Chapter 1333

"Medicine bottles?" Fiona's face clouded over.

Amias nodded and quickly pulled out his phone, scrolling through his chat with Emrys until he found a video.

In the video, Emrys was filming Vespera.

Vespera was shaking, clutching two medicine bottles tightly. She looked around nervously before staring out the door. "No, this isn't right," she muttered.

Suddenly, Fiona remembered what Vespera had said yesterday: "Everything was fine before. I still can't understand why Aiden's illness suddenly got worse. Mr. Graham said that as long as he took his medicine regularly, he'd be just like a normal person. How could his illness suddenly flare up?"

In the video, Vespera clung to the two medicine bottles and whispered, "If he takes his medication regularly, he can live like normal people."

Emrys' parents exchanged a look but decided to let Fiona continue her thoughts without interrupting.

"Mr. Blacksmith, thanks for letting me know about this." Fiona gathered her thoughts and nodded politely to Amias.

Amias replied, "No need to thank me; helping you is what matters most!"

After a few more words, Emrys' parents went off to handle their business.

Fiona stood by the car.

She glanced at Charles and Chicago, who were sleeping soundly inside, and her mind kept replaying the image of Vespera clutching the two medicine bottles.

Could it be that Aiden's relapse back then wasn't an accident but was caused by someone?

This thought startled Fiona. Who would switch Aiden's medicine?

Fiona had investigated Aiden for a long time, and none of the people who had interacted with Aiden and were still alive had anything negative to say about him.

Even Nathaniel, who was jealous of Aiden's intellect and ability to run the company, couldn't help but reveal how good Aiden was to him.

Who would harm him?

Based on who stood to benefit, the only suspects were Nathaniel and his wife.

However, Fiona's gut told her otherwise.

She didn't dwell on this question for too long and directly called Hubert.

"What's up?" There was some background noise on Hubert's end.

"Vespera has passed away," Fiona said.

Hubert paused and asked, "Is that the one who was with Grandma Mitchell?"

"Yes," Fiona replied.

Hubert said, "Then I should make a donation in Vespera's memory. My father was once cared for by her."

"I'll help you with that later. Right now, there's something else I want to ask you." Fiona's voice was quite serious.

Hubert sensed that something significant might have happened and said, "Go ahead."

Fiona asked, "Do you have records of the medicine Aiden used to take? Were they in bottles?"

"Of course." Hubert nodded.

Fiona continued, "Can you confirm the color and size of the bottles?"

"Sure, all medication records are archived. Based on the records, I can look up the packaging from back then." Hubert paused and asked, "Why are you asking about this all of a sudden?"

Fiona replied, "Vespera said something that made me suspicious about Aiden's sudden relapse and the killing of Marisole back then."

Hubert exclaimed, "Suspicious? What kind of suspicion?"
