Chapter 729 She Got Away
Fiona furrowed her brows and looked cautiously at Katherine. "Katherine, are you suspecting that her husband is..."
Katherine had a suspicion, but it seemed illogical.
How could it be Alex?
Even if Sophia had detained Alex back then and avoided their search, why would Alex willingly stay by Sophia's side and have a child with her?"Forget it, I don't even know what I'm suspecting. She said her husband's last name is Turner; maybe we're overthinking it."
Katherine still didn't know that she had given birth to three children at that time. Everyone was afraid she would be too shocked, so they agreed not to tell her.
But Fiona knew. She instinctively suspected that the child Sophia was holding was the first baby Katherine had given birth to.
Fiona said warily, "I need to find out who her husband really is!"

"Ms. Melville, what brings you here? Do you need something?" She adjusted her gold-rimmed glasses and asked.
Fiona stood up and nodded solemnly. "Yes! There's a situation!"
Ambrosia instinctively thought it was about Katherine and furrowed her brows as she led Fiona into the office. "Have a seat. What situation were you talking about, Ms. Melville?"
Fiona didn't even sit down before saying, "I went out with Katherine and the kids today. Katherine said she saw Sophia at the kindergarten gate!"
Hearing Sophia's name, Ambrosia's expression paused, and then she raised an eyebrow. "Did she do something to our Katherine?"
Fiona shook her head. "No! She didn't do anything for now! Katherine said she was holding a child and mentioned she was married, and her husband's last name is Turner! Ms. Hawthorne, haven't you been monitoring Sophia's every move all these years? Did you find out she got married? Who is her husband? When did she have that child?"
Ambrosia furrowed her brows. "She has a child? We have been monitoring her and Summit Innovations Group, but we haven't found anything unusual. Brent is very good at counter-surveillance. Also, Sophia has been traveling to various cities on their private jet. They even have their own airport."
Fiona said, "See! I knew your monitoring wasn't thorough enough! Our people haven't found anything unusual at Summit Innovations Group either, and there's been no word about Sophia getting married or having a child! It's very strange that she's deliberately hiding her marriage and child. A normal woman would want the whole world to know if she got married, to share her happiness! But Sophia is hiding it so well! There's definitely something off!"
Ambrosia was more cautious. "If she really wanted to hide it, why would she bring the child back to the country this time? And be so easily spotted by Katherine? It's very contradictory, isn't it?"
Fiona said, "How would I know? I came to you to ask you to investigate why Sophia returned to the country this time! And also check out her husband and child, get some photos and detailed information if possible! I don't want to alarm my grandparents for now; they can't handle much stress!"
Ambrosia nodded. "Don't worry. I'll definitely have someone look into it and notify you if there's any news."
Fiona said uneasily, "If it's bad news, it's best not to tell Katherine! I suspect the child Sophia is holding is the first child Katherine gave birth to, but Katherine still doesn't know she gave birth to three children that day. If we can't find that child, I hope Katherine never finds out."
Ambrosia adjusted her gold-rimmed glasses. "Don't worry; we care about Katherine's feelings even more than you do."
Fiona felt a bit relieved. "Alright, then please have someone investigate as soon as possible. Now that Sophia is in the country, we need to control the situation. Once she flies back to Markovia, it will be harder to handle."
Ambrosia nodded. "I understand."
After entrusting Ambrosia, Fiona turned to leave, ready to go home.
