The Wesley family just stared at Fiona, their angry tears frozen in their eyes. Finally, Jasper snapped out of it first. He glared at Fiona and said, "Mrs. Solomon, this is our family business. The little bit of stuff my grandmother left behind is just pocket change for your family! Why are you butting in?"
"I've said it a million times, haven't you gotten it yet? I want to honor Vespera's dying wishes. Whoever she left those things to, that's who they belong to. If you want to change that, you're going against Vespera, and going against her means going against my husband. And if you oppose my husband, don't expect any favors." Fiona's argument was solid.
Hearing this, Vivienne plopped down on the ground, slapping her thighs and crying.
After all this fuss, they got nothing. Jasper and Wesley even got slapped.
Vivienne thought it was all because Vespera favored Emrys!
Vespera knew Jasper was of marriageable age, yet she left the house in such a good area of Bay City and the jewelry to Emrys for him to use when he got married.
Vivienne had originally planned to bully Emrys's family of three, thinking they could force them to transfer the property to Jasper.
"Is this house still under Amias's name?" Fiona looked at Amias.
She had already looked into it.
The house was originally in Wesley's name. During the division of the estate, Wesley's family shamelessly demanded this house.
However, four years ago, Jasper mortgaged the house due to gambling debts and failed to repay on time.
The house was about to be auctioned off.
Yet it was Amias who couldn't bring himself to let go of the house where he grew up, wanting to preserve some memories for Vespera.
So he sold his house in the capital city and bought back this house.
Without the legal procedures, Jasper's family would never have cooperated with the ownership change.
"Yes," Amias replied.
"The funeral is over. Do you all still want to stay as guests?" Fiona looked at the Blacksmith family members.
Everyone was stunned for a moment.
They realized Fiona was helping Emrys and Amias see the guests out.
"No, we have things to do at home!"
"Yes, my grandson is still at home. Emrys, I'll be leaving now. Don't be too sad about your grandmother's passing. Study hard, and come visit us during the holidays!"
"That's right. Emrys, you're a good kid. We've all seen it. If you need anything, just call. Family should always help each other!"
The adults who had previously criticized Emrys suddenly changed their attitude.
Before leaving, they were exceptionally kind to Emrys.
Emrys felt a mix of emotions.
Because his family was gentle by nature, these relatives never really showed them the respect they deserved.

"Wrong." Fiona stared at Jasper.
