Chapter 690 Dad Will Handle It for You!

Katherine raised an eyebrow, curious. "Oh? What else do you have in mind for me?"

With a teasing tone, Sophia replied, "Why don't you take a wild guess?"

Katherine casually sipped her milk. "Nah, I'm not guessing. If you want to do something, just go ahead. No need for a heads-up."

Sophia, not getting the reaction she wanted, felt like she was hitting a brick wall. "Katherine, don't you know my father is..."

Before Sophia could finish, Katherine hung up on her.

Fuming, Sophia threw her phone to the ground. No one had ever dared to treat her like this!

Her attendant quickly picked up the phone, cleaned it, and handed it back. "Ms. Coleman, please don't be upset. If Mr. Coleman sees you like this, he'll be heartbroken and might blame us for not taking good care of you."

Sophia gritted her teeth, took the phone, and sent a flurry of messages to Alex, confessing her long-time crush. Still, no response.

Alex was truly heartless. Knowing her feelings, he didn't even give her a shred of dignity!

An hour later, Sophia arrived at her sprawling estate in Markovia.

A middle-aged man, looking like he was in his early forties, was leisurely fishing by the pond.

A servant ran over to report, "Mr. Coleman, Ms. Coleman is back."

Hearing this, Brent quickly handed his fishing rod to his assistant and stood up to greet Sophia.

Sophia walked briskly from the car, her attendant trailing behind with her luggage.

Brent approached, frowning with concern. "Sophia, what's wrong? Who upset you? Tell me, and I'll make them pay."

Brent, dressed casually, was actually in his fifties but looked much younger.

Sophia threw herself into Brent's arms, tears streaming down her face. "Dad, Alex won't talk to me anymore. He wants to break up with me for another woman."

Seeing his usually composed daughter so heartbroken, Brent felt both pained and annoyed. "Didn't I tell you before? When you like someone, you have to act fast. Now look, another woman beat you to it, right?"

He had always known about Sophia's feelings for Alex and had advised her to confess directly instead of harboring a secret crush.

Sophia looked up, unhappy. "Dad, I've been hurt, and you're still saying things to upset me."

Brent sighed. "Am I wrong? You're my daughter, but when it comes to love, you're nothing like I was at your age. Young people should love passionately and boldly. Why play the game of secret crushes and long-term affection? You should've just listened to me from the start and told Alex how you felt. If it worked out, awesome. If not, you could've moved on. Being just friends wasted so many years of your life."

Sophia shook her head, still not buying it. "Dad, you don't get it. Alex isn't like other guys. If I had confessed right away, we wouldn't even be friends now. He would've ignored me ages ago."

Brent's tone turned stern. "So what if he ignores you? My daughter won't be short of admirers. I'll introduce you to guys even better looking than Alex."

Sophia was adamant. "No one compares to Alex. Dad, I don't care. Besides Alex, I don't want anyone else. You have to help me get rid of that woman, Katherine. I never want to see her near Alex again."

Sophia hadn't taken Scarlett, another woman interested in Alex, seriously because she knew Alex didn't like Scarlett's delicate nature. But Katherine was a different story.

Initially, Sophia didn't want to completely eliminate Katherine, fearing it would create a rift between her and Alex, or that Katherine's death would make Alex remember her forever.

But now, she didn't care. If she couldn't get rid of Katherine soon, she'd have to watch Katherine and Alex live happily ever after.

Brent, despite disliking how Alex treated Sophia, couldn't stand to see her so upset. He had no choice but to say, "Alright, you just got off the plane. Go take a bath and rest. I'll handle this."

Sophia nodded reluctantly, then left Brent's embrace and walked towards the large house on the estate.

Watching her dejected figure, Brent's face hardened with determination. He sternly ordered his subordinate to investigate the woman competing with Sophia for Alex.

On her way back to the house, Sophia ran into a beautiful woman leading a seven or eight-year-old girl. The woman, in her forties, had shoulder-length hair, kind eyes, and a gentle demeanor, exuding a calm and elegant intellectual beauty.

Sophia, however, cast a disdainful glance at the woman and muttered, "Homewrecker."

"Sophia, you're back." The woman pretended not to hear the insult and smiled warmly at her, then gently instructed the little girl beside her. "Linda, Sophia is back. Go say hello."

Linda Coleman, holding a teddy bear, stubbornly glared at Sophia. "No, she bullies Mom. She's a bad woman."

The woman sternly said, "Linda, how can you say that? Apologize to Sophia right now."

Linda arrogantly turned her head away. "I'm not wrong, I won't apologize."

The woman looked embarrassed and apologized to Sophia. "Sophia, Linda is too willful. I'll talk to her and have her apologize to you later."

Sophia sneered. "Enough, stop pretending in front of me. If you didn't teach her this way, she wouldn't treat me like this."
