Chapter 1320

After waking up, Xavier was still feeling pretty weak. He spent a week in the ICU, then got moved to a special care unit, and just recently, he was transferred to a general ward.

When Christopher came to visit, it seemed like Xavier had bounced back ages ago.

Christopher hated doing homework, so Charles ended up handling it.

Charles had Christopher write a few words, then scanned them into a machine. The machine quickly analyzed Christopher's handwriting.

Before long, the homework notebook popped out of the printer, with Christopher's notes looking all distorted and ugly.

"Mr. Solomon, you're amazing!" Christopher exclaimed, almost kneeling in admiration.

Charles was a bit puzzled by her direct gaze but met her eyes.

"Why did you do this?" Charlotte asked, "This isn't a good way to do homework."

Charles was at a loss for words.

"This is a new module developed by the Solomon Group AI," he explained, "It's still in the testing phase."

"Alright." Charlotte nodded and added, "Thanks."

Then she pulled the grateful Christopher away.

Fiona patted Charles on the head. "Charlotte didn't mean any harm."

Charles nodded, quietly putting away his things. He said, "But this module needs to be used carefully. Handwriting imitation can lead to problems with both crime and laziness."

"Then think about how to avoid those problems," Fiona said gently.

"Okay." Charles responded softly, then obediently said goodnight to Janna and Fiona and went upstairs.

Janna watched the small yet inexplicably mature figure.

"What do you think Charles will be like when he grows up?" Janna asked somewhat wistfully.

She could imagine what her beloved Chicago would be like when he grew up, but she couldn't picture Charles.

She didn't believe she would live to see them grow up. Whenever she thought about it, she couldn't help but feel sadness and regret.

"First of all, definitely good-looking," Fiona said.

"What's the use of being good-looking? Isn't Burl good-looking?" Janna thought of Burl and felt a pang of worry. When chatting with Elodie, Elodie worried about Harold's marriage, and Janna could deeply relate. Stuart, meanwhile, only focused on the farm and had no intention of getting married.

Stuart was plain-looking, so he was hardly worth mentioning. But Burl was very handsome, and before they knew it, he was 25, then 30. So good-looking, yet still single!

"Charles isn't even as lively as Burl!" The more Janna thought about it, the more worried she became. "I think that when Melissa grows up, she'll be a great match for Charles!"

"I think so too!" Ashton suddenly appeared out of nowhere, startling Janna and Fiona.

"You seem to be in agreement!" Fiona shook her head.

Other kids Charles's age had parents worrying about their studies.

But with Charles, it was different.

His studies were impeccable, and at such a young age, he even had his own career.

Fiona and the others had nothing to worry about.

Yet they started worrying early about his marriage.

That night, Fiona told Hubert about it, asking him to pass it on to Darwin, so he would know how ridiculous Janna and Ashton were being.
