kenny frowned slightly.
He had a photographic memory.

However, with that memory, he could also block out things he deemed unworthy of remembering, but the man nicknamed 'Equation' was a lesson to him.

After that incident, he never again entrusted his tasks to someone he didn’t know well.

He had wanted ten frog corpses, and this guy had taken the initiative to buy over twenty live, hopping frogs.

Furthermore, his stupidity was exasperating.

Among all the people Kenny had encountered, he was the most imbecilic, unforgettable in how he stood out.

It remained, like an alarm bell, hanging in the ruins of his memory.

"Yes, yes, yes!" the thug exclaimed with apparent joy. "You remember me?"

Kenny's eyes were chilling.
The thug thought to himself, ‘It seemed like he had actually started practicing dissecting live humans. Was it a mistake to be so excited about recognition?’

"Were you with him?" Kenny asked.
Before the thug could answer, he replied even more coldly, "Daring to threaten my wife, Equation, you've grown bolder."

Those words.

They sounded like a compliment.

But the thug's hairs stood on end in an instant.

"Your wife? You're married?"

Kenny couldn't be bothered with him and walked straight toward Thalassa.

"You okay?" he asked as he reached out and naturally took the documents from Thalassa's hand.

Thalassa shook her head. "I'm fine, thankfully Jake and Mike were here, otherwise those guys would have already barged in."

"It's a misunderstanding! A huge misunderstanding," one of the thugs wailed as he rushed forward. "Mr. Kenny, if I had known it was about your lady, I wouldn't have dared even if I had ten times the courage."

He then turned to his own crew. "What are you doing just standing there? Come over here!"

The thugs, completely bewildered, didn't hesitate and moved over.

All the big shots were usually on an equal footing with him. Since he was bowing and scraping to this young guy, it meant this man must be someone very important.

Justin and Walker were totally flabbergasted.

"You're the ones who took my money!" Justin gritted his teeth.

The thug immediately pulled out a wad of cash from his suit jacket pocket and threw it back without hesitation. "Here's your money back, who are you trying to impress with this chump change?"

Thalassa looked to Fiona. This twist was unexpected for her.

Fiona whispered in her ear, "Your husband's connections are really substantial."

"Fine," Justin said through gritted teeth. "I have some personal items inside. Can I go in and get them?"

"No way," responded the thug before Thalassa or anyone else could reply. "You shameless scoundrel, just now our young lady said you still owe money. If you want to get anything, wait until you've paid up. We'll have someone watch you while you take your stuff."

"You guys!" Walker was fuming, his face turning as green as the leaves nearby.

"Thalassa, clear out anyone else not related to the property. Mike, it's going to be a bit of trouble, but please remove all irrelevant individuals," Thalassa said, looking at Mike.

Mike had been eager for action. At first, he was disappointed when the opponent's skinny reinforcements suddenly defected. But now he was revved up with a new task.

"Understood!"

"Let's go inside," Thalassa said to Fiona, taking Kenny by the hand.

"Thalassa, this isn't over. I'm going to sue you," Justin called out from behind, his voice filled with desperation.

Fiona glanced back with a chilling gaze at Justin.

Justin felt an inexplicable sharp pang in his chest as their eyes met.

Then, Mike began to usher people out.

The thugs, seeing they were getting kicked out, shouted, "Mr. Kenny, we're one of your own!"

Kenny didn't even look back as the front gate closed behind them.
