Chapter 741 Discard Him

Billy opened the stall door and saw Charles with wet hands and a twisted, scrunched-up face.

Julian looked guilty and said, "I'm sorry! I-I didn't mean to! I accidentally tripped Charles, and he fell, pressing both hands into the toilet."

Kids really couldn't be left alone for a second!

Seeing Charles holding up his hands in disgust, Billy felt a bit helpless and comforted him, "It's okay! Just wash your hands and they'll be clean! Come on, I'll take you to the sink to wash up!"

Charles, who loved cleanliness, felt uncomfortable with his hands in toilet water. He nodded and quickly followed Billy to wash his hands.

After Billy helped Charles wash his hands, he turned around and saw that Julian was already gone!

Billy's brow furrowed, sensing something was wrong.

Meanwhile, in another room, George was being held by Sophia.

George didn't like being held by Sophia at all. His face showed clear rejection as he struggled stubbornly. "I want to get down!"

Sophia held him tighter and lectured, "Julian, stop it. Your Dad and I are here for important business today, so you need to behave!"

Although Sophia spoke gently, George still found her very annoying.

"I don't want to be held; it's hot!"

Sophia frowned in displeasure. "Hot? The central air conditioning is on! You're just making things up!"

George's thick eyebrows showed his disdain. "I just feel hot. I don't want to be held. Let me go!"

Sophia was getting impatient with George, "Julian! Can you..."

"He doesn't want to be held, so let him down and let him sit wherever he wants."

Trevor, who was sitting in a wheelchair, spoke in a calm tone.

Sophia's face stiffened, but she didn't say anything and reluctantly let go of the child.

Originally, she just wanted to appear as a good and loving wife in front of Trevor and didn't really want to hold the rascal!

But who would have thought that as soon as George was let go, he would toddle over to Trevor, raising his little arms, "Daddy, pick me up!"

Trevor didn't hesitate; he reached out, picked him up, and placed him on his unfeeling legs, holding him gently.

Seeing this, Sophia's face turned sour, and she forced a smile. "Julian! Didn't you say it was hot? It's hot when I hold you, but not when Dad does?"

George looked up and glared at the woman he didn't like. "You're not my mommy!"

"Julian, you really need to behave!" Sophia's smile had faded, and her face was now serious. "Trevor, could you please talk to Julian about his behavior? He used to just refuse to call me mommy, but now he outright denies I'm his mommy! Do you know how much it hurts me after all I've done to give birth to and raise him?"

Trevor glanced at the aggrieved Sophia, with no trace of pity in his eyes, "If you respected his feelings more often, he would naturally be willing to call you that."

Sophia looked hurt, "Trevor, how could you say that about me? As a mother, I can't just spoil him; I have to discipline him, right? Julian acts so sweet and well-behaved around you, but he can be quite a handful with me. How can I not discipline him?"

Trevor's brow furrowed with irritation, "Enough! We're here for business today. Whatever issues you have, we can discuss them at home. Don't take it out on the child now; you'll scare him."

In Trevor's eyes, Sophia felt no concern or affection, which made her very upset and deeply resentful. But she also knew that this was an auction house, not a place to throw a tantrum, lest it affect the land auction price!

So, she had to hold it in and planned to have a good talk with them at home!

But she couldn't digest her emotions right away, so she stood up and said, "You watch Julian, I'll go to the restroom!"

With that, Sophia walked out, clearly upset.

She wouldn't take this kind of treatment from anyone else, but in front of Trevor and Julian, she had no say at all! It was so frustrating!

After Sophia left, Trevor looked down at the child in his arms, his brow furrowed with curiosity, and asked, "Why did you say that just now?"

George didn't think he had done anything wrong; he just didn't like Sophia and hated her touching him!

He spoke honestly, "Because I don't like her holding me!"

Trevor's brow furrowed deeper, "No matter what, she is your mother. You can't talk to her like that; you need to respect her."

George knew he should respect and care for his mother, but that annoying woman wasn't his mommy!

He really didn't want to respect her; just seeing her made him feel disgusted and hateful!

But he could only nod now, or this handsome man would find out he wasn't Julian!

"I understand."

Trevor looked at the child in his arms and sighed slightly, the curiosity in his furrowed brow never easing.

The kid had been different since he came back yesterday.

After leaving the room, Sophia walked angrily towards the restroom.

She had been feeling so wronged with no one to confide in. For the past three years, she had put in both labor and time to take care of Julian, but Julian refused to acknowledge her and was getting more and more hostile!

If she complained to her Dad, he would be furious and would likely take it out on Trevor again to defend her honor.

So she didn't dare to tell Brent, only saying that she was doing well and that Trevor and Julian treated her well.

Otherwise, she really feared a repeat of what happened three years ago, with Brent beating Trevor senseless, and no one could stop him!

Trevor was already in a wheelchair and couldn't get up. If he took another beating from Brent, he would be completely crippled.

She could only endure it, hoping to warm Trevor's heart eventually!

As for that ungrateful kid, she would deal with him once Trevor fell for her!

Just as she was thinking about how troublesome Julian was, Sophia wasn't watching where she was going and suddenly bumped into someone and fell!

Wearing high heels, she twisted her ankle in the fall!

She cried out in pain. "Who is it? Watch where you're going!"

The other person also fell, sitting on the ground with a pout, and started crying.

Sophia got even angrier hearing the crying!

She hadn't cried yet, and the one who bumped into her was crying first?
