Chapter 1009 Movie Date
Ruben frowned slightly, sensing that Christina's attitude towards Renee wasn't very good either. "She said she couldn't find you and knew we knew each other, so she came here. Do you want to come over now?"
To be honest, Christina couldn't believe that Renee had no ulterior motives in coming to the Rojas Group at this time.
But if she didn't go over and take Renee away now, Renee definitely wouldn't leave willingly and would cause unnecessary trouble for Ruben.
Christina was helpless and finally decided to go over. "Ruben, wait for me, I'll be there soon."
Christina hung up the phone and hurried out to the Rojas Group.
When she saw Renee sitting and drinking tea in the president's office, she pulled her up with a stern face. "Get up, come with me."
"Christina!" Renee shook off her hand, unwilling to leave, "What are you doing? I rarely come here, why are you in such a hurry to leave?"
Did she intend to stay here? Christina really couldn't understand why Renee came here!
"If you don't leave, what are you doing here? This is someone else's company, not your home. Hurry up and come with me."
"Christina!" Renee put on a loving look and held her hand, "If I hadn't come here, I wouldn't have known you knew such a good guy like Mr. Rojas. You must cherish him!"
Christina was momentarily speechless, then turned to look at Ruben standing nearby and immediately understood.
Renee had misunderstood the relationship between her and Ruben.
Christina looked at Renee with disappointment and sarcasm. She just saw that Ruben was the president of the Rojas Group and wanted to establish a connection with him!
If Ruben were a poor man, Renee would probably despise him and scold her for having no taste, right?
"And then?" Christina sneered, "After I cherish him, what do you want to do next?"
Renee glanced at Ruben, pulled Christina aside, and whispered, "For him to become the president, he must have some connections. If you are with him, he can help Cheryl get some resources. Isn't that great?"
As expected, in the end, Renee was still thinking about herself and Cheryl, never really considering her own daughter.
Christina sighed, not wanting to say more, and turned to Ruben, apologizing, "Sorry, Ruben, for causing you trouble today. I'll take my mom back and explain later."
With that, Christina dragged Renee away.
Once outside the Rojas Group, Renee shook off her hand and looked at her with disappointment. "Christina, what are you thinking? He's the president of such a big company. If you don't hold on to him, what if someone else takes him?"
"Do you really think I have something with Ruben?" Christina sneered, "He's just my senior, that's all!"
Renee said, "Do you think I can't see it? Ruben clearly likes you. Christina, I advise you not to be picky. If you miss such a good man, you won't find another!"
"I'll tell you clearly, I don't have the kind of relationship you think with Ruben, and I never will. As for you wanting me to ask Ruben for resources for Cheryl, forget it. I won't do it!"
Christina didn't know how Renee misunderstood her relationship with Ruben, but she didn't bother to explain. Even if she did, it wouldn't make sense!
She clearly told Renee she wouldn't have anything with Ruben, hoping Renee wouldn't disturb her life or Ruben's in the future!
Hearing that Christina really wanted to give up such a good man as Ruben, Renee became anxious. "Christina, how can you be so stupid? Do you have to serve those old men and miss out on such a good young man like Ruben?"
Renee still thought she had some old men!
"Say whatever you want." Christina didn't want to say more, so she took out her phone and called a cab.
Renee became anxious, pacing back and forth. "Christina, I really advise you not to miss such a good person."
No matter what she said, Christina ignored her, just watching the cab's location on her phone.
When the cab arrived, Christina stuffed Renee into it, closed the door, and let her go.
Watching Renee leave, she breathed a long sigh of relief.
As long as the Russell family appeared in her life, it would be a mess, full of chaos.
After dealing with Renee, Christina hesitated for a moment and returned to the Rojas Group to find Ruben. "Ruben, I'm really sorry about today. I didn't expect my mom to come here."
"It's okay." Ruben looked at her, noticing she seemed upset, and asked with concern, "Are you feeling down?"
Christina didn't want to share her family matters with others, so she smiled and shook her head. "No."
"Is your relationship with your mom not good? I saw you were very nervous when she came here."
Anyone could see that Christina and Renee didn't have a good relationship, but Christina didn't want to reveal her embarrassing matters to Ruben. "No, Ruben."
As they were talking, Bernard called, and Christina quickly answered. "Christina, where are you?"
Knowing Bernard didn't like her having anything to do with Ruben, she decided not to tell him the truth and said she was out on an errand.
"Are you done? I'll come to pick you up."
Christina didn't dare let Bernard pick her up. If he came, her lie would be exposed. "No need, I'm already on my way back."
"Okay." Bernard didn't ask more and hung up.
After hanging up, Christina said goodbye to Ruben and took a cab back to the Mitchell Mansion.
Entering the Mitchell Mansion, Christina saw Hellen, Vincent, and Bernard sitting in the living room, chatting happily. Hellen was smiling brightly.
Seeing Christina come in, Hellen smiled and waved. "Christina is back, come over."
Christina smiled and sat next to Hellen. "Grandma, what are you talking about that's making you so happy?"
"We were talking about Bernard taking you to the movies later." Hellen held her hand and patted it gently.
Christina's eyes widened in disbelief. Bernard, a man who didn't understand romance, actually thought of asking her to the movies? It was hard to believe.
Besides, she and Bernard were just in an employment relationship. How could he possibly spend any effort on this contract wife?
