Chapter 308 Katherine's Amazing Voice!
Sophie made her way to the audience, glanced around, and then went to sit behind Macus and Aria in the front row.
The Ayers family elders were Bernard's biological grandparents. Getting along well with them would benefit her relationship with Bernard in the future.
Sophie greeted the elders politely and respectfully before sitting down gracefully. Then she looked up at the stage just as Katherine, in costume, stepped onto the stage.
The show was about to begin!
Katherine walked steadily onto the stage and sang, "We never said our love was evergreen or as unchanging as the sea, but if you can still remember, stop and think of me. Think of all the things we've shared and seen. Don't think about the way things might have been."
No voice cracks, no off-key notes, and no wrong lyrics!
Her voice was heavenly!
The audience, who had been chatting while watching the show, fell silent and focused on the "Phantom" on stage!
Sophie was dumbfounded. The on her face froze and faded.
She wondered if she was hallucinating. Could such a professional singing voice really come from Katherine?
She listened carefully again. It wasn't a hallucination; she was truly singing very well!
How could this be possible?
How could Katherine, a country girl, sing opera so vividly? With her background, it seemed impossible for her to have learned it!
The distinguished middle-aged and elderly guests around were already cheering and applauding the "Phantom" on stage, their eyes full of admiration and praise.

At this moment, someone in the audience cheerfully asked Macus, "Macus, who is that famous actor playing the 'Phantom' on stage? She sings so well! Where did you find her?"

Aria, with tears in her eyes, stared at the "Phantom" on stage and choked up, "It's Claire. It's my daughter Claire singing her favorite 'Phantom of the Opera'."
Seeing Aria's reaction, Macus felt a pang in his heart. He placed a calming hand on her trembling shoulder and said in a deep voice, "Aria, calm down. Let our Claire finish singing."
Hearing Macus's words, Aria paused, suppressing the urge to rush up and hug her daughter. She nodded quietly. "Yes, Claire is singing. She mustn't be interrupted. Our Claire doesn't like being interrupted."
When the performance ended, and the actors took their bows and left the stage, Aria watched her 'daughter' turn and leave her sight, becoming emotionally unstable again and anxiously getting up to chase after her daughter.
Macus, anticipating this, quickly held Aria back. "Aria, don't run around. Don't worry, Claire won't leave again."
After calming Aria down, Macus turned to the servant waiting by his side and instructed, "Quick, go bring the 'Phantom' from the stage over here!"
"Yes, Mr. Ayers."
The servant responded and immediately went off.
Seeing this, Sophie, who had just shaken off her reverie and returned to her senses, felt uneasy!
She had intended for Katherine to make a fool of herself in public. Still, she never expected Katherine to actually be able to sing opera and gain the admiration of Macus and Aria, who now wanted to meet her alone?
This couldn't happen!

Sophie forced a fake smile and nodded. "Okay, Mr. Ayers, don't worry. I'll go get Scarlett to meet you right away!"
Sophie hurried backstage and ran into Katherine, who was about to leave.
She blocked Katherine's way unhappily. "Stop! Where are you going?"
Katherine, still in her stage makeup, replied calmly, "Someone just called me, saying Mr. Ayers wanted to see me. I'm on my way there now."
Sophie glared at her disdainfully. "What are you going for? Don't forget, you just performed in place of Scarlett. Macus called for Scarlett, and he saw Scarlett, not you! Katherine, you'd better not think about using this opportunity to show off!"
Katherine raised an eyebrow indifferently. "So you mean I don't have to go?"
Sophie snorted arrogantly. "You're not qualified to go! Stay backstage and don't cause any trouble! Scarlett will go see Aria and Marcus herself!"
Katherine shrugged indifferently. "OK! If I don't have to go, I'll go remove my makeup!"

Glaring at Katherine's back with disgust, Sophie turned to find Scarlett. She planned to have her best friend Scarlett meet Aria and Marcus as the Phantom.
