Chapter 800 I Am Willing Too
"Daddy, what's wrong? What are you thinking about?"
George keenly noticed the change in Trevor's expression and asked with wide eyes.
Trevor snapped out of it and shook his head. "Nothing! Go wash up and get ready for bed."
"Okay!" George nodded, then obediently turned and walked towards the bathroom. As he pushed the door open, his eyes widened in surprise.
George was stunned!
Trevor noticed George's unusual reaction and immediately became alert, maneuvering his wheelchair over to see what was going on.
He too was stunned because he saw Katherine sitting on the toilet seat, resting her chin in her hands, looking rather unhappy.
Trevor hesitated for a moment, instinctively glancing at the door to see if it was properly closed, then maneuvered his wheelchair to bring George into the bathroom and closed the door.
"You shouldn't be here at this time."
Hearing Trevor say this, Katherine was indifferent, still resting her chin in her hands, slightly frowning, and asked him, "Did you see the message I sent you?"
Trevor's expression froze for a moment before he said, "Yes, I saw it."
Katherine's frown deepened. "If you saw it, why didn't you reply?"
Trevor said, "It wasn't convenient."
Katherine's eyes burned with anger, and she sneered, "I don't believe you couldn't find a single moment to reply to me in the past few hours!"
Trevor remained silent; he indeed had opportunities to reply to her.
Katherine said, "George, go outside and keep an eye on the door for Mommy!"
George seemed to understand something and immediately responded, "Okay, Mommy!"
Then George ran out to keep watch!
Seeing George leave, Katherine stood up and slowly walked towards Trevor.
Trevor didn't avoid her approach, but said calmly, "Do you know how dangerous this is? Sophia could come in looking for me at any moment, and she could discover you at any time."
Katherine was indifferent. "What are you afraid of? She loves you so much that if she finds out, she'll only want to get rid of me, not hurt you, right?"
Trevor noticed that she seemed different this time, looking upset.
Trevor calmly asked, "What's wrong with you? Have you been drinking?"
Katherine said, "No, I don't drink."
Trevor was puzzled, "Then what's going on? Why are you acting like this?"
Katherine walked up to him, lifted his chin, and asked, "Why didn't you reply to my message?"
Was she here just to ask him this? Trevor looked at her, his brows furrowing deeply, "Weren't you on a date with another man this afternoon? I thought I shouldn't disturb you."
Katherine's brow furrowed tightly, "Who told you I was on a date with another man?"
Trevor's lips curled into a sarcastic smile, "Didn't the photos you sent show that man? Still not admitting it?"
Katherine was taken aback, released his chin, took out her phone, and looked at the photo she took while eating, realizing it indeed showed Jonathan's hand and clothes.
She hadn't thought much about it at the time and didn't notice.
Besides, she wasn't really on a secret date, so why should she be so cautious?
What was the big deal if the person she was eating with was in the photo?
Katherine got angrier the more she thought about it, "So, you thought I was on a date with another man, and deliberately didn't disturb me, hoping I would develop something with him?"
Trevor was silent for a few seconds, "Now that I'm disabled, how can I stand in the way of you pursuing your own happiness?"
Katherine became completely serious, glaring at him, and cursed, "Damn it, Trevor! Why did God let me meet someone like you!"
Hearing her call him Alex, Trevor's heart tightened, a sense of familiarity welling up.
"Sorry, I couldn't bring you happiness."
Katherine placed her hands around Alex's neck, applying some pressure, "I should just strangle you!"
Trevor closed his eyes, letting her choke him without any resistance.
Katherine didn't apply more force; she just quietly watched Alex's expression as he closed his eyes. She looked at this man who had reappeared after three years but no longer remembered her, and her throat tightened.
Trevor suddenly felt Katherine's breath getting closer, and when he opened his eyes, he saw her face right in front of him, startling him!
At that moment, he understood why his former self had two children with this woman.
She was indeed very beautiful, like an angel.
Katherine hated him to death, yet couldn't control herself from wanting to see him, to be close to him.
She was even grateful that he was still alive, even if he didn't remember her, even if his body was now incomplete.
As long as he was still in this world, it was already a great blessing.
Today at the dinner table, Sunny's words had awakened her: when she met someone she liked, she should focus on dating them properly, avoiding unnecessary worries, and cherishing the moments they could share together.
She thought she should cherish this Alex who had been lost and found again, to avoid future regrets!
Just as their lips were about to touch, Trevor's eerily calm voice sounded, "Are you sure you can accept me as I am now?"
Katherine instantly lost interest, straightened up, and frowned, "What's wrong with you now?"
Trevor said sternly, "I may never be able to stand up like a man again, and I can't give you psychological or physical happiness."
Katherine was momentarily stunned, but she understood.
"It doesn't matter; we already have children; whether we have sex or not doesn't matter; I don't have a strong sexual desire anyway!"
Trevor looked at her intently, "Really? Do you know how long a lifetime is? I can't protect you, take care of you and the kids, and you'll have to take care of me, be burdened by me."
Katherine crossed her arms, "A lifetime isn't that long. It's just a few decades! Besides, I don't need anyone to protect or take care of me, and you, even with your physical limitations, are still good-looking! No woman would see a good-looking man as a burden."
Trevor's face stiffened, amused by her serious way of speaking sweetly, "So you think I'm very good-looking?"
Katherine nodded frankly, "It's not just what I think, it's a fact! Why else would Sophia keep you around? Isn't it because you're so good-looking it's almost a crime?"
The usually cold Trevor couldn't help but smile, "You look very serious, but your words are quite sweet."
Katherine said, "I'm not flattering you, just stating the obvious!"
Trevor asked, "You really don't mind me being like this now?"
Katherine bent down, meeting his long, handsome eyes, "I don't mind!"
Trevor was silent for a moment, then smiled, "Alright, if you don't mind, then of course I'm willing."
