Chapter 690 Announce the Will

Xavier looked at the man who had been beaten. "Isn't it embarrassing to lose like this?"

The man scratched his head and glanced at the second floor in frustration. "How come her hearing is so good?"

Xavier's expression changed. "Christopher has been training her hearing since she was little so she can escape danger better."

With such good hearing, she could not only escape but also accurately predict her opponents' moves during fights. As Charlotte grew older, the uncles here would probably no longer be her match. Besides, her current teacher was Stuart.

Just as Xavier was thinking, Stuart's voice came from a distance. "Jess!"

Xavier unconsciously looked over and saw Stuart walking just fine before Jessie pounced on him and knocked him down. Jessie was extremely happy. In the morning light, its golden fur seemed to be glowing as it wagged its tail joyously around Stuart.

Jes was Stuart's nickname for Jessie.

Well, Stuart took back what he thought about Stuart.

"Today, Stuart is getting beaten up by Jessie again." someone sighed.

Since Stuart took Jessie's chicken leg to compost, he completely offended Jessie. The relationship between him and the dog could be quite tense.

Fiona had just arrived at the company when the legal department handed her the documents transferring business operations in the Grand Bellflower District, which the Astralis family had signed.

"Carefully review these documents and make sure there are no hidden tricks. This family is very skilled at playing these games," Fiona said coldly.

"Yes!" Antony promptly replied.

When Fiona noticed that Antony didn't leave, she looked up at him. "Is there something else?"

Antony pursed his lips and said, "Should Darwin's will be announced?"

Fiona's gaze turned cold instantly. "Only a dead person's will need to be announced. Is he dead?"

This was not the first time Antony had met Fiona. Antony would always remember the first time he caught a glimpse of Fiona at his grandparents' golden wedding celebration.

But the person then and the person in front of him now were completely different. Both were strong, but Fiona's aura of ruthlessness was so heavy now.

"It was my mistake," Antony immediately said.

Fiona shifted her gaze away and ignored him.

Antony tactfully left.

Antony ran into Henry at the door.

Seeing Antony in a state of disarray, Henry said, "I advised you not to bring up this issue, but you didn't listen."

"These two couples are the same at heart," Antony sighed. "Darwin left behind so much inheritance. Once his death is declared, it will all belong to her."

Antony didn't say that besides setting up trust funds for their two children, Darwin left all his property to Fiona. Even after working as a lawyer for many years, Antony had never encountered a will where only symbolic amounts were given to the children, and the rest was given to the wife.

"After the plane crash of Secretary Woods all those years ago, Mr. Solomon also refused to believe that she died and kept waiting. Secretary Woods did come back. Now, even if it seems impossible to us, I also want to wait for a miracle with Fiona."

"Miracles are rare precisely." Antony sighed. "Anyway, if she changes her mind one day, remember to let me know."

"Okay."

Antony left with a heavy expression.

Henry knocked on the door and started his work for the day.

Before leaving, Fiona had registered for Thalassa.

Chicago's intervention would certainly be effective, but it was Janna who was about to explode with anger that made Thalassa go out.

Then, Kenny drove with Thalassa in the passenger seat. Charles, Chicago, and Charlotte sat in the back.

"Honey, is it immature of me to make these kids worry?" Thalassa glanced at the back and asked Kenny in a low voice.

Kenny could only smile wryly.

They arrived at the hospital.

Thalassa didn't smell the expected odor and felt relieved.

After a simple check-up, it was confirmed that Thalassa's morning sickness was indeed severe. But it hadn't caused any bodily issues for now, so they were prescribed some soothing supplements.

Once they left the hospital, Thalassa felt much better.

"Godmother, is it because we're outside that you don't feel like throwing up as much?" Charles asked.

Thalassa thought for a moment, "Oh yeah, these past few days, I've just been eating and sleeping. Since that's the case, let's find a place to have fun!" she said.

Looking at Charlotte, who didn't speak much but was clearly very alert to her surroundings, Thalassa asked, "Charlotte, do you have any place you want to go and have fun?"

Charlotte was taken aback as if this question had stumped her. She had no knowledge of where children should go to play.

"Chicago, where do you want to go?" she instinctively looked at Chicago.

Thalassa caught the brief bewilderment in Charlotte's eyes and felt even more sorry for her.

"We can't go to the amusement park. There are too many people. Auntie is under special protection now. I'll take you there alone next time," Chicago said seriously to Charlotte. "Do you also like the things that Big Brother likes? Then let's go to the science museum or the museum."

Charlotte nodded.

Anyway, wherever Chicago wanted to go, they would go.

"What do you think, godmother?" Chicago looked at Thalassa.

"Then let's go to the science museum first, and then your godfather will treat you to a super luxurious children's meal. In the afternoon, we'll go to the museum, buy your mommy's favorite food, and pick her up from work!" Thalassa made the arrangements so thoroughly.

Both Chicago and Kenny frowned at the same time.

"Will you be too tired?" they said in unison.

"Can Big Brother do it? Can little sister do it? Can godmother do it?" Chicago worried about everything that could be worried about.

"Of course, little sister can do it!" Thalassa looked at Charles. "What about big brother?"

"I've already recovered," Charles said helplessly, "I'm fine."

"Great! The five of us, officially setting off!" Thalassa exclaimed immediately.

Kenny smiled helplessly.

What could he do when his wife had so much energy? He couldn't bear to force Thalassa to stay at home.

Kenny could only follow carefully, protecting them.

Chicago had developed a strong interest in photography.

She was taking pictures very seriously all the time.

At the science museum, she kept snapping away, and even during lunch, she continued to take photos. At the museum, she couldn't stop taking pictures.

The museum they visited this time showcased the clothing styles and jewelry of different countries.

What made Thalassa the happiest was Charlotte.

Charlotte was a bit reserved in the morning, but by lunchtime, she had become more cheerful, laughing sweetly.

After the museum, the five of them lined up to buy Fiona's favorite food and drinks.

Then, before six o'clock, they arrived at Solomon.

Because they wanted to surprise Fiona.

Little did they know that they only saw Henry when they arrived at Solomon's.

"Fiona went to Solomon Energy, and something happened over there," Henry frowned in annoyance.

"Miss and Mister, it's better for you not to go."

Thalassa and Kenny exchanged a glance.

"Okay, you can go too. We'll take them back," Thalassa nodded.
