Chapter 362 Blind Date

Vincent looked at Katherine with clear admiration. "It's nothing serious. I just wanted to meet my young savior!"

Katherine smiled slightly. "Don't say that, sir. I was just passing by and helped out. I'm no savior; you're giving me too much credit."

Vincent insisted. "Of course you are! If you hadn't shown up that day, I might've ended up in the hospital because of that reckless woman. I might not have made it!"

Katherine tugged at the corner of her mouth, unsure of what to say.

Vincent smiled warmly. "Since my savior is here, we should treat you well! Come on, let's sit in the living room and chat."

Katherine wanted to leave quickly. She had a deep-seated dislike for the Mitchell family. Even though she was somewhat related to them, they all had a hand in driving her mother away. Not one of them stood up for her!

Strictly speaking, they were all her enemies. But for now, she hadn't uncovered the truth and couldn't avenge her mother yet.

Vincent was too enthusiastic. Katherine couldn't resist and finally nodded, "Alright."

Hearing her agree, Vincent immediately had someone prepare tea and cheerfully led her to the living room. Alex stayed silent, following closely.

Bernard frowned, displeased but unable to go against his grandfather's wishes and ask them to leave.

Just then, Scarlett walked over, puzzled. "Bernard, what's going on? Why is Grandpa calling Katherine his savior?"

Already in a bad mood, Bernard glared at his sister. "Scarlett, you haven't explained what happened earlier! Go back to your room and think about what you've done. Come out when you're ready to give me a real explanation!"

Scarlett's heart sank. Did Bernard really not believe her anymore? She needed to think of a way to explain herself that Bernard would accept.

Before going upstairs, Scarlett unwillingly glanced at Katherine, seeing Vincent talking kindly to her. She bit her lip in frustration. That damn Katherine, after stealing her man, was now trying to win over her grandfather. What was she up to?

In the living room, the servants brought out fine tea and snacks. Vincent looked kindly at Katherine. "When we met last time, I was temporarily blind from a chemical accident during an experiment. I've only recently recovered my sight! Today, I finally get to see my savior's face, and you look just as lovely as I imagined!"

As he spoke, Vincent kept staring at Katherine, nodding with a kind of inexplicable fondness. Bernard, sitting nearby, felt it was inappropriate for Vincent to stare at a young girl like that and cleared his throat. "Grandpa!"

Vincent ignored his grandson and cheerfully asked, "Katherine, how old are you?"

Katherine took a sip of tea and replied calmly, "I just turned twenty."

"Twenty, perfect age!" Vincent nodded, looking serious. "If I'm not mistaken, you don't have a boyfriend yet, right? I know an excellent young man. Want an introduction?"

Katherine tugged at the corner of her mouth. "I..."

Vincent continued, "Don't be shy! A girl should find a boyfriend early, or all the good ones will be taken!"

Alex frowned, took a sip of tea, and glanced at Katherine.

Katherine's mouth twitched. She never expected Vincent to keep her here to play matchmaker.

Vincent went on. "Katherine, you're my savior. I wouldn't introduce you to just anyone! I have a friend who's an old professor. His grandson is a professional singer with albums out, the kind of star young girls go crazy for. He's handsome, can sing and dance. He's from a wealthy family, and I've watched him grow up. He's a man of good character, someone you can trust for life!"

Katherine was about to decline when Vincent dropped the name of the star.

Vincent continued, "His name is Aron Smith, and he's quite famous. If you don't believe me, look him up online. There are photos and videos of him! You'll see I'm not lying; he's very handsome!"

Initially troubled and ready to refuse, Katherine's eyes suddenly lit up. She asked incredulously, "Sir, did you say Aron Smith? The lead singer of Heartstrings Band?"

He nodded. "Yes, that's the name, Heartstrings Band! So, you know him too?"

Of course, she knew. Katherine had only ever had two idols in her life. One was a hacker named Lion, whom she admired for his skills. The other was Aron Smith, a singer she had silently followed during her teenage years. Aron's voice had accompanied her through many lonely nights.

She couldn't help but ask expectantly, "Can I really meet Aron Smith through you?"

He replied, "Of course! I want to introduce him to you as a boyfriend! What do you think?"

"I think..." Katherine was about to respond when a cold, low cough interrupted her!

Alex cleared his throat, his cold aura spreading throughout the living room.

Katherine suddenly remembered Alex was still there. She turned to look at him and saw his displeased expression. He was sipping tea, his eyes narrowed dangerously, waiting to see her reaction. If she wasn't mistaken, he seemed to be angry.

She pursed her lips, turned back to Vincent, and said, "Mr. Vincent Mitchell, I appreciate your kindness, but I already have a boyfriend."

Vincent looked incredulous. "What? You already have a boyfriend? Who is he? Tell me, and I'll see if he's worthy of you!"
