Chapter 113 Katherine, I'm Going to Pursue You

Katherine paused for a moment, then leisurely crossed her arms and looked at Sunny with a slightly disdainful gaze. "Hmm? Mr. Mitchell, what are you trying to do?"

Sunny's face turned red as if he was brewing something difficult to say. His brows furrowed with youthful impulsiveness, and after half a minute, he finally spoke, "Katherine, I'm going to pursue you!"

Katherine remained unperturbed, raising an eyebrow and scrutinizing him with boredom. "Have you grown up?"

Sunny proudly lifted his chin. "In six months, I'll be eighteen!"

Katherine lazily yawned. "Then come find me when you're of age."

With that, she prepared to leave, clearly showing no interest in continuing the conversation.

But Sunny blocked her way with his arms, not letting her leave!

Sunny, with a serious expression, said, "Katherine, stay away from Alex. Just give him back to Scarlett! If you like rich men, come to me. Being with me is the same; the Mitchell family's wealth can satisfy you, too!"

Unable to leave, Katherine leaned lazily against the tree, raising an eyebrow at the naive young man, giving a faint smile.

"Be with you? A baby whose credit card can be cut off by his brother at any time?

What would I get out of that? A son?" she questioned.

Mentioning the credit card being cut off by his brother made Sunny feel embarrassed, but he couldn't refute it. He grunted in displeasure.

"I'm not a baby! You're not much older than me! When I control the finances in the future, I'll give you plenty of money to spend!" Sunny stated.

Katherine's gaze was like watching a naive child playing house. She gently lifted her hand to push away one of Sunny's arms. "I appreciate your kindness, but I don't have time to wait for you to grow up. We're not suitable."

With that, she easily walked out of Sunny's blockade and left calmly.

But Sunny wasn't done yet. He emphasized again. "Katherine, in any case, you can't be with Alex. He's Scarlett's man!"

After all that, Sunny just wanted to clear obstacles for Scarlett and deal with her rival.

Little did he know, she wasn't even Scarlett's rival. She and Alex were just in a cooperative relationship that would end automatically when the time came!

Thinking of this, Katherine recalled what Alex had just said to her "Then we won't part ways." Alex said it so lightly and inexplicably.

Before this, Alex had mentioned more than once that he wasn't interested in her in that way and could give her anything but feelings.

Clearly, Alex didn't want to get involved with her during their cooperation.

So what did he mean by "we won't part ways"?

Alex was so fickle!

Katherine paused, silent for two seconds, then calmly said, "You're overthinking it. Alex doesn't belong to me, and he doesn't need me to give him back to your sister! Instead of worrying about this, you should go home and do your homework!"

Sunny frowned and said irritably, "Don't underestimate me! I've already finished my homework!"

"Then go find somewhere comfortable to stay!" Katherine didn't bother to say more and started walking again.

But Sunny still followed her, continuing, "Katherine, anyway, I don't care. From today on, I'm going to pursue you. Just wait for my fierce pursuit!"

Katherine turned back and smiled lightly. "Want to pursue me? Get into a good college first! I won't consider someone who struggles academically; I'd worry about the intelligence of my future children."

As she spoke, she pointed her slender finger at her temple, clearly showing her disdain for Sunny's intelligence.

Sunny's face turned green with anger. "Katherine! What do you mean? I'm very smart!"

Katherine ignored him, humming a tune as she leisurely walked away alone.

Sunny stood there with a sullen expression, clenching his fists in defiance. He thought, 'Hmph! It's just getting into a good college. How hard can it be? Katherine, just wait and see!'

When Katherine returned, she saw Alex sitting under a sunshade, chatting idly with Hilton and a few other men. She was actually quite reluctant to go over, knowing that Hilton would definitely tease her and Alex again.

But Alex had already seen her, and it wouldn't be good to ignore him.

Katherine sighed and walked over. "Alex, I'm back."

Alex held a cup of coffee, took a small sip, and looked at her indifferently. "What did you talk about?"

Katherine shook her head in boredom. "Nothing much. Just some childish nonsense, not worth mentioning."

Alex's brow furrowed. Katherine had just said she would tell him everything when she got back. Was she just placating him?

Hilton, smiling, patted the seat next to him. "Katherine, come sit down and chat with us!"

Katherine glanced at Hilton, not wanting to become the subject of his teasing.

At that moment, Teresa came running over excitedly. "Katherine! Katherine! Come on, I'll take you to pick a horse. We can race while it's still cool in the morning. It'll be too hot by noon!"

Katherine looked at Teresa, then turned to Alex, seeking his permission. "Alex, can I go?"

Although she wasn't the obedient type, she was here with Alex today to play the role of his wife and naturally had to respect his opinion.

If Alex allowed her, she could go there.

Alex was still annoyed that she hadn't honestly told him what Sunny had said, but hearing her obedient request now softened his mood a bit.

With a strict yet indulgent look, Alex nodded slightly. "Go have fun."

"Thank you, Alex!" Katherine smiled and turned to run off with Teresa to the stables to pick a horse.

Alex sipped his coffee, watching Katherine leave, his gaze lingering for a long time.

Hilton, seeing Alex's uncharacteristic behavior, teased, "Alex, I've noticed you've become a bit soft lately! What? Has Katherine tamed you already?"

Alex shot him a cold look. "Do you have a problem with that?"

Hilton shrugged and said, "No. I'm just curious about what kind of magic Katherine has to win you over!"

Alex's expression remained indifferent, but there was a hint of warning in his eyes. "You'd better curb your curiosity about other people's wives."

Issac chimed in, "Hilton just needs a good beating!"

Hilton crossed his legs. "Issac, just because you were once put in your place by a woman doesn't mean you should curse me!"

Issac's face darkened. "You have a death wish?"

Jonathan stood up, laughing. "Alright, let's not just sit here. Let's go horseback riding and have a race ourselves?"

Hilton lazily leaned back in his wicker chair. "Jonathan, you guys go ahead. I don't like the sun!"

Jonathan laughed helplessly. "Hilton, you organized this outing, and now you're not participating? What kind of man is afraid of a little sun?"

Issac coldly added, "He's just being fussy. You didn't know?"

Hilton clicked his tongue. "Issac, why are you insulting me!"

In the stables, among the hundreds of fine horses, Katherine immediately picked out a white horse with a black spot on its forehead.

As she walked over to lead the white horse out, she heard someone say, "You can't handle that horse. Better pick another one!"

It was Sophie's voice.
