Chapter 910 Packing Up

"Claire, don't worry! Even if the Mitchell family finds out you're here, I won't let them in!"

Nora kept comforting Claire.

Claire tightly held Nora's hand, "Then help me get discharged, please."

Nora said, "Claire, in your current condition, it's really not suitable to be discharged. It's too late today, wait until tomorrow! Tomorrow I'll have Brent help you transfer to another hospital, okay?"

Claire nodded with red eyes, "Okay, thank you for arranging this. I really appreciate Brent's help."

Seeing that Claire finally showed signs of calming down, Nora breathed a sigh of relief, "It's no trouble at all! Claire, you need to stay calm so your injuries can heal faster."

Claire weakly lay down, staring at the hospital room ceiling, and said no more.

Ambrosia returned to the upscale ward upstairs but didn't go in. She just sat on the waiting chair at the door, lost in thought.

Sunny noticed that Ambrosia hadn't returned after saying she was going to the restroom, so he came out to check. As soon as he stepped out, he saw Ambrosia sitting at the door and walked over to ask, "Ambrosia, what are you doing sitting here? Why don't you go in?"

Ambrosia snapped out of her thoughts and looked up at him, "Your father needs to rest, so I don't want to disturb him."

Sunny smiled. "Ambrosia, you're so considerate, really caring about your future father-in-law!"

Ambrosia rolled her eyes at him and stood up, "I should go!"

Sunny grabbed her wrist, "Wait, I'll walk you out!"

Ambrosia said, "You should stay here with your father. I can drive myself home."

Sunny, though reluctant, agreed, "Ambrosia, come with me for a moment before you go!"

Before Ambrosia could decide whether to agree, Sunny pulled her by the wrist towards the stairwell.

As soon as they entered the stairwell, he pressed her against the wall and kissed her deeply.

After a long, deep kiss, Ambrosia adjusted her glasses, which had been knocked askew, "Is that enough?"

Of course, it wasn't enough. Sunny looked at her, slightly out of breath, "Not enough! But I won't cling to you today. Ambrosia, drive home carefully and let me know when you get there!"

Ambrosia turned her face away, unwilling to meet his lingering gaze, "Okay."

She pushed him away, straightened up, and walked out of the stairwell with a light step.

Sunny touched his slightly damp lips, his eyes full of tenderness. He followed her out and returned to Edwin's ward.

Sophia had originally booked three tickets for the day after tomorrow for her, Trevor, and Julian to return to Markovia, but she was suddenly restricted from leaving the country, so she couldn't go.

Trevor said he would take Julian back to Markovia first and wait for her there. After some consideration, Sophia agreed, so she canceled her ticket and kept Trevor's and Julian's.

With an early flight the day after tomorrow, she helped them pack their luggage in advance.

Trevor was in a good mood today and ended up eating a little more than usual at dinner. Afterward, he was teaching Julian to play chess.

After packing, Sophia came out to find Trevor still in the living room playing chess with Julian.

"Trevor, it's getting late. You two should stop and go to bed early! You'll have a hard time sleeping on the plane the day after tomorrow, so you need to rest well these two days."

Trevor looked up at Sophia, "Is the luggage all packed?"

Sophia nodded, "All packed! I put everything you and Julian brought in the suitcase! I'll have Dad send someone to take you to the airport, and there will be servants from home to pick you up in Markovia."

Trevor's expression didn't change, and he nodded slightly.

He knew Sophia wouldn't trust him to travel alone with the child and would definitely have someone watch him, restricting his freedom.

"Julian, let's go! Time for bed!" Trevor gently tapped Julian, who was still focused on the chessboard.

Julian hadn't figured out how to turn the game around and was upset when Sophia interrupted his thoughts. He glared at Sophia before following Trevor to the room.

Sophia saw Julian glaring at her but didn't care. Now was not the time to worry about that brat!

Her main concern was that the investigation here wouldn't end soon, and she didn't know how long she would be stuck.

After seeing them off to their room, Sophia headed to Brent's room to check on the progress.

Inside the room, Julian watched through the crack in the door as Sophia walked away. He pouted slightly in frustration before turning to Trevor and asking, "Dad, are we really going back to Markovia? If we go back, will we ever come back here again? If not, does that mean I'll never see Katherine again?"

Trevor gently patted his son's head and said meaningfully, "You'll see her again."

In Brent's room, she knocked before entering.

Brent was back and eating dinner alone.

Seeing Brent eating alone, Sophia felt a bit sad, "Dad, you're just having dinner now? If I knew you were back, I would have called you when I finished cooking!"

Brent glanced at Sophia, "Save your cooking for your dear husband and child!"

Sophia, feeling helpless, sat down, "Dad, don't be like that! I hope you can treat Trevor better!"

Brent didn't want to talk about Trevor and asked, "Did you come to see me for something?"

Sophia nodded, "Dad, is there any progress on the company's investigation? When will the restrictions be lifted?"

Brent said, "Hard to say!"

Sophia was anxious, "What do you mean it's hard to say?"

Brent said, "Getting anxious with me won't help. I want the investigation to end soon too."

Sophia frowned, "The day after tomorrow, I'm sending Trevor and Julian back to Markovia. I'll stay here to cooperate with the investigation. Dad, please send some people to escort them, just in case."

Brent said unhappily, "Escort? What are they, celebrities needing a security detail?"

Sophia knew Brent didn't like Trevor, but she had no choice, "Dad, please don't say that! I just need a few of your men. You won't refuse, will you?"

Brent cut his steak with a frown, "Sophia, it seems you haven't considered what I told you last time!"

Sophia paused, knowing what Brent was referring to, "Dad, please don't bring that up again! I worked hard to keep Trevor by my side, and I won't let go!"

Brent sighed, "Fine! If there's nothing else, go back to your room. Don't ruin my appetite!"
