Chapter 47 is not the first time
Katherine opened the speakerphone, and the serious voice of the police officer from the other end of the line could still be heard: "Katherine, someone found your wallet and phone this afternoon, and they used your identity to check into a hotel. You can come to the police station now to verify your lost items and see if there are any other losses."
Katherine politely replied, "Alright, I understand. Thank you."
"You're welcome."
Katherine hung up the phone and calmly looked at Fiona. "Is losing things considered a scandal, Fiona? What do you think the police want with me?"
Fiona was stunned and couldn't speak for a moment.
She thought, 'Why is this situation different from what I planned? The police are looking for Katherine just because she lost something!'
"Katherine, I'm relieved that you're okay! You really scared me just now!" Sandra let out a sigh of relief.
Then, she turned her head and looked at her troublemaking granddaughter, saying, "Fiona, why have you been so tense lately? Don't casually talk about things without any basis in the future!"
Fiona accused Katherine unwillingly, "Grandma, I'm not just guessing. Even Leander found Katherine's hotel check-in records for today! And the woman in the news video is clearly her; otherwise, why would she be wearing the same clothes as that woman?"
Katherine was indeed wearing the same clothes as the woman in the video, but she calmly said, "My clothes are not limited edition. Many people can wear them. But why do you insist that the woman in the video is me?"
Fiona snorted disdainfully, "You must have done it! There's a record of you staying at the hotel, and you're wearing clothes similar to a prostitute's. How can such a coincidence happen in the world? How do you explain that?"
Katherine felt helpless. "The police already made it clear on the phone just now. Someone used my identity information to book a room at the hotel. And while I was shopping with you in the afternoon, I accidentally lost my wallet and phone. I couldn't reach you, so I had to come back alone."
Fiona said, "Katherine, you're lying!"
Sandra believed Katherine's explanation, but Fiona couldn't be deceived! This afternoon, she personally brought Katherine to the hotel with Gavin. How could it be, as Katherine said?
Katherine asked, "Are you so sure that I went to that hotel? Did you see it with your own eyes? Did you also go to that hotel today?"
Fiona became flustered when Katherine asked that question. "Why would I go to that hotel? I didn't go!"
She did see it with her own eyes, but she couldn't say it. If she did, she would be exposed!
Sandra walked over and said, "Katherine, Fiona has been spoiled by me since she was young, and she has a stubborn temper! Don't argue with her. I will punish her properly!"
One is her beloved daughter-in-law, and the other is her granddaughter, who has been spoiled since childhood. Sandra couldn't bear to blame Fiona too much, so she angrily patted her head and said, "Fiona, you were wrong in this matter. Apologize to Katherine right away!"
Fiona, of course, was unwilling to apologize, but the current situation was beyond her plan, and she was a bit flustered.
Fiona didn't have solid evidence to prove Katherine's wrongdoing, so she could only reluctantly say, "Alright, I made a mistake today. I apologize to you."
Katherine looked at her indifferently and said, "I don't accept such forced apologies."

Fiona said discontentedly, "I don't want to acknowledge her as my sister-in-law! She is a scheming and despicable person! She even deludes herself into thinking she can change her fate by getting close to my brother!"
"You stop it! Don't talk nonsense anymore!" Sandra was so angry that she wanted to slap Fiona, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. After all, Fiona was her granddaughter, whom she had personally spoiled and raised!
Fiona, of course, also knew that Sandra couldn't bear to hit her, so she became even more arrogant and pointed at Katherine, cursing, "I'm speaking the truth! She is just a country bumpkin!"
Sandra was so angry that she couldn't speak. "You!"
Katherine was worried that Sandra would get sick from anger, so she walked over and gently patted her back. "Grandma, don't be angry. I won't argue with her, but I won't forgive her either."
"Katherine, please, for my sake..." Sandra tried to mediate between the two.
Katherine's tone was firm. "Grandma, this is not the first time. Last time, she falsely accused me when she took you to the gallery, and now she's calling me a prostitute and saying some nasty things. I can't forgive someone who repeatedly accuses and insults me without sincerely apologizing."
Sandra sighed helplessly. She understood Katherine's feelings, of course. Anyone would be angry if they were insulted. Fiona had indeed gone too far in these two incidents!

The butlers and servants were somewhat surprised. Alexander rarely treated Fiona so harshly, but today, because of the newly arrived Mrs. Melville, he was very displeased with Fiona.
Fiona was taken aback and looked at Alexander in disbelief. "Brother, are you not on my side either? You must have been influenced by Katherine!"
Alexander's gaze was calm and stern, his tone serious. "You have defamed her innocence and should apologize."
Katherine glanced at Alexander, feeling a little moved.
Alexander was fair, not siding with his sister.
Fiona unwillingly said, "Brother, I didn't..."
Alexander coldly interrupted, "Apologize!"
Fiona feared Alexander more than she feared Sandra. She dared to be willful with Sandra, but she wouldn't dare disobey Alexander.
She could only apologize to Katherine, "I'm sorry."
Katherine just glanced at her without responding, then turned to Sandra and said lightly, "Grandma, I'm going to the police station now to retrieve my lost items. Please go ahead and have dinner without waiting for me."
Feeling guilty towards her daughter-in-law because of her spoiled granddaughter, Sandra also didn't want her to go to the police station alone. "Katherine, I'll go with you!"
Katherine thought for a moment. "Alright, let's pick up the things and have a meal outside. I'll treat you to a big meal!"
Sandra smiled kindly. "Katherine, I should be the one treating you to a meal!"
They walked out together, creating a harmonious atmosphere.
Fiona's apology was ignored, and she said angrily, "Brother, she doesn't even acknowledge my apology!"
"You're not allowed to have dinner tonight. Think about where you went wrong!" Alexander glanced at her coldly and then caught up with Sandra and Katherine, leaving together.
Fiona saw that her grandmother and brother were all siding with Katherine, and she felt an intense desire to kill Katherine!
No! She had to go to the police station to find out the truth.
How could it be that simple for Katherine to just lose her things?
In the afternoon, she clearly saw Gavin knock out Katherine and take her to the hotel, where she had a sexual encounter with the tattooed man.
How did Katherine manage to come back first?
There must be something wrong somewhere! She had to find out the problem and then seek revenge on Katherine!
