Chapter 762 The Timing of His Amnesia Is Too Convenient
"That's not true!" Bernard felt a pang of heartache seeing Katherine's red eyes. "Katherine, he's not the Alex you used to know. He doesn't remember you. I'm afraid you won't be able to handle it."
Katherine curled her lips sarcastically, "You helped him hide it from me, which makes you just as guilty! I won't trust you anymore."
With that, she turned to leave, intending to catch up with Alex and get to the bottom of it.
Bernard pulled her back, holding her tightly in his arms, gently stroking her hair to calm her down. "Katherine! Calm down. Calm down, please."
Katherine's heaving shoulders gradually settled. She took a deep breath with her eyes closed and asked, "Why? Why is he with Sophia?"
Seeing that Katherine had finally calmed down a bit, Bernard truthfully explained, "Alex isn't really with Sophia. He's being controlled by her and has no freedom. However, he has indeed lost his memory and doesn't remember anything from the past, including you."
Katherine was silent.
Taking advantage of her calmness, Bernard put his arm around her shoulders and led her back to the suite, to avoid running into Sophia and Alex again.
Back in the suite, Bernard and Katherine stood by the hotel’s floor-to-ceiling window as he disclosed everything he knew to her.
After listening, Katherine's face showed no obvious emotion. She just quietly looked out the window.
Downstairs was the hotel garden, featuring beautifully manicured plants and charming fountains.
Next to the fountain, Sophia was pushing Alex, who was in a wheelchair, and a child was with them.
Katherine squinted her eyes. "So, that child next to him is also mine? I gave birth to three children back then?"
At this point, Bernard couldn't hide it from her anymore.
He nodded, "Yes."
However, he didn't tell Katherine about Julian and George being switched, fearing it would further upset her.
Katherine nodded calmly. "You all conspired to hide this from me, and you did a great job! If Sunny hadn't called me here today, I guess you wouldn't have told me any of this."
Bernard was silent. He had to admit that if Katherine hadn't run into Alex today, he would have kept it hidden for a while longer.

Katherine just stared downstairs in silence for a long time, then looked at her watch. "I need to pick up my kids. I'm leaving!"
At this moment, Bernard couldn't let her leave alone and followed her out. "I'll go with you to pick them up."
Katherine didn't refuse or stop him. "You can come with me, but don't let that family of three out of your sight! I haven't figured out how to deal with this yet."
Bernard said, "Don't worry, Billy is watching them. They won't get away."
Katherine sneered, "I hope so!"
Sunny finally understood what was going on. The man living with Sophia was the long-lost Alex!

Sunny muttered to himself as he followed Bernard and Katherine into the car to pick up the kids from preschool.
