Scarlett shook her head in denial, "I'm not a family member, but I know the deceased. Can I go with you to pay my respects?"
The nurse said, "Of course, you can if you are a friend of the deceased. But we need to move her to the morgue now; she can't occupy the emergency room and affect the other patients in need of treatment. Do you want to come with us to the morgue? But as a young woman, you might be scared of that place. Why not wait until the family holds a funeral to pay your respects?"
Scarlett insisted, shaking her head, "It's okay, I'm not afraid! The deceased was really important to me, and I want to spend this last moment with her, if that's alright?"
Seeing Scarlett's sincere and brave expression, the nurse felt moved. Thinking she was a good friend of the deceased, the nurse couldn't bear to refuse, "Alright, if you're not afraid, come with us!"
Then, the emergency room door opened wide, and several nurses pushed Katherine's body out. Scarlett followed them to the morgue.

Scarlett nodded in understanding, then reassured her, "Don't worry, I'll be fine."
The nurse added, "And don't lift the sheet covering the deceased. Since she died in a car accident, her appearance is quite gruesome, and most people can't handle it. Just stay by her side and wait until the mortician has cleaned her up to see her."
Scarlett secretly laughed deep down inside but put on a sorrowful expression and nodded, "Okay, I understand."
Then, the nurses left the morgue together, leaving Scarlett alone.
As soon as they left, Scarlett lifted the sheet covering Katherine's face, revealing a bloody, mangled face that indeed made one feel nauseous.
However, Scarlett suddenly burst into laughter,
