Chapter 94 Eric Totally Lost it
The underground parking garage of the nursing home.
Last night, Fiona had rushed in and barely remembered where she parked.
It took her forever to find the car.
Right then, Darwin's annoying call buzzed in again.
Fiona picked up, "Mr. Solomon, I just found the car. Can you chill for a sec?"
Darwin let out a cold snort, making no attempt to hide his displeasure. "It's already late. Even if you come back now, you'll miss dinner."
"So, can I just—"
"No, you can't!" Darwin cut her off and hung up.
Fiona smirked.
Seeing Darwin lose his cool sometimes was kinda funny.
"What do you wanna eat?" Darwin's tone softened a bit. "I'll order from the restaurant and have it sent to the apartment."
She must be wiped from all the running around.
Going to the restaurant would be another hassle.
"Anything's fine," Fiona said, unlocking the car door.
"Just tell me what you like!" Darwin snapped, annoyed.
Fiona felt a bit stuck.
Just as she was about to name a couple of dishes, someone suddenly jumped her from behind.
The person moved so fast that before she could react, a cloth with a nasty smell covered her nose and mouth.
Her phone hit the ground hard.
It got stomped on by the attacker.
Before blacking out, Fiona's mind was only on the baby in her belly.
Darwin was waiting for Fiona to order.
He heard a scuffle on the other end, followed by a loud noise, and then the call dropped.
"Fiona!" Darwin jumped up and yelled.
He quickly redialed, but all he got was a cold, unreachable message.
"Mr. Solomon, what's up?" Henry, sitting in the passenger seat, turned around, confused.
Darwin tried calling Fiona a bunch more times, but it was the same message every time.
Thinking about the noise he had just heard, his face went dark.
"Call the nursing home right now and have them lock it down. No one and no cars in or out!" he barked, quickly finding a number and dialing it.
The phone rang forever with no answer.
Darwin cursed, "Head to the nursing home!"
Fiona was groggy, feeling her hands and feet were tied up.
She must be in the trunk of a car?
The ride was super bumpy.
She curled up, instinctively trying to protect her belly.
Was she kidnapped?
Who did it? Anniston? Hathaway?
She had been too noticeable lately, and with the energy company CEO drama, she must be on a lot of people's hit lists.
She didn't know how long she had been tossed around.
The car finally stopped.
Moments later, the trunk popped open.
A familiar scent hit her, and she was lifted out by someone.
She couldn't open her eyes.
She could only feel that the person was a tall guy wearing strong cologne.
Her mind was foggy.
A name was on the tip of her tongue, but she just couldn't remember it.
"Ms. Woods, you're so beautiful." A creepy voice whispered in her ear.
Fiona frowned, feeling waves of nausea.
But that gross voice was Eric's.
He had been having a rough time lately.
No matter how many women he hooked up with, in bed, he couldn't help but imagine them as Fiona.
If he didn't, he couldn't get it up at all.
Because of the deal with the Solomon Group, he often ran into Darwin, who always had Fiona with him. She never even glanced his way, and when she did, it was with pure disgust.
The more she acted like that, the more Eric wanted her.
With Hathaway constantly pushing him, Eric finally decided. No more Mr. Nice Guy; he was gonna take Fiona by force.
He was sure he was way better than Darwin.
Once Fiona got a taste, after being forced once, twice, three or four times, she'd fall for him just like all the others!
Thinking this, Eric had his guys start tailing Fiona.
He got lucky.
Just as he was about to make his move, Fiona and Darwin split up, and she headed to the suburbs.
Made it way easier for him to act.
Even the universe was on his side.
Eric carried Fiona to the bedroom he had all set up for her.
The big room was packed with vibrant roses.
In stark contrast to the roses were the weird, variously sized tools hanging on the walls.
Eric had fantasized about this a million times.
Finally having Fiona, he was gonna use every single tool on her this time.
He carefully laid Fiona on a crimson sofa.
Then, like he was admiring a masterpiece, he stepped back to take a look at her.
The clothes were all wrong.
And she reeked of hospital disinfectant.
He needed to wash her first and then put her in a hot red dress.
Meanwhile, Fiona struggled to open her eyes.
"Awake?" Eric moved closer, his fingers reaching for her cheek.
Fiona dodged him in disgust.
Eric's hand missed, but he didn't care.
"I should've recorded how you looked just now, so when you beg for me later, I can show it to you!" he said, sounding regretful.
"If you dare touch me, Darwin won't let you off," Fiona said, each word sharp.
Eric was stunned for a moment, then laughed. "Stupid woman, to Darwin, you're just a pretty toy. And I'm the guy in charge of the hundred-billion-dollar contract he busted his ass to get. Even if I ruin you, no matter how pissed he gets, he won't ditch a hundred-billion-dollar deal for a pretty toy, right?"
He paused.
Then he looked at Fiona with fake affection. "Besides, don't you know Darwin? He's a germaphobe. Even if he likes you, once I've had you, he'll think you're dirty and won't want you!"
Fiona's face went pale.
Because she knew Eric was right.
"Sweetie, stop thinking about Darwin. Just stay with me. I'll treat you better than he does!" Eric said, trying to sound seductive.
But Fiona only felt more nauseous.
The nausea had been there from the start, and now it was getting worse.
Unable to hold back, she dry-heaved.
Eric, who had been about to kiss her, jumped back two steps. "What the hell are you doing!"
Fiona turned to the side, vomiting.
Seeing this, Eric's affection immediately turned to disgust. "You're messing up my carpet!"
"Your guy's driving skills suck. The bumps made me sick," Fiona said, pretending to vomit again.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Eric losing it.
Fiona's heart sank further.
Would Darwin realize she had been kidnapped? Would he come to save her?
