Chapter 838 The Lying Spirit

Rebecca's behavior was sudden.

No one reacted in time.

Watching Rebecca's forehead about to hit the sharp corner of the table, Christopher appeared and kicked Rebecca's shoulder, sending her flying out.

This time in City R. Initially, Christopher wasn't going to come because he couldn't bring Charlotte along.

Charlotte's current situation is not suitable for traveling abroad. If Simon's family was still after her, it was very dangerous. But Charlotte insisted.

Charlotte was worried about Chicago and Charles and insisted that Christopher come along.

Christopher had no choice but to come along.

Just now, after Stella and Alexander left, Fiona was uneasy and asked him to check on things.
Then, he could tell Fiona about the situation there when he come back. She also wanted to catch up on gossip.

With Christopher's many years of professional experience, blending into a crowd without attracting attention was easy for him.

It was just a coincidence.

Christopher was standing near the corner of the table that Rebecca was about to hit.

When she rushed over, Christopher didn't hesitate to kick her away.

"Christopher, impressive!" Preston was the first to react, giving Christopher a thumbs up, then pointing to Rebecca struggling on the ground, holding her shoulder. "Aren't you still giving up? Are you trying to die in our house and then blame Stella? Nice try! Let me tell you; as soon as we knew you were here, all the surveillance in our lobby was turned on; every word you say here, every action, has been recorded. Even if you really die here, it has nothing to do with the Beaumont family! I will spread these videos everywhere; I won't let you rest in peace!"

Christopher was speechless.

It was a pity Burl didn't come.

When Preston got crazy, he was on par with Burl.

"Rebecca!" Adam nervously ran to Rebecca.

"Dad, it hurts so much..." Rebecca was covered in cold sweat.

Adam looked back at Stella and said, "Stella, just let Rebecca go! What happened in the past is all my fault".

"You know you're wrong, and you're emotionally blackmailing my wife here, right?" Alexander spoke with disgust, "You are even more shameless and despicable than I imagined."

Alexander started to scold them directly. The White family of four were all shocked.

"Alexander, he's still your father. How can you say such words?" Henry's face darkened; he looked like he had reached his limit.

In his view, this whole situation was just Rebecca's bad luck, caught by Fiona and Alexander.

Stella was originally the mistress's daughter.

Her mother destroyed their family, so what's wrong with Rebecca retaliating a bit?

Henry didn't think Rebecca was wrong.

He actually thought that Stella and Alexander were being too relentless.

Stella looked at them and said, "I'm not holding a grudge against you; that's already the greatest kindness I can offer you."

"Hurry up and leave, or I'll get really angry. I won't care about your reputation; Rebecca has already ruined me. I don't care about that anymore."

As her words fell, Adam shouted back, "Since you don't care anymore, then just leave things as they are; why drag Rebecca down with you? You've suffered before; you know how it feels. Can't you let her go?"

Preston retorted, "My goodness, do you even listen to what you're saying? The suffering Stella went through was all arranged by Rebecca! The accusations that are about to fall on her are all because of what she did back then, and they have nothing to do with Stella. They're both your daughters; after knowing the whole story, you can't say such disgusting things!"

"Preston!" Frederick shouted, saying that he and Preston were of similar age. They had even studied together for two years.

Frederick didn't dare to shout at Stella and Alexander, but he dared to with Preston.

"What are you shouting about?" Stella's tone became even colder; her gaze fell on Adam's pale face. "Did he say something wrong? Dad, Rebecca harmed me not because I'm the mistress's daughter but because she was jealous of me. She thought everyone treated me well, but... clearly, you treated her better from childhood, grooming her as the heir. And me, I was just pampered by you, a tool for future business alliances."

With that, Stella looked at Rebecca and said, "Rebecca, do you see it? He loves you, not me. Your past hatred and jealousy are ridiculous and unfounded."

Stella paused for a moment and said, "And I've seen through all of you. I'll say it one last time: Even if you get embroiled in a big problem, I will never forgive you. It's been many years. You should be punished, Rebecca."

Christopher's kick probably shattered Rebecca's shoulder. She stared at Stella fiercely, saying, "Stella, how long do you think you can have good days?"

Rebecca pointed at Alexander suddenly, saying, "He used to be a priest; I heard about it a long time ago; he returned to society because he fell in love with someone! He hasn't married that person for so many years; now he's married to you; what do you think he sees you as? You're just a tool for reproduction; once you have children, he'll kick you away!"

There were rumors in the circle. Alexander actually liked men. Otherwise, at his age, Alexander wouldn't still be unmarried.

Rebecca didn't want Stella to be happy. She felt that Stella didn't deserve such a good marriage.

After hearing it all, Stella didn't show the anger Rebecca expected but instead smiled. "Then you can wait and see."

"Utterly foolish, Alexander returned to society because he fell in love at first sight with Stella, who was set up for a blind date with him. He didn't marry for over a decade because he was waiting for her to break up with Wyatt. Do you think everyone is like you? Used as a tool for arranged marriages by their fathers, marrying off to exchange for resources for the family business? Love does exist in this world; do you understand love?" Preston sneered, "Right, the heavens are fair, a vile woman like you; how can you deserve such a good love?"

Preston raised his chin, the smile on his face slowly fading. "You only deserve to be discovered for who you really are, damage the reputation of your in-laws, be despised by them, and then be abandoned by your husband."

"Lies!" Rebecca gritted her teeth, then tried to pounce on Stella. "You're lying again! Stella, you're a lying spirit; you've been a liar since you were a child!"

"When you were little, you lied to others that you were my mother's daughter, not an illegitimate daughter! Your mother wasn't a mistress!"

"Do you even know how many lies you've told?"

Stella stood up, looking down at Rebecca.

"I can't count them." Her tone was cold, her gaze fixed on Rebecca. "But I remember, the dumbest lie I ever told was... it wasn't your fault."
