Chapter 812 Bad Ending
Alexander fell silent.
In this world, was there a more reasonable woman than his wife?
"But he is Wyatt." Alexander lowered his eyelids, looking pitiful.
Stella was very clever and had seen through Alexander's thoughts. She said, "But you defeated him and married me."
The corners of Alexander's mouth immediately lifted uncontrollably.
"However, Wyatt probably won't let it go so easily." Stella's expression dimmed.
Alexander freed up a hand and held Stella's hand, saying, "It's okay, I will handle it."
Stella looked at Alexander, and the stone pressing on her heart immediately disappeared.
She suddenly remembered a lecture she had heard a long time ago, where a psychologist said that having a partner with emotional stability is very fortunate and can change a person's life.
At that time, Stella was very disdainful of such claims.
Could emotional stability bring such great benefits?
Now, Alexander has confirmed what the psychologist said.
"So, I'll leave it to you, okay?" Stella said with a smile.
Alexander replied, "Okay."
These days, he felt very satisfied.
Stella even felt that the coldness in him had diminished.
They were back home, and a servant hurried over.
He complained about a crazy man who had come looking for Stella and almost got into a fight with him.
"I've been working in this house for half a lifetime and have never encountered such rudeness, I was so scared!" he said.
Stella then learned that Wyatt had even come to Alexander's house. She began to worry faintly.
Some works had started to pile up for Alexander to deal with, so he had to leave for a few days. Now he was even more clingy than before.
While Alexander was working in his office, Stella lounged on the sofa in the study, replying to work messages.
As she was replying, she saw a message from Fiona, who was the only one showing kindness to her when she was embroiled in negative public opinion.
Stella truly considered Fiona a friend. She quickly replied.
Stella: [I didn't have my phone on for a few days, I already know.]
After a while, Fiona replied.
Fiona: [Just got a call from Oliver, heard that Wyatt escaped from the hospital and went to the hotel to confront you guys?]
Stella: [Of course. I just found out that my husband is quite skilled. He dislocated Wyatt's arm with a couple of moves, then casually put it back!]
Fiona saw Stella's message and paused for a moment before bursting into laughter.
Stella was not one to fake emotions, and it seemed she had truly let go of Wyatt and was moving forward.
Fiona was genuinely touched.
Why were these high and mighty young masters always unappreciative when they had someone, only to regret it when they lost their wives?
However...
Fiona quickly typed on her phone.
Fiona: [Did Alexander take action? Just heard from Oliver that Wyatt was sent to the hospital spitting blood. Did Alexander do that?]
Stella: [What!!!]
Stella looked at Alexander.
Alexander was in a meeting and, seeing Stella's anxious look, he signaled to pause and walked over, asking, "What's wrong?"
"Honestly, did you overexert when you hit Wyatt just now?" Stella asked, "I just heard that Wyatt spat blood after we left."
"Overexert?" Alexander burst into laughter and then placed his large hand on Stella's forehead. "Darling, did I forget to explain? I'm not skilled, and I didn't hit him too hard."
His smile was particularly charming.
Previously, Stella had not been enamored with Alexander's looks at all. She had preferred sharp-featured Wyatt. But now, she felt she had been naive.
This kind of understated charm was truly handsome.
She could see the stark contrast between the mesmerized look he gave her and his usual self.
Alexander's occasional smile added a touch of allure.
Even if Stella didn't have romantic feelings for Alexander, she was quite taken with him.
She said, "Let's discuss the matter of overexertion later. Alexander, I want to kiss you."
Alexander was momentarily stunned, then instinctively leaned in and kissed Stella on the lips before asking, "Why the sudden kiss?"
Alexander was still not very adept at such things.
So, he needed to ask more to understand when Stella wanted to kiss.
"Because you're super cute." Stella remarked as she pinched Alexander's cheek. "Regarding the use of force, if you didn't overexert, why did he spit blood? Is he trying to frame us?"
"Anger leads to internal injury." Alexander squeezed Stella's hand. "After all, he just realized how great you are, and you're mine."
"Don't be so proud!" Stella patted his hand. "Take Wyatt as a warning. I've loved him for over a decade. He doesn't know to cherish me, so I decide to call it quits. If you treat me like he does…"
Before Stella could finish, Alexander kissed her on the lips, interrupting her warning, and said, "You have my word."
"You go to a meeting." Stella began to shoo him away.
Alexander got up with a smile and went back to his work.
Stella then replied to Fiona.
Stella: [Just confirmed, it wasn't my husband who did it!]
After replying, Stella sat there, staring at her phone screen.
Honestly, in all the years of ups and downs, Stella had fantasized countless times about leaving without mercy, no longer loving Wyatt.
And then, like the protagonist in a romance novel, Wyatt would suddenly realize how good she was and come back to her in tears.
It was true that it was Wyatt who came back to her in Stella's past fantasies.
In all those fantasies, Stella had never assumed that she wouldn't forgive Wyatt.
When she saw Darwin chasing after his wife in despair before, Stella thought that Wyatt might be next.
But she didn't expect it to happen so soon.
The scenarios she had fantasized about were unfolding, but now Stella's only concern was not to cause trouble for Alexander. She had no intention of forgiving Wyatt at all.
Stella's heart ached densely.
It wasn't for Wyatt, who spat blood.
It was for herself, who had waited for Wyatt for over a decade, only to not receive the long-awaited outcome.
Stella's eyes began to sting.
At that moment, her phone buzzed.
She picked it up and saw a message from Fiona.
Fiona: [That's good.]
[But, I seem to have forgotten something.]
[Stella, congratulations on finding the other half of your life. I hope you both have a happy and fulfilling life.]
