Nora embraced Claire, patting her back. "There are some things we just can't foresee. Come on, Claire, I actually think Katherine is a sensible kid. She'll understand you! You really shouldn't have run away just now."
Claire took a sharp breath and shook her head. "No, I really don't know how to face her. She was so young back then, she couldn't possibly understand why I abandoned her and sent her to strangers. I really owe her, leaving her alone and miserable for so many years."

Claire waved her hand. "No, I must do something for her! Nora, let's go! Accompany me to a place first!"
Nora was stunned. "Where are we going?"
"You'll know when we get there." Claire didn't explain much. She grabbed Nora with one hand and led Linda with the other, quickly leaving the café.

Nora looked at the old villa outside the car window and asked curiously, "Claire, who are you looking for here?"

With that, she opened the car door and got out.
Linda, sitting in the back seat, curiously leaned forward and asked Nora, "Mom, why does Ms. Ayers seem a bit scary? She's usually the gentlest!"

Seeing Claire walking towards the villa to knock on the door, Nora felt uneasy and quickly got out of the car with Linda.

Sherry thought, 'Why is this still charming woman looking for Dad? Could she be another one of Dad's mistresses?'
Thinking of this, Sherry glanced at Nora and the little girl standing next to Claire.

Sherry frowned defensively. "Who are you? What do you want with my dad?"
Claire said, "I'm Joshua's classmate. I have some questions for him."

"My dad is out fishing at this time. He won't be back for a while. If you have something to ask him, come back another day!"

Claire said, "Nora, you and Linda go back first. I'll wait here for Joshua. I won't be able to sleep if I don't get some answers today."
She needed to ask Joshua why he lied to her about her daughter Laura being dead when she was clearly alive!
