Chapter 743 Two Sons
Julian stayed by Trevor's side for a while and felt it was about time to go back to Katherine.
He hadn't spent enough time with Katherine yet, so he would come back to see Trevor in a few days!
So, he used the same old trick, looked up at Trevor, and said, "Dad, I need to go to the bathroom!"
Trevor nodded and placed his hand on the wheelchair, saying, "Alright, I'll take you."
Julian shook his head. "No need. I'm grown up now; I know where the bathroom is!"
Trevor raised his hand and patted Julian's head, "Yes, you are grown up. I'm not going to accompany you; I need to go to the bathroom too."
Julian hesitated. "Alright then."
Seeing the two of them about to leave, Sophia quickly stood up. "Trevor, it's inconvenient for you; let me go with you!"
Trevor raised his hand and calmly stopped her. "No need, I can manage. It's a public men's restroom; it's not appropriate for a woman to go in. Besides, you need to keep an eye on the auction."
This reason indeed left Sophia speechless, "Then be careful, and call me if you need anything!"
Trevor nodded and took Julian out of the private room.
The restroom was a bit far from their private room.
Trevor controlled his wheelchair, moving slowly to match Julian's pace, so as not to knock him over.
On the other side of the atrium on the same floor, a woman was hurriedly looking for something.
Trevor glanced over, squinting his eyes, but he could only see a rough outline of the woman from that angle, not her face.
When they reached the restroom, Trevor retracted his gaze, maneuvered his wheelchair to turn, and took Julian inside.
Inside the restroom, Julian was still in a daze; he had just seen Katherine's figure, and she must be looking for him everywhere.
What to do?
How could he slip away from Trevor's attention and go back to Katherine?
Trevor noticed Julian's distraction, "What are you thinking about? Didn't you need to pee?"
Julian snapped back to reality, "Daddy, do you need to use the bathroom too? Should I push you into a stall?"
Trevor waved his hand, "You don't need to worry about me."
Julian was helpless; he had planned to push Trevor into a stall and then sneak away.
But Trevor wouldn't let him help!
Under Trevor's supervision, Julian had no choice but to walk into a stall himself and close the door to pee.
Seeing Julian enter the stall, Trevor relaxed a bit, lowered his head, and took out his phone.
After a while, he heard the sound of a stall door opening.
Had Julian finished so quickly?
Trevor looked up and saw that it wasn't the stall Julian had entered that opened. He naturally assumed it was someone else and was about to look away when he saw a kid who looked exactly like Julian walk out of the stall.
What was going on?
When did Julian switch stalls? Did he do it while Trevor was looking at his phone? Why hadn't he heard any noise?
George had a bit of a stomachache and had been in the stall for a while. After finishing his business, he opened the door and saw Trevor in the restroom.
He was stunned for a moment and naturally assumed Trevor was there to find him. He was about to call out to Trevor.
Suddenly, he heard Katherine's voice from outside!
"George! Where are you? If you don't come out now, you're going to be in big trouble!"
George's back went cold, and he felt a bit scared!
He could tell from Katherine's tone and voice that she was very angry.
Instinctively, without much thought, George retreated back into the stall, quickly closed the door, and locked it! It was so scary!
Seeing Julian retreat into the stall in fear, Trevor frowned again, squinting his eyes in confusion. What was going on with him?
At this moment, the woman's voice came from the restroom door.
"Excuse me, is anyone in here?"
Trevor turned his head to look towards the restroom door but didn't see the woman.
Probably out of respect, Katherine was just standing at the door speaking and didn't poke her head in to look.
Trevor found Katherine's voice somewhat familiar, but 'Julian's' reaction puzzled him more, so he didn't pay much attention to the woman's voice.
Not getting any response, Katherine called out again, "If anyone is in here, please respond! If no one answers in ten seconds, I'll assume no one is inside, and I'll come in to look for someone!"
Since losing his memory, Trevor rarely interacted with the outside world and never reacted to things unrelated to him. Even though he heard Katherine's words, he didn't plan to respond.
"Alright, I'm coming in!" Katherine said and then really walked in.
Katherine entered the men's restroom and saw a man sitting in a wheelchair with his back to the door, and not far in front of him was a urinal.
Instinctively thinking the man was about to use the urinal, she quickly averted her gaze. "Sorry! I called out from outside, but no one responded, so I thought no one was inside! I won't look at you! I'm just here to find my son!"
Trevor frowned in annoyance but didn't turn to look at the woman who had barged into the men's restroom.
Katherine also avoided looking at the man who seemed about to use the urinal and went to knock on each stall door. Finally, she knocked on a locked door!
"Excuse me, is anyone in there?"
The stall door was locked, but there was no response from inside.
Katherine had a hunch and squinted her eyes, "Is that you in there, George?"
There was still no response from inside.
Katherine said, then squatted down to look under the stall door, and sure enough, she saw George's shoes!
"George! Come out right now! Mommy can see your feet, stop hiding! Open the door! If you don't come out, Mommy will kick the door open!"
After a moment of silence, the stall door finally opened, and Julian looked at Katherine with a guilty expression.
Finding the kid, Katherine felt relieved but also very angry, "I just told you yesterday not to run around, and today you did it again! We'll talk about this when we get home! Let's go!"
Since they were in the men's restroom, Katherine didn't want to stay long. She picked up Julian and turned to leave, consciously avoiding looking at the man at the urinal.
At first, Trevor didn't look at the somewhat rough woman either, until she opened the stall door.
And that stall was the one Julian had entered!
The woman indeed carried a child out of the stall, and when he saw clearly, he confirmed that the child was Julian!
There was no time to think about why Julian was back in the original stall!
