Chapter 1032
"Slow down." Fiona gently pressed Stella's hand.
"Is Arnold dead?" Stella ran up to Fiona, her face pale.
"Yes." Fiona nodded.
Stella wiped the sweat from her forehead. "Who would be so cruel to kill a fifty-year-old man?"
"Are we going to the maternity care center?" Fiona asked her.
Stella nodded, then bit her lip in anger. "Arnold was such a kind person. Just a few days ago, he was talking about his little grandson's third birthday and planning to give him a meaningful gift!"
She was furious.
Alexander also walked over.
Fiona nodded at him and then said to Stella, "The police should catch the killer soon. Don't be upset. When we get to Thalassa, don't let her notice anything."
"I know." Stella nodded.
Stella knew that, her mother, Pamela had a very difficult time during childbirth. After that, she was always unhappy. Her milk dried up quickly, which indirectly led to improper postpartum care. She was already depressed, and her postpartum depression worsened. Therefore, she understand the importance of the mood of a lying-in woman.
Fiona left Christopher behind. She and Stella went to the maternity care center together.
On the way, Fiona even bought some of Thalassa's favorite desserts.
When the car entered the garage, it was clear that the security personnel were not from the maternity care center. They came forward to inquire.
Seeing it was Fiona and Stella, they immediately let them through respectfully.
"Are they hired bodyguards?" Stella whispered to Fiona.
"Judging by their attitude, they might be." Fiona lowered her eyes and smiled self-deprecatingly. "I used to be so nervous, taking on so many responsibilities for Kenny. I wonder if he has a notebook where he keeps track of all my troubles."
Stella's eyes lit up, believing her. "Does Kenny have such a notebook?"
Fiona gently tapped her on the forehead. "Do you believe everything I say? If he really had such a notebook, would he tell me?"
Stella rubbed her forehead. "Anyway, if your husband or Thalassa's husband had that notebook, it would be big trouble!"
Fiona was thoroughly amused. "So if Mr. Beaumont had a notebook, what would it be?"
Stella didn't hesitate. "A list of prescription drugs!" Then she burst into laughter.
After laughing, she lightly slapped her own cheeks. "Arnold just died, and I'm laughing so happily. I'm terrible."
"It's alright." Fiona gently patted her back. "We will give Arnold the respect he deserves."
"Yes!"
After the car stopped, the two walked to the elevator, where a few people stood, looking particularly vigilant.
Once they recognized who it was, they relaxed and let them through.
Fiona casually asked, "Have you noticed any suspicious people?"
"We caught two people trying to take secret photos but nothing else," the other person replied.
Fiona remained silent.
The Walker family's celebration was particularly grand.
The news of Thalassa and Kenny's child's birth had naturally spread.
Kenny, a top-notch romantic, was always popular on the internet.
Half a month ago, the news of Nora's birth even trended.
Some internet celebrities and reporters tried their best to get a photo of Nora's face to gain attention.
