Chapter 926 Introduce Him to Mom
Alex walked around the desk to her side, naturally took the cup of coffee from her hand, and took a sip, "Where are you taking me later?"
Katherine said, "You'll know when we get there! Let me first brief you on the company's situation over the past three years!"
Alex placed his large hand on her head and ruffled her hair, "No need, I already got most of it during the meeting. Now, you can just take me directly!"
Katherine looked up at him, feeling secretly annoyed. She thought Alex was really good at stirring her emotions. Even a simple phrase like "take me" sounded so ambiguous.
After swatting away the large hand rubbing her head, Katherine stood up, grabbed his tie, and gently tugged, "Then let's go!"
Alex put down the coffee cup and let Katherine pull him out of the CEO's office.
The first person to be surprised was the secretary at the door. Katherine was so domineering, pulling Alex away like she was leading a big dog!
Then, the entire company was shocked. They watched Katherine pull Alex into the elevator with a mix of amazement and admiration.
So impressive!
After the elevator door closed, Katherine let go of his tie.
However, because of the tugging, Alex's tie had tightened quite a bit. He straightened up and loosened his tie himself.
"Katherine, you're not giving me any dignity. How am I supposed to manage the employees in the company in the future?"
Katherine glanced at him disdainfully, "You didn't give me any dignity yesterday or today!"
Alex raised an eyebrow with a smirk, "What do you mean? When did I not give you dignity?"
Katherine said, "I won't mention yesterday! This morning, you told Grandma to let me sleep in because I was too tired yesterday. You deliberately made her misunderstand us."
She couldn't bring herself to say the rest.
Alex, however, laughed out loud, "Misunderstand us about what? Hmm?"
Katherine had to admit, when it came to shamelessness, she really couldn't beat Alex!
"Nothing!"
Alex put his arm around her shoulder and leaned close to her ear, "Was it wrong for me to let you sleep in? Fine, from now on, I'll make sure you don't sleep at all, not for the whole night, okay?"
Katherine felt her scalp tingle again, "Enough! Be serious, okay? There's a camera in the elevator. Aren't you afraid your employees will see?"
Alex didn't care about being seen. There was nothing shameful about teasing his wife. But he knew that if he kept teasing her, she would really get angry and bite him, so he restrained himself and stopped.
He straightened up and cleared his throat, "Alright, I'll be serious! Katherine, where are we going next?"
Katherine said, "Unity Medical Center!"
Hearing they were going to the hospital, Alex looked a bit nervous, "What's wrong? Why are we going to the hospital? Are you feeling unwell? Let me check!"
Katherine shook her head, "I'm not unwell, just taking you to meet someone!"
The elevator door opened, and Katherine took Alex's hand and led him out and into the car.

Since reuniting with Katherine, Claire's condition had improved a lot, but she still had some negative effects. She often stared blankly at the door, hoping Katherine would come.
Nora had just brought a bowl of oatmeal to Claire. Seeing Claire not taking it and still staring at the door, she sighed and said, "Claire, stop looking. Katherine must be busy. She'll come when she's done."
Claire snapped out of it and took the oatmeal from Nora.
Nora shook her head helplessly and sat down on the chair next to her.
At that moment, there was a knock on the door.
Claire, who was about to take a bite of oatmeal, immediately looked up, staring expectantly at the door.
Linda quickly ran to open the door!
As soon as she opened the door, she saw Katherine!
"Katherine, you're finally here! You have no idea, Claire has been waiting for you!"
Katherine nodded and explained, "I've been busy the past two days. I just found some time."
Linda was happy and wanted to pull Katherine in, but she noticed that Katherine's hand was being held by someone else.
Only then did she realize that Katherine wasn't alone!
Following the large hand, Linda looked up and her eyes widened, "Trevor. You can walk?"
Alex didn't look pleased when he saw Sophia's half-sister. Although Nora and Linda hadn't done anything to him like Sophia had.
Alex ignored Linda and just held Katherine's hand tighter.
Hearing Linda call out Trevor's name in surprise, Nora also came over to look, and she was just as shocked!
Katherine knew Alex didn't like people associated with Brent and Sophia, so she didn't force him to greet them. She just smiled politely at Nora and Linda.
"Hello, Nora. I'm here to see my mom."
Nora snapped out of it and quickly nodded, "Come in! She's been waiting for you!"
Katherine held Alex's hand and led him into the room, coming to Claire's bedside.
During this time, Nora and Linda kept staring at Alex's legs, shocked that they had fully recovered!
On the bed, Claire looked at Katherine, then at Alex, who was holding Katherine's hand, and understood everything.
"Laura, you're here!"
Katherine nodded and pulled Alex forward, "Mom, he is the one I told you about!"
The one? Hearing Katherine refer to him like that, Alex frowned slightly, feeling a bit unhappy.
But in front of Claire, he needed to be polite. He bowed slightly and smiled faintly, "Hello. I came in a hurry and didn't prepare a gift, sorry."
"It's okay, no need to be so formal." Claire looked at Alex again, her eyes showing approval of his appearance.
She had heard of Alex but had never seen him before.
She knew Alex was the man Sophia had forcibly kept by her side!
In Markovia, Sophia had hidden him well, almost not letting outsiders see him.
No wonder Sophia was obsessed with him. Alex was indeed handsome.
The atmosphere became quiet until Linda's exclamation broke the silence.
