Chapter 733 Wear His Mask
Sitting on the ground with three kids, they ate the desserts and sandwiches Sandra had packed for them.
Nathan and Fiona stood a bit farther away, chatting. They had just started dating and were a bit shy.
Charles had salad dressing on his mouth from eating the sandwich. Katherine took a napkin and wiped his mouth, saying, "Eat slowly, don't choke."
Charles obediently nodded.
Next to him, George was staring at the robot kite in the sky. When the kite drifted in another direction, he hurriedly stuffed the remaining half of his sandwich into his mouth, stood up, and said, "Mommy, I'm full! I'm going over there to find Aunt Fiona!"
Katherine turned to George. "Run slowly; be careful not to fall!"
George responded and ran over to Fiona to look at the kite.
Katherine watched until George reached Fiona and felt relieved. She took the water bottle and gave Edith some water, worried she might choke.
Charles and Edith were very well-behaved, quietly staying by her side and eating.
Katherine occasionally glanced over at Fiona, keeping an eye on George.
At first, George stuck close to Fiona, watching the kite without running around.
But when she looked over again, she found that George was nowhere to be seen!
Katherine's pupils shrank instantly, and she stood up, looking around for him.
"Fiona, where's George?"
Hearing Katherine's voice, Fiona, who was engrossed in a conversation with her crush, was stunned and started looking around, her face showing concern. "Where's George? He was just here watching the kite."
Katherine looked up at the robot kite, which was flying much lower, likely being reeled in, and had a hunch. She said, "Fiona, Nathan, you two keep an eye on Charles and Edith. I'm going to find George!"
Fiona anxiously furrowed her brows and shouted at Katherine, who had already run off, "Katherine, where are you going to find George?"
Without looking back, Katherine called out, "I think I know where he went! Just keep an eye on Charles and Edith!"
Fiona sat restlessly, and Nathan gently patted her shoulder. "Don't worry; Katherine probably knows what she's doing and will find George. Let's go over and stay with Charles and Edith; we can't lose another one."
"Okay."
At that moment, a robot kite had fallen on an open lawn across a small grove.
Julian, wearing a robot mask, ran over to pick up the kite, carefully dusting off the dirt. Then he turned to go back to find his dad.
However, George, who was almost the same height as him, blocked his way.
George blinked his big eyes and arrogantly asked, "Hey, where did you buy your robot kite?"
Julian thought this impolite boy looked familiar but couldn't remember where he had seen him before.
He remembered his dad often warned him not to talk to strangers, so he ignored George, holding his kite and coldly walking around him.
George, not getting the answer he wanted, was a bit upset and chased after Julian, blocking his way again. "Why are you ignoring me? I'm asking you a question!"
Julian was blocked again. "Dad said not to talk to strangers or answer their questions."
George disagreed, puffing up his cheeks. "That's not right! My mommy says to be polite and helpful!"
Julian coldly said from behind his mask, "You're not very polite either, shouting when asking questions!"
George realized his mistake and furrowed his brows. "Alright, let me ask you again nicely! Where did you buy your robot kite?"
Hearing George's change in tone, Julian felt a bit of warmth and softened, answering, "At the Robot Toy Store in Markovia."
George silently noted this, planning to tell his mommy later, and asked, "Did you also buy your robot mask there?"
Julian nodded. "Yes, also there!"
George thought for a moment, realizing it would take a long time for his mommy to send someone to Markovia to buy it. So he had a bright idea and asked, "Can you sell me your kite and mask first, and then buy new ones when you go to Markovia?"
Julian frowned behind his mask, feeling that George was being a bit too much.
Not wanting to deal with him, he walked away.
But George grabbed his clothes. "If you don't want to sell them to me, can I at least try on your mask for a bit? Just for a moment. I really like robots."
For some reason, seeing George tugging at the corner of his shirt, Julian found it hard to refuse.
He thought for a moment and nodded. "Alright! But just for a little while, then you have to give it back!"
George put on a serious face. "Okay, thank you!"
Julian put down his kite and took off his robot mask, handing it to George.
George eagerly took the mask and put it on, his face lighting up with excitement.
He was so thrilled that he didn't even notice what Julian looked like without the mask!
"George!"
Hearing his mommy calling him, George was stunned and looked over.
Through the eye holes of the mask, he saw his mommy running over anxiously, and he felt a bit guilty, thinking he was going to get scolded again!
"Did you wander off alone again?" Katherine, with a worried face, hurried over to Julian and hugged him. "What did I tell you about staying close? You scared me!"
Julian, inexplicably hugged by a stranger, was a bit stunned.
He stared blankly at Katherine, who had picked him up.
She was so beautiful, smelled nice, and was so warm.
Meanwhile, George stood there, dumbfounded, watching his mommy scold and walk away with Julian.
Mommy mistook him for someone else!
Did they look alike? How could Mommy mistake them?
"Julian, why are you taking so long to pick up the kite? Come on, we need to go home!"
Suddenly, a strange woman appeared in front of George, speaking to him impatiently.
George instinctively felt wary and tried to walk around the woman to chase after his mommy.
Sophia saw him trying to run and immediately grabbed him. "Where are you trying to run off to again? Your daddy is still waiting for us over there!"
