Chapter 626 Beat Me Up

Teresa didn't want Frank to catch on to her inner freak-out, just wanted to bolt outta there ASAP. But as she turned and barely cracked the door open, a hand reached over and slammed it shut again.

Startled, she frowned but didn't dare to look back. "Mr. Perez, what the heck are you doing?"

Frank stood behind her, his warm breath with a hint of beer malt tickling her ear. "Nothin'."

Teresa's heart was pounding like crazy. "Then let me out. I gotta hit the restroom."

Frank's voice had a hint of amusement. "Restroom's right to your left. Go ahead."

Teresa glanced to her left and, sure enough, there was a bathroom, but it was in Frank's bedroom. No way she was using that. Plus, she didn't really need the restroom; she just wanted out. "Mr. Perez, I don't like using the bathroom in a guy's bedroom. Let me out."

Frank said, "Don't sweat it, my restroom's spotless. Gets cleaned every day."

Feeling stuck and wanting to get away from Frank, she had no choice but to head into the bathroom.

Locking the door, Teresa looked at herself in the mirror, seeing her embarrassed expression. 'Thank God I was facing away from Frank the whole time. Who knows how hard he would've laughed if he saw me like this! I totally regret coming here with Katherine.

Even though I'm in a new relationship and ready to keep dating Anthony, I can't deny I've never forgotten Frank. I just force myself not to think about him, telling myself over and over that he never respects me and isn't worth it.

Still, every time I see Frank, my heart races. Maybe I'm just obsessed with his face. It's exactly my type. What do I do now? If I go out, I'll have to face the person who makes me lose my cool.'

After hiding out in Frank's bathroom for a solid ten minutes, Teresa finally opened the door and stepped out. Even though she didn't want to face Frank, staying any longer would just make things weirder.

As she walked out, she saw Frank leaning casually against the doorframe, grinning at her. "Decided to come out?"

Teresa frowned. "Mr. Perez, what are you up to? Please, don't mess with me, okay?"

Frank chuckled. "What did I do to mess with you?"

Teresa snapped, "You locked me in your room and wouldn't let me out. Isn't that enough?"

Frank burst out laughing. "You came with me to give Katherine some peace and quiet in the living room, didn't you?"

Teresa frowned. "I didn't know you'd bring me to your bedroom! If I had, I wouldn't have come with you!"

Frank smiled. "Alright, just chill in my room for a bit. If you go out now, you'll bug Katherine. If she gets mad, she might really kick you out."

Seeing Frank's serious face, Teresa calmed down a bit. "Did Katherine's temper get this bad after she got pregnant?"

Frank replied, "Nah, Katherine's always been like this. She rarely gets mad, but when she does, it's no joke. Haven't you noticed I don't even dare to go out and talk to her now?"

Teresa started to worry again. "Alright then."

Frank raised his arm, gently placed it on her shoulder, and led her to the bed, pressing her down to sit. He explained, "I didn't intentionally bring you to my bedroom. It's just that in this house, only my room is under my control. The other rooms are occupied by Katherine and Ambrosia. I wouldn't dare take you to their territory. If they found out, they'd beat me up!"

Sitting on the soft bed, Teresa felt a bit uncomfortable, but after hearing Frank's explanation, she understood a bit and didn't get up again.

'I always knew Frank and Ms. Hawthorne lived together. Today, I just found out Katherine also lives with them. Girls need more rooms because they have a lot of clothes and cosmetics to store.

Men are much simpler; a bedroom is enough. And girls really don't like others entering their rooms without permission. It's understandable,' Teresa thought.

Frank opened a bottle of Coke for Teresa and handed it to her. "Don't be nervous. I don't mean anything else."

Teresa gradually relaxed. She didn't think Frank had any other intentions; she was just afraid of losing her composure in front of him.

She took the Coke and took a sip, not knowing what to say.

Frank sat down next to her, keeping a respectful distance, and took a sip of his beer. "You don't really want to face me, do you? So why did you come back with us?"

Teresa said, "I want to persuade Katherine."

Frank laughed. "You like Katherine that much?"

Teresa looked at him seriously. "Of course I do. Don't you? Katherine is a great person."

Frank's smile deepened. "Of course, I like Katherine too! But she probably won't become your family again."

Teresa was a bit frustrated. "Why? Doesn't Katherine like Alex anymore? They used to have a great relationship!"

Frank shrugged. "No matter how good the relationship is, there are things that can't be tolerated. I know Katherine's temper best. They can't be together anymore."

Teresa didn't understand. "What can't be tolerated? Did Alex do something that Katherine can't accept?"

Frank didn't want to say more about Katherine's affairs, so he changed the subject with a smile. "Anyway, if you want to see her, you can date me. Then you can see her every day."

Teresa was stunned, blushing. "Mr. Perez, I hope you won't joke with me like this. Otherwise, I will..."

"Will what? Slap me again?" Frank laughed. "Only you could do that. If anyone else dared to slap me, Katherine would stand by my side and hit them back."

Teresa felt awkward. "How did you and Katherine even meet?"

"Want to know?"

"Yes! Tell me."

"Then you have to date me. I don't usually tell outsiders about our story. " Frank teased her.
