Chapter 1271
Not long after checking out the company, Charles cut right to the chase.
"Given where Phoenix Prism is at right now, there's no need for the PR department, copywriting, creative department, or even the sales department," he said, cool as a cucumber.
Finnian just glanced at Charles and smiled, keeping quiet.
Jam was taken aback.
How could Charles be even more blunt than Fiona?
"Do you even know what the PR and creative departments do?" The head of PR asked, trying to keep a fake smile.
"I might not know the nitty-gritty of your PR and creative departments," Charles replied, looking the guy straight in the eye. "But I've gone through Phoenix Prism's business data for the past three years. To put it simply, the PR and creative departments haven't added any value. The only thing keeping Phoenix Prism alive is its tech. That's why you crumbled so fast against AI competition."
"How old are you anyway? Can you even understand business data?" The PR manager, clearly embarrassed and pissed, shot back with a cold glare. "We've been busting our butts for years. If it weren't for your Solomon Group AI..."
"Shut up!" Jam yelled, furious.
The PR manager clenched his teeth but stayed silent.
Finnian, who had been quiet, gave the PR manager a meaningful look. "You asked how old our seventh engineer is. He reviewed your business data, walked around the company, and knows who's just wasting time in their position, while you know nothing. You should really think about why you're not as good as a kid."
The PR manager dared to challenge Charles, but when it came to the well-known industry figure Finnian, he kept his mouth shut.
Soon, Jam took Finnian and the seventh engineer, Charles, to the conference room.
In the conference room, only the tech team was allowed in today; everyone else had to wait outside.
The PR manager paced back and forth.
"What is Mr. Winchester thinking? Is he really going to listen to the nonsense of a kid?"
"Fiona showed absolute disdain for our company yesterday, and today she brought her son over. It's clear she wants to mock us and trample on our dignity!"
"If the Solomon Group doesn't invest, so be it. There are plenty of investment companies out there; we don't need the Solomon Group!"
"Anyway, it was Jam who signed the bet-on agreement with the Solomon Group!" Thaddeus kept venting his frustration.
Finally, someone couldn't take it anymore. "Thaddeus, you can't say that. Jam has taken a lot of heat for us. Saying such things is heartless!"
The PR manager sneered, "Let's be real. Aren't we just in a boss-employee relationship? Isn't he just doing his job? The company's current state is also due to his incompetence! And now, Darwin has ditched us, and we have to bow down to a woman and a kid!"
The faces of several Phoenix Prism execs across from him were particularly grim.
It wasn't because the PR manager's words were enlightening, but because they couldn't help but think of Fiona's questioning of Phoenix Prism's personnel decisions before she left yesterday.
If the company was full of people like the PR manager, then its downfall was inevitable.
Everyone exchanged glances, seemingly realizing that Jam's call for serious action yesterday must be taken seriously.
In the conference room, Finnian still recognized the abilities of Phoenix Prism's tech staff. He also listened carefully to their current market challenges.
After more than three hours of discussion, Phoenix Prism's tech team had learned a lot.
Finally, Charles calmly and firmly said, "No matter how powerful AI is, it's ultimately a tool used by humans. Right now, using Solomon Group AI has a certain threshold and isn't suitable for everyone. Maybe you can start from this angle, and you might come up with some good ideas."
Many people were already doing this, like using AI to assist in drawing.
It's not like you could draw well just because you wanted to; you had to use some keyword combinations, and how you applied those phrases determined the outcome of the artwork.
