Chapter 679 Pregnant
"Godmother, what's wrong? Are you sick?" Charles quickly asked.
Thalassa waved her hand and rubbed her still nauseous chest.
Thalassa had always been like this since she was little. When she was nervous, she was prone to indigestion.
"It's nothing. Maybe I've been eating greasy food these past few days." Thalassa exhaled and smiled at Charles. "Don't worry, baby."
Charles nodded. "I'll get you some water."
"No need!" Thalassa rubbed her chest.
Seeing Thalassa in such discomfort, Fiona suddenly thought of something.
"Thalassa, did you have your period last month?" Fiona asked.
Thalassa used to have severe menstrual cramps.
Every time her period came, she would complain to Fiona.
But from what Thalassa remembered, last month, strictly speaking, a week before, Thalassa should have come to her because of her period, but Thalassa didn't.
Thalassa slightly paused.
Then she shook her head in confusion.
"You're not pregnant, are you?" Fiona blurted out.

Chicago had been talking about when his godmother would give birth to a little brother or sister. Was the little brother or sister really coming now?
Charles shifted his gaze, already starting to plan what kind of gift he should prepare for the upcoming baby.
Kenny was talking to Burl.
And then Thalassa and Fiona went mysteriously into the house.
"What are they doing?" Burl looked on, puzzled. "So secretive!"
After a while, the servant brought back the things Fiona had bought and delivered them to Fiona's room.
"Go ahead!" Fiona patted Thalassa's shoulder.
Thalassa was still a little confused and went into the bathroom with the bag.
A moment later, Thalassa came out looking bewildered.
"How is it?" Fiona asked anxiously.
"I have a few pregnancy test strips, all with two bars. Fiona, I'm actually pregnant." The baby's arrival was completely unexpected for Thalassa and Kenny.
They had always been careful with their safety measures.
Perhaps there was a bit of risky behavior after all.
And now she was pregnant??
Fiona immediately laughed. "What's there to be confused about? I can't even imagine how cute your child will look!"
"Don't say that!" Thalassa muttered, "What if I end up liking my child more in the future and favoring them over Chicago? What then?"
"What are you thinking?" Fiona tapped her forehead, "Of course, you will favor your own child! And Chicago will favor them, too! Chicago has been looking forward to your child for a long time! Don't you know that?"
Thalassa fell silent.
Indeed, that was true.
Kenny told her that Chicago had even seriously talked to him about it.
"But can I be a good mother?" Thalassa's biggest worry was still this.

She didn't want to become a mother like Maria.
"Of course you can," Fiona said gently.

"I was thinking about finding an excuse to come live with you, but now I don't need one. A little pregnant woman needs someone to take care of her, so I have to live with you!" Thalassa muttered.
Fiona smiled.
"Alright~ I will feed our little pregnant woman with delicious food every day!" She paused for a moment. "When are you going to tell Kenny and Janna? Janna's been so sad lately because of Darwin. With your little baby, she will definitely be ecstatic."
"We'll go to the hospital for a check-up first, confirm if there really is a baby, and then we'll come back and tell them!" Thalassa said.
"Yeah, I'll go with you."
Thalassa held onto Fiona and didn't let go.
Fiona let Thalassa hold her, gently stroking her back.
After a while, Fiona spoke up, "Burl talked to you about it, didn't he?"
Thalassa's body stiffened, and her voice involuntarily carried a sob, "He did."
Fiona smiled helplessly and said, "No wonder you didn't react when you came in and saw me by the lake. After talking to Burl for a while, you hurried over here. You guys aren't afraid that I'll commit suicide for love, are you?"
Thalassa remained silent.
Fiona patted Thalassa's back and said, "I won't."
"I'm pregnant now, so you can't deceive me!" Thalassa's voice became even more teary.
"I'm not deceiving you."
Fiona would never commit suicide for love.
As long as Fiona didn't find Darwin's body, he was alive to her.
