Chapter 1111
"If you really cared about us, you would've told everyone in the shareholders' group right away. Instead, you kept quiet and waited for Mr. Solomon's return at the meeting to propose that!" the guy sneered. "Pretending to care is a joke. You're just trying to humiliate Mr. Solomon so he can't come back to the Solomons, right?"
"That's nonsense!" Zachary stood up, pointing and cursing.
"Exactly!" Elijah stood up too.
It looked like a fight was about to break out.
The guy who had been mocking them spread his hands. "What's true or false here? What are your intentions? You know better than anyone, and I bet Mr. Solomon and Mrs. Solomon do too. If you're plotting against Mr. Solomon, they won't let you off."
The three of them turned pale, then flushed red.
"Whatever, I'm right, and I can't be bothered to argue with you!" Zachary shoved the guy aside and stormed out.
The other two quickly followed, heads down.
Behind them, murmurs filled the room.
The three of them moved quickly, heads bowed, a sense of dread hanging over them.
"How could this happen!" Once they reached a deserted spot, Elijah broke down.
He squatted down, crying with his head in his hands. "I didn't make a single penny, and now I've made such a huge mistake with you guys instead!"
"Stop crying!" Zachary snapped, then quickly tapped on his phone, messaging someone.
But after sending the message, he got a notification of a friend request.
"Damn it! He deleted me!" Zachary cursed.
About a month and a half ago, he got an anonymous email in the middle of the night.
The email had records of his tax evasion over the past decade, plus evidence of him and the other two using the Solomons' resources for side jobs.
Zachary had seen firsthand how Fiona dealt with Leonardo and his team when she first arrived at the Solomons.
It scared him so much he couldn't sleep for days, fearing Fiona would expose his crimes.
After a while, when he didn't hear anything about Fiona investigating shareholders, he relaxed a bit.
Knowing Darwin was still alive, his last bit of worry also faded.
Then, out of nowhere, he got that damning email.
The evidence was solid.
He couldn't argue or deny any of it.
So, he called the number in the email.
The person on the other end got straight to the point. "I work for Mrs. Solomon. You should know that over the past six months, Mrs. Solomon has put in a lot of effort for the company. Now Mr. Solomon wants to return to the Solomons and have Mrs. Solomon return to the family. She has finally reached the pinnacle of power and is unwilling to give it up. So, she needs you to do something to prevent Darwin from returning to the Solomons."
At that moment, Zachary almost said, "You want me to go against Darwin? Are you crazy?"
The other person continued, "Darwin isn't the same as before. Due to the explosion accident, he had a blood clot in his brain that hasn't dissipated. Now it has, but he has lost his memory. Besides, with Mrs. Solomon around, you don't have to worry about what he can do to you."
"Lost his memory?" Zachary was shocked.
"Yeah, otherwise, why do you think Darwin has been back for so long but hasn't taken over the consortium's affairs? Of course, One reason is that Mrs. Solomon's unwillingness to relinquish power, but his memory loss is a bigger reason."
After thinking it over, Zachary stayed silent.
Seeing his silence, the other person was blunt. "I'll show you Darwin's medical records. Help Mrs. Solomon, or the contents of the email will be exposed. It's up to you guys."
With that, the call ended.
Shortly after, Zachary received a friend request.
