Chapter 810 Mommy's Mommy
Linda frowned as she walked up to Sophia, looked up at her much taller sister, and extended her hand, saying, "Alright, then give me my painting back now!"
Sophia didn't see any issue with the painting and didn't want to argue with Linda in front of Brent. After all, she had just promised Brent to get along with Linda.
So, she handed the painting back to Linda without hesitation.
Linda took the painting and rolled her eyes at Sophia, then handed the painting to the anxious and angry George in front of everyone, "Here! The painting I gave you, take it!"
George took the painting back, his face looking a bit better, and pouted, "Thank you, Auntie Linda!"
"You're welcome!" Linda nodded and then turned to Brent, "Dad, see how polite and well-behaved Julian is? Some people just don't know how to raise their kids!"
Brent's face turned slightly awkward.
Sophia, catching the sarcasm in Linda's words, clenched her teeth. "You!"
Linda completely ignored Sophia, took George by the hand, "Let's go, Julian, I'll take you to find your dad!"
George nodded obediently, "Okay!"
Then, he followed Linda out, leaving Sophia alone to face Brent's scrutiny.
Not far from the suite, Linda looked back to make sure Sophia hadn't followed. She then whispered to George, "I know you're not Julian!"
George's expression froze, his body stiffened, and he looked at Linda in shock and guilt.
Seeing his reaction, Linda was even more certain of her suspicion!
"I can tell, you hate Sophia as much as I do, right?"
From the beginning, George had a good impression of Linda and believed she wasn't a bad person, so, he decided to drop the pretense and nodded honestly.
Linda smiled, "I knew it!"
George was a bit puzzled, "How did you know?"
"When I first gave you the painting, you happily said you wanted to give it to your mom. I thought you meant Sophia! But when I saw you didn't want Sophia to touch the painting just now, I realized the mom you mentioned wasn't Sophia!"
"Auntie Linda, although you're not really my aunt, can I ask you to keep this a secret?"
Linda gave him a reassuring glance. "Don't worry! I won't say anything. If I wanted to, I would have already!"
George nodded, feeling relieved. "Thank you!"
Linda then asked, "Can you tell me how you ended up here? Where is the real Julian?"
George scratched his head in frustration, "We were accidentally switched that day. The real Julian should be at my house now."
He explained the situation to Linda, who listened in disbelief. How could such a coincidence happen? And the two kids even looked exactly alike!
This matter was definitely not simple.
Linda suddenly had another suspicion, "Do you have a picture of your mom? I'd like to see what she looks like!"
George shook his head, "I don't have one with me now, but I can tell you, my mommy is very beautiful!"
Linda could imagine that she must be a very beautiful woman; otherwise, she couldn't have such a good-looking child.
After sending George to their suite door, Linda didn't ask any more questions, "Alright, go find your dad! Don't worry, I won't tell anyone about you."
George nodded, thanked her again, and went into the suite obediently.
Watching George go in, Linda stood alone in the hallway, lost in thought.
She felt that the child's face resembled someone she had met when she was young. She couldn't remember exactly who, but when she heard George describe how he was switched and came here, a memory from years ago suddenly flashed in her mind.
That year, Brent and Nora had a fight, and Nora left home with her in anger. They had a car accident on the way, and Nora was in critical condition, needing a blood transfusion.
Nora had a rare blood type, and the hospital's blood supply was critically low, urgently needing a donor.
At the most critical moment, a beautiful lady appeared like an angel and donated enough blood to save Nora's life!
That beautiful lady's face was still vivid in her mind, and George's and Julian's features resembled that lady.
Could it be that Julian's biological mother was the beautiful lady who saved Nora's life years ago?
George took the painting to the bedroom to find Trevor.
Trevor sat alone in his wheelchair on the balcony, enjoying the breeze.
"Dad."
George approached the balcony cautiously, not wanting to startle Trevor.
Trevor had already heard George coming in but didn't turn around.
Hearing George call him, he turned his head and responded gently, "Why did you come back alone?"
George hid the painting behind his back and said mysteriously, "Dad, I've got something great. Next time Mom comes over, you can give it to her. She'll be really happy!"
Trevor raised an eyebrow in puzzlement, "Oh? What's going to make your mom so happy?"
George grinned and revealed the hidden painting. "Dad, look! It's this painting!"
Trevor glanced at the landscape painting George had unfolded. It was well-done, but he couldn't see anything particularly special about it.
"Does your mommy like this painting?"
George nodded vigorously, "Yes! Mom loves this artist's work! If you give this to her, she'll be very happy and will like you more!"
Trevor patted George's head affectionately, appreciating his good intentions. George didn't know that he and his mommy were already married.
"Tell me, why does your mommy love this artist's work so much?"
George didn't intend to hide it from Trevor, "Well, because this artist... Dad, my mommy doesn't allow us to tell anyone about this. I'm only telling you, so you can't betray me!"
Trevor nodded, "Don't worry, I won't."
George then said, "Because this artist might be my grandma, my mommy's mommy!"
