Chapter 922 Take a Shower
Sophia's tears streamed down her face, "Yes, Trevor is missing! He didn't enter Markovia!"
Brent furrowed his brow, thought for a moment, and said nothing. He turned and went back into the room, leaving the door open for Sophia.
Seeing no response from Brent, Sophia quickly followed him inside. "Dad! Dad, say something! I'm so anxious!"
Brent picked up a glass of water in the suite, drank it slowly, and said, "Say what?"
Sophia stomped her foot in frustration, "Help me contact the men you sent to escort Trevor!"
Brent looked up at his stubborn daughter, picked up his phone, dialed his subordinate's number, and put it on speaker before setting it aside.
Sophia then heard the notification that the call couldn't be connected, and the system automatically hung up.
Sophia's hope was completely shattered. "How could this be? Dad, please, please send someone to find Alex for me! I'm begging you."
Brent seemed to have anticipated that the call wouldn't go through. He showed no surprise, took a sip of water, and then said, "Don't you understand? He wanted to leave you a long time ago. Even if you find him now, it won't matter!"
Sophia wiped her tears with her arm and insisted, "It matters, it definitely matters! Dad, help me find him, and I'll figure out the rest myself!"
Brent slammed the glass on the table, "Enough! How long are you going to stay deluded? Everyone can see that man doesn't care about you! He doesn't even want to touch you. Why do you need a man like that? He ran away, let him go, don't look for him anymore!"
Sophia went crazy, knocking things off the table, "No! No way! I have to find him! He's mine, he's my man! I want to be with him, have children with him, live with him!"
Seeing Sophia so hysterical, Brent was both heartbroken and angry. "But he doesn't want you at all!"
Sophia cried and shouted, "No! It's not like that! Trevor has feelings for me! He has feelings for me! Find him! You must find him!"
Brent said, "Even if you find him, it won't make a difference! Do you think he escaped on his own? Do you think he could successfully escape from my men while in a wheelchair, with a child?"
Sophia was stunned, then realized, "Dad, are you saying... Trevor's legs are actually healed?"
Brent looked at her with dissatisfaction, "He might have been planning to get rid of you for a long time! He's probably already back at the Melville Manor! Listen to me, stay quietly in the hotel, wait for the tax investigation to clear up, and then return to Markovia with me. Don't bother him anymore, and I think Alex might not come after us! But if you don't listen to me, I can't help you, and you'll have to bear the consequences yourself!"
The last thing Sophia wanted to face was Alex returning to the Melville Manor. Even now, she wanted to deceive herself, "No, it's impossible! Trevor doesn't have his past memories, how could he go back to the Melville Manor on his own? It's impossible."
Brent was completely exasperated with Sophia, "Do you think the hypnosis you had done on him would last forever? He might have remembered everything a long time ago and was just pretending in front of you!"
Sophia recalled everything that had happened recently and began to realize the truth.
"Even if his legs are healed, even if he has regained his memory, I still have to find him! I want him to know that I am the one who loves him the most in this world! Not Katherine!"
After saying these almost hysterical words, Sophia got up and ran outside.
Brent called out to her a few times with a frown, but she didn't look back!

In the study, they had been talking for a long time, and Katherine had cleared up all her doubts.
She tried to get up from Alex's embrace but was held tightly.
Alex leaned in, wanting to be intimate.
Katherine turned her face away to avoid him, poking his chest with her finger, "You better go take a shower first!"
Alex squinted his eyes, "Take a shower? What do you want to do to me?"
Katherine rolled her eyes dramatically, "Seriously? Who's trying to do what to whom here? I want you to take a shower because I don't like the smell you picked up from someone else!"
Alex, pretending to be aggrieved, pressed his forehead against hers, "I'm very clean. Even though I forgot about you for a while, I never did anything to betray you. There's no one else's scent on me."
Katherine frowned, "I'm talking about your clothes, the detergent smell on them, it's from someone else! I don't like it!"
Alex paused, looked down at his clothes, and realized they were indeed bought and washed by Sophia. The past few days had been hectic, and he hadn't had time to change.
Thinking of this, he let her go, "Alright, I'll go take a shower and throw these clothes away. From now on, I'll only wear what you give me."
Katherine, though looking disdainful, felt a pang of emotion, "Go on! Grandparents haven't seen you in a long time, they're definitely excited and happy. We need to have a family dinner tonight."
Alex nodded obediently, "Yes, dear."
Katherine thought for a moment and added, "After dinner, get some rest. Tomorrow, you should go back to the company. There's always a lot to do, and I don't want to handle it anymore!"
Alex got up, his rough hand ruffling Katherine's hair, "Alright, I'll do as you say!"
Katherine seemed to have endless things to say, "And, during lunch break tomorrow, I want to take you somewhere. Make sure to free up your time for me!"
Alex was curious, "Where are you taking me?"
"Be patient, you'll find out tomorrow! Now, go take a shower!"
With that, Katherine quickly left the study, afraid that Alex would pull her back for more kisses. She was feeling a bit breathless and really couldn't handle it!
Watching Katherine leave quickly, Alex's eyes were full of tenderness and affection.
Coming downstairs, Katherine found the butler, Anton, and gave him some instructions.
Anton nodded in understanding and immediately went to make arrangements!
Then, as she was heading to the kitchen to give dinner instructions, someone suddenly burst in, causing a commotion!
Then, someone rushed at her and grabbed her!
Katherine was startled, already feeling a bit breathless from Alex, and now she was almost knocked over.
