Chapter 693 I'm Not Looking for You!

Teresa put on a fake sympathetic face and said, "Sunny, if you're really Ms. Hawthorne's boyfriend, you're in a tough spot right now."

Sunny was so jealous that he ignored Teresa completely and stormed out of the car in a huff.

The driver called after him, "Mr. Mitchell, why'd you get out? You still need to get to school!"

But Sunny couldn't care less about school. If he didn't make his presence known, Ambrosia might just run off with someone else.

He rushed over to Ambrosia and shoved the guy next to her aside, demanding, "Who is he? What were you two doing?"

Ambrosia paused for a second when she saw Sunny, then her face turned a bit annoyed. "What are you doing here?"

Sunny, still fuming, shot back, "If I didn't come, what would you be doing with this guy?"

Ambrosia adjusted her gold-rimmed glasses, looking a bit exasperated.

The guy who got pushed aside saw how young Sunny was, so he didn't take it to heart. He looked at Ambrosia with a mix of elegance and curiosity. "Ambrosia, who is this boy?"

Ambrosia gave an apologetic smile. "Sorry, he's a friend's younger brother. He might need something from me. Today isn't a good time. Let's reschedule."

The guy smiled graciously at Ambrosia. "Alright, I'll wait for your call then."

Ambrosia nodded and waved him off.

The guy looked at Ambrosia with a restrained yet deep affection. As he left, he glanced at Sunny, seemingly understanding Sunny's intentions but not taking them seriously.

Watching the guy drive away, Sunny, still boiling with anger, said, "Reschedule? What are you planning to do with him?"

Ambrosia gave him a nonchalant look. "Just meeting a friend for a meal. What's the big deal?"

Sunny retorted, "Friend? Do friends need to hug and kiss like that?"

Ambrosia looked at him with disdain. "Sunny, do you even know what a cheek kiss is?"

Sunny crossed his arms stubbornly. "I don't care. Anyway, I won't let you meet him again. He clearly has bad intentions."

Ambrosia found Sunny's controlling behavior childish and unreasonable. "So what if he does? If he behaves well, I might consider his intentions."

Sunny was furious upon hearing this. "You actually want to cheat? Ambrosia, you have me. Why are you looking at other guys? Are you trying to drive me nuts?"

Ambrosia, getting impatient, had a meeting at the company soon and didn't want to waste time arguing over this. She turned to the Mitchell family's car and said, "Aren't you going to take care of him?"

The driver, embarrassed, quickly got out. "Mr. Mitchell, let's go. We're running out of time. I'll take you to school, or you'll be late again."

Sunny didn't want to leave but was forcibly dragged into the car by the driver.

As the car drove away, Ambrosia rubbed her temples, feeling quite helpless.

"Ms. Hawthorne, it seems Sunny really likes you," Teresa said, walking up to Ambrosia with a sigh.

Ambrosia snapped out of her thoughts, glanced at Teresa, and without responding, walked into the company.

Teresa followed Ambrosia into the Crescent Group building and into the elevator.

Once they were alone, Teresa couldn't help but ask, "Ms. Hawthorne, do you like Sunny?"

Ambrosia's face remained neutral. "What do you think?"

Teresa thought for a moment. "I think at least you don't dislike him. Otherwise, with your personality, you wouldn't bother with him. But honestly, I think you'd be better off with someone more mature, not someone as childish as Sunny."

Ambrosia gave a faint smile but didn't comment on Teresa's observation. Instead, she asked, "Are you here to see Frank this early?"

At the mention of Frank, Teresa's expression turned a bit awkward, and she shook her head. "No, I'm here to see Anthony."

The elevator doors opened.

Ambrosia stepped out and said, "Alright, go ahead."

Teresa felt a bit disappointed that she didn't get any real answers.

Ambrosia always had this distant vibe, not exactly cold, but just out of reach. She responded with a faint smile, as if she had answered, but in reality, she hadn't said anything.

Teresa actually admired Ambrosia's strong, independent nature. It seemed like Ambrosia had everything under control and didn't let anything bother her, unlike herself, who was so indecisive.

Walking in the opposite direction of Ambrosia, Teresa arrived at Anthony's workstation.

Seeing Anthony busy typing on his computer, she took a deep breath and walked over. "Anthony."

Hearing Teresa's voice, Anthony turned around with a surprised expression, and then his face darkened. "What are you doing here?"

Teresa walked up to him. "Yesterday, because of the special circumstances, I couldn't explain clearly over the phone, so I came to explain in person."

Anthony turned back to his computer, checking the data in his files without looking at Teresa again. His tone was not pleasant. "I don't have time right now. I have to speak at the meeting on behalf of our team. You should go back."

"It's okay, you go ahead. I'll wait for you in the cafeteria."

Teresa knew Anthony was angry. Before this, Anthony would never have treated her so coldly.

Yesterday's incident was her fault, so she needed to show her sincerity in apologizing.

Not wanting to disturb Anthony's work, Teresa turned to leave for the cafeteria. Yet just as she turned, she bumped into someone in a finely dressed suit and smelled a faint, sophisticated men's cologne.

She was very familiar with this scent. It was Frank's.

She looked up and saw Frank's charming face with a warm smile. "Here to see me this early?"

Teresa frowned, feeling he was doing it on purpose. He clearly knew she wasn't there to see him. "Mr. Perez, I'm not..."

Frank interrupted her and patted her head. "You only slept at dawn. Why didn't you sleep a bit longer? Why are you up so early?"

Hearing their conversation, Anthony picked up a file while standing up, then he nodded to Frank and walked away.

Anthony knew he couldn't afford to offend his boss, but he could always avoid him.

Seeing Anthony walk away, Teresa knew he might have misunderstood again. She angrily questioned Frank, "Why do you say such ambiguous things? You know I wasn't here to see you."
