Chapter 1109
"How could this happen?" Zachary, the first to shout, now looked as pale as a ghost.
Just yesterday, they found out the project proposal for today's meeting had been swapped with a problematic one.
They also confirmed Darwin had lost his memory.
Not only that, but his whole personality had changed—he was now very gentle, completely different from before.
"Did you really think such cheap tactics would frame Mr. Solomon?" Henry sneered at the three.
"His memory loss is real!" Quentin, the last of the three to speak, snapped out of his confusion and pointed at Darwin. "I have his medical records from overseas right here!"
He pulled out a medical record from his briefcase. "This shows he lost all his memories before the accident due to suspected intracranial hemorrhage affecting his memory nerves!"
Everyone began to murmur among themselves.
Seeing this, Quentin spoke again, trying to stir them up. "Everyone, you know Mrs. Solomon is ruthless! I wouldn't bring this up if it weren't for everyone's best interests! Since Mr. Solomon's brain is damaged and he has lost his memory, he should stay home and recover before handling the corporation's affairs! This is the most responsible approach for us shareholders!"
"That's right, everyone knows Mr. Solomon was a legend at Solomon. If news of his memory loss gets out, it would significantly impact the stock prices of Solomon and Solomons!" Elijah quickly added.
Their goal today was to send Darwin back home, who was about to return to the company.
"Had enough?" Darwin, who had remained silent, finally spoke calmly as the commotion died down.
"Mr. Solomon, I understand having a woman support the family is unpleasant. But we can't let you treat the interests of all Solomon and Solomons shareholders as a joke!" Quentin, hiding his fear of Darwin, appeared ready to face any consequences.
By this time, the medical record had already been passed around among the shareholders.
Some people knew which hospital Darwin had stayed in after being rescued from the island.
Initially, some major shareholders had even considered visiting him when the news came.
Seeing the hospital listed on the medical record, their expressions became quite peculiar.
"With a medical record of unknown origin, do you think you can kick me out of the corporation just as I return?" Darwin leaned back, fingers tapping lightly, a smile on his face. "As Solomon's shareholders, why are you guys playing such childish games?"
"Mr. Solomon, just tell everyone directly, did you lose your memory or not?" Seeing things had come to this point, they decided to confront the issue directly.
"What's the rush?" Darwin smiled. "By the end of the shareholders' meeting, everyone will have their answers."
As the medical record continued to be passed around, it eventually reached Darwin.
Darwin glanced at it and laughed. "I don't need something that can be easily faked to prove anything."
With that, he crumpled the medical record into a ball and tossed it aside. "The shareholders' meeting will continue."
He didn't have the three escorted out.
He didn't argue about whether he had lost his memory.
The shareholders' meeting resumed in a very strange atmosphere.
About ten minutes later, through Darwin's familiar and sharp rhetoric, those shareholders who had been wavering had their doubts dispelled during the meeting.
