Chapter 772 You Are Not George
Valentin looked at Jonathan in admiration, "Wow, going straight for the family package, huh? You're braver than I thought!"
Jonathan ignored his friend's teasing and stood up, "I'm leaving!"
Valentin said, "Leaving already? Didn't you say you'd wait for me to finish up and have a few drinks?"
Jonathan turned and waved without looking back, "No more drinks! I'm off to find my true love."
Valentin watched Jonathan's figure disappear into the distance, shaking his head with a smile.
When Katherine quickly came downstairs, Julian was obediently sitting on the living room sofa drinking a Coke, with Teresa beside him trying to talk to him, though he wasn't very responsive.
It wasn't until he saw Katherine coming downstairs that his eyes lit up, "Mommy, can we go home now?"
Teresa looked at Katherine, a bit puzzled, "Katherine, why did you come down so quickly? Have you already finished talking with Dr. Valentin?"
Katherine didn't respond to Teresa's question. She walked over and picked up Julian, saying, "Teresa, I have something to do with George. You can go home by yourself later!"
Without waiting for a response, she carried Julian out of the villa.
"Katherine, you don't have a car."
Teresa realized and was about to chase after her. Katherine and Julian had come in her car this morning, and there were no taxis around here!
"I'll take her."
Suddenly, someone said from behind.
Teresa was genuinely surprised and stopped in her tracks. She turned to look and said, "Jonathan, what are you doing here?"
Jonathan smiled warmly, "I'm friends with Valentin. Didn't he tell you?"
Teresa shook her head; she really hadn't heard that before.
Valentin was her psychologist, and usually, when she confided in Valentin, he wouldn't talk about his own affairs.
Jonathan stepped forward, calmly and kindly saying, "I happened to have something to discuss with Katherine today, so I'll take Katherine and George home! Teresa, don't worry, Valentin is still waiting for you in the consultation room!"
While Teresa was still hesitating, Jonathan had already followed Katherine out.
Everyone could see Jonathan's feelings for Katherine.
If Alex really never came back, then Katherine marrying Jonathan might be a good thing for her and her children.
Thinking of this, Teresa didn't follow them but turned and went upstairs to find Valentin.
Valentin was sitting in his office sipping coffee. He thought everyone had left, but Teresa was still at his house.
Seeing Teresa walk into the office with a look of righteous indignation, he felt somewhat helpless.
Teresa sat down, a bit dissatisfied, crossing her arms, "Valentin, what did you talk about with my aunt just now? Why did she leave in such a hurry with the child?"
Valentin raised his eyebrows with a bit of helplessness, "I'm not quite sure what's up with your aunt, but she just thanked me for my reminder. I don't even know what I reminded her of."
Teresa was even more puzzled, "Does George really have psychological problems?"
Valentin took a sip of coffee, "No, the child is fine, just a bit shy."
Shy? Teresa found it hard to believe. Although she didn't see George every day, she hadn't noticed that the child was shy in all these years!
Seeing her confused expression, Valentin said, "Don't worry about others. How about you? How have you been lately?"
Teresa came to her senses and shrugged, "Same as always!"
Valentin asked, "How's your sleep? Any better?"
Teresa sighed, "Not really! I usually can't fall asleep until the middle of the night, and I often have nightmares. I feel exhausted even after waking up."
Valentin put down his coffee cup, his expression becoming more serious, "If this continues, you might really need medication."
Katherine was walking around the neighborhood with Julian, unable to find a taxi.
This was a high-end affluent area, and it was rare for anyone to need a taxi, so taxis wouldn't come here to pick up passengers.
Holding the child for so long, her arms were getting sore.
Since she couldn't get a taxi for now, she decided to find a place to have a good talk with the child.
Seeing a flower bed in the greenbelt ahead, Katherine walked over and put the child down, sitting on the edge of the flower bed herself.
Julian looked puzzled, blinking at her, "Mommy, aren't we going home?"
Katherine carefully examined the child in front of her, squinting her eyes, and cupped Julian's face in her hands. She really couldn't see any difference.
Julian frowned uneasily, "Mommy, what's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?"
Katherine's eyes darkened, and she said, "You're not George, are you?"
Julian was stunned, his eyes immediately filled with guilt, "I..."
From his eyes, Katherine already knew the answer, "Was it that day when you were flying kites, and I mistakenly took you home?"
Julian nodded honestly.
Katherine looked deeply at her son, who had been missing for three years and had coincidentally returned to her side. Her voice trembled slightly as she asked, "Since I took you by mistake, why didn't you say anything?"
Julian lowered his head, "I just wanted to stay with you for a few more days before going back."
Katherine felt a pang in her heart, "Why do you want to stay with me for a few more days? You hadn't met me before."
Julian nervously tugged at his clothes with his small hands, "I don't know why, I just feel that you smell nice, and being around you feels comfortable and relaxing."
Katherine remained silent, but her eyes turned slightly red.
Julian asked dejectedly, "Aunt Katherine, are you going to send me back to my daddy now and get your own son back?"
Hearing him call her Aunt Katherine, Katherine felt even more heartbroken. It turned out that the child really didn't know she was his biological mother.
"Do you want to stay with me because you're unhappy with your dad?"
Julian shook his head, "Not really unhappy. Daddy loves me very much and spends time with me every day. But I don't like the woman around him. She always has various reasons to keep us from going out, trapping us at home."
Katherine frowned. She naturally knew who the woman was; it was Sophia.
"Does she treat you badly?"
Julian nodded and then shook his head, his expression complicated, not knowing how to describe whether Sophia was good or bad.
"She says she's my mommy and takes good care of me and Daddy, but she always restricts our freedom, not letting us interact with people outside, especially Daddy!"
