Chapter 795 I'm Serious

Leina frowned. "Teresa, we don't know Frank very well, but isn't Frank your boyfriend?"

Teresa was so angry she felt lightheaded. "When did I ever say he was my boyfriend?"

Otha, hearing this, put down the knife, "Teresa, are you saying Frank isn't your boyfriend? Then why does he always help our family business?"

Teresa was stunned.

Could it be that Frank really got involved in her family's business?

Last time, Frank insisted she bring him to her house. She couldn't shake him off, so she finally brought him home!

Frank was very outgoing. As soon as he arrived at her house, he got along well with her parents and even took the opportunity to talk about business. During the visit, he often did things that made people misunderstand, like handing her tissues and wiping her mouth.

But after he left, Teresa immediately clarified to her parents that she had no relationship with Frank and that they were just ordinary friends.

Maybe not even ordinary friends; Frank was just her former boss, nothing more.

She thought nothing more would happen, but who knew that today, Frank would come to her house alone while she wasn't home!

Otha wiped his hands and walked over to Teresa, "Teresa, why aren't you saying anything? If Frank isn't your boyfriend, why does he help our family business so much?"

Teresa felt a bit frustrated and thought she owed Frank, "Dad, what exactly has he done for our family?"

Otha replied, "Well, he...."

"It's what I should do, Mr. Harris. Don't feel pressured. Those business deals would have gone to other companies anyway, so why not give them to someone I trust?"

Frank walked in, smiling warmly, and took over the conversation, "Mrs. Harris, the table is set. Is there anything else I can help with?"

Leina smiled. "No, Frank! Since Teresa is back, why don't you two go outside and chat? Otha and I will call you when dinner is ready!"

Otha looked at Frank with admiration and approval.

Only Teresa had a headache and a helpless expression, not knowing what to say!

Frank smiled at Leina, "Mrs. Harris, then I'll go outside with Teresa and wait for dinner?"

Leina nodded with a smile, "Go ahead, go ahead!"

Then, Frank turned to Teresa, "Shall we go, Teresa? Let's wait outside."

Teresa sighed and turned to go out, with Frank following her with a smile.

Watching them leave, Otha looked at Leina with some confusion, "Frank is really a good kid, but why does Teresa say he's not her boyfriend?"

Leina waved her hand, "They're probably just having a little argument. You know how your daughter can be; she's likely upset with him over something trivial. Let's not get involved in their young love drama. Come on, let's get cooking! They're waiting for dinner!"

Otha thought Leina made sense and didn't think much more about it.

Coming out of the kitchen, Teresa sat seriously on the couch, glaring at Frank, "Mr. Perez, what are you doing? Do you know this is causing a lot of trouble for me?"

Frank smiled, "Really?"

Teresa nodded firmly, "Yes! You're causing me trouble, making it hard for me to explain to my parents!"

Frank pursed his lips. "If you don't know how to explain, then don't."

Teresa crossed her arms, a bit angry, "Not explain? Now they all think you're my boyfriend. When they find out you're not, I'll get lectured again!"

Frank was indifferent, "Then just let me be your real boyfriend. That way, there's nothing to explain."

Teresa was stunned, then turned her face away from him, "I've told you many times, please don't joke about things like this! I can't play emotional games, especially ones that involve my parents. Frank, you've got the wrong person!"

Frank picked up a cup of coffee from the table and took a sip. It was the coffee Leina had made for him earlier.

After a moment of silence, Frank spoke, "I can't play emotional games that involve the other person's parents either. Since I came to your house, I'm not playing any games. Teresa, don't you believe me?"

Teresa was stunned again, unable to speak for a long time, just staring at him, trying to read some hint of jest or insincerity in his eyes.

But there was none!

At this moment, Frank was more serious and earnest than ever before.

"Frank, dating me means getting married!" Teresa seemed to be warning him.

Frank smiled, "Okay, then let's get married!"

Teresa frowned; she didn't like Frank's casual attitude towards marriage!

She emphasized, "The marriage I want is one that lasts a lifetime, not the kind where you get divorced if it doesn't work out!"

Frank's brow furrowed with a hint of genuine pressure, and he sighed. "What do I have to do to prove that I seriously want to marry you and not just play around for you to believe me?"

Teresa replied, "I don't know what you have to do to make me believe. Right now, I think you're not the type to settle down in marriage, and I clearly recognize that I'm not special. I can't change anyone, nor am I an exception for anyone."

Frank said, "You are my exception. Before you, I never thought about marrying any woman or spending my life with one! Haven't you already changed me? Why not be brave and give it a try with me?"

Teresa looked at him, stunned, "I've tried too many times before and failed! I can't go through that again! Sorry, Mr. Perez, but you should find someone else. There are plenty of women who would be happy to try with you."

Frank put the coffee cup down heavily, "Teresa, I'm serious. Marriage isn't an experiment for me. If we get married, it's for life! But I can't promise what the future holds because no one can predict that. I don't want you to look at me one day and call me a liar because things changed. Teresa, I hope you seriously consider me. Let's just take it seriously and let things develop naturally, okay? I truly mean this."
