Chapter 805 You Can Vome Out Now

"But I..." Sophia retorted.

Brent didn't want to continue discussing the past with Sophia, so he waved his hand to interrupt, "Enough! I just hope you don't hold a grudge against Linda. I only have you two daughters, and I don't want to see any discord between you."

Sophia reluctantly nodded, "Alright, I understand how you feel. I won't be mad at Linda and will get along with her."

Brent patted Sophia's shoulder with relief, "That's the spirit, good girl!"

Sophia suppressed her anger, thinking that once she successfully inherited all of Brent's assets, she would settle the score with Nora and Linda.

It was over an hour later when they arrived at the hotel.

Brent checked into the same hotel as Sophia. After his subordinates settled their luggage, he took Nora and Linda to Sophia's suite to see his long-unseen son-in-law, Trevor.

When Trevor saw Brent, he remained calm and nodded slightly, "Hello, Dad."

Brent, with his hands behind his back, said discontentedly, "You still remember I'm your father-in-law. You didn't even go to the airport with Sophia to pick us up!"

Trevor replied, "I'm really sorry, Dad. I wasn't feeling well. Please forgive me, Godfather."

Brent looked at Trevor's legs in the wheelchair with increasing annoyance.

Sophia didn't want Brent to blame Trevor so much. She tugged on Brent's arm and then walked towards Trevor.

As she got closer, she noticed Trevor's forehead was covered in sweat.

"Trevor, why are you sweating so much?"

Sophia worriedly touched his forehead. "Oh no! Your forehead is hot. Are you sick with a fever?"

Trevor shook his head slightly and gently pushed Sophia's hand away, "It's nothing, just a headache."

He couldn't tell the truth—that he had been secretly doing rehab exercises while she was out and hadn't had time to wash off the sweat.

"A headache must mean you have a fever! Trevor, go back to your room and rest. I'll call a doctor to check on you!" Sophia was anxious. She quickly pushed Trevor back to the room, urging him to lie down.

Brent watched Sophia's anxious care for Trevor and felt a bit worried, "I should have gone easier on him back then. If I had, maybe he wouldn't be in this condition, and Sophia wouldn't have to struggle so much."

Nora sighed and took Brent's arm, "What's done is done, Brent. Trevor didn't choose this either. Say no more. Let's give them some space and head back to our suite."

Brent sighed and followed Nora out.

Linda was about to follow Nora but suddenly noticed George watching them from a distance.

She thought it was Julian, so she walked over and extended a hand to him, "Come on, let's go play!"

George didn't know Linda and shook his head.

Linda frowned at George, "Julian, don't you recognize me? I'm your Aunt Linda!"

Sophia rarely let Trevor and Julian meet people, so it wasn't surprising that Julian didn't recognize her.

George blinked, "Aunt Linda?"

Linda thought George was calling her and nodded, "Let's go! I brought you a gift this time, a Machine Man toy. You should like it!"

Hearing about the Machine Man toy, George put his little hand in Linda's hand and followed her out.

The bedroom balcony door was open, and a cool breeze blew in.

As soon as Sophia entered, she closed the balcony door, "Trevor, no wonder you caught a cold! It's cloudy today, and you left the balcony door wide open. You must have caught a cold from the wind!"

Trevor's deep eyes glanced at the balcony.

Did he forget to close the balcony door after his rehab?

Fortunately, Sophia didn't suspect anything.

After closing the balcony door, she turned to help him, "Come on, let me help you to the bed. Cover up and stay warm. The doctor will be here soon!"

Trevor raised his hand to refuse her help, "I'm fine, no need to call a doctor. You should go accompany Dad. You haven't seen him in a while; you must have a lot to talk about."

Sophia shook her head, "It's okay, Trevor. Dad and I talked a lot on the way to the hotel. I'll stay here and take care of you."

Trevor frowned, "I said I'm fine. I don't need you to take care of me like this."

Sophia looked innocent, "Trevor, I'm just concerned about you. Why are you getting mad?"

Trevor was just annoyed, not angry.

"Can't you see Dad was upset that I didn't go to the airport to pick him up? If you stay here with me now, it will seem like you're neglecting him because of me. He'll dislike me even more and won't agree to you being with me."

Sophia was stunned. So Trevor cared so much about his image as a son-in-law in Brent's eyes!

"Trevor, you're overthinking. Dad always supports me."

Trevor said seriously, "Whether I'm overthinking or not, I think it's better for you to accompany him now. Explain to him that I was afraid of spreading my cold to them, so I didn't go over. Ask him not to blame me."

Sophia nodded, "Alright, I'll do as you say! Trevor, rest well. If you don't want to call a doctor, I'll go and get you some cold medicine."

Trevor nodded.

Sophia looked at Trevor for a while before turning to leave reluctantly.

She found that Brent and Nora were already gone, so she went to their suite.

Trevor watched Sophia leave the suite, then maneuvered his wheelchair to close and lock the door.

Then he turned towards the bathroom and said, "You can come out now."

After a few seconds of silence, Katherine opened the bathroom door and walked out, "How did you know I was here?"

Trevor looked serious, "I remember closing the balcony door."

Katherine glanced at the balcony and shrugged, "Brent is here. It seems your plan to get away is getting more complicated."

Trevor stared at her, "Why did you come at this time?"

Didn't she be afraid of being discovered?
