Chapter 569 Don't Touch My Girlfriend
"Mr. Perez is right, Alex would set everything up just right for me, but I don't wanna be under Alex's wing forever. I wanna grow on my own and get some experience," Teresa said.
Frank liked her attitude. "That's the spirit. Was that dude just now hitting on you?"
Teresa was caught off guard and explained, "Nah, he just asked me to help him bind some documents 'cause his tool was busted."
Frank didn't buy it. "He's pretty good, top grad from a fancy school, and not bad looking either. You might wanna think about it. Our company doesn't ban office romances!"
Teresa's eyes flickered, feeling a weird kind of humiliation, but she didn't get mad. She just nodded, "If he really likes me, I'll think about it. Thanks, Mr. Perez, for worrying about my love life."
Frank paused, then smirked after a couple of seconds, "Alright, get back to work! If anyone comes looking for me, tell 'em I'm in Ms. Hawthorne's office."
"Got it!" Teresa replied.
Frank headed towards Ambrosia's office, tugging at his tie, feeling a bit stifled.
The CEO's office and the VP's office were just a few steps apart.
Given Frank and Ambrosia's relationship, Frank never knocked and just barged in, "Ambrosia, did Katherine call you? I don't know why I feel—"
Before he could finish, he was stunned by the steamy scene in the office!
Ambrosia was being kissed against the big glass window.
And the person pinning her against the glass was someone Frank knew, Sunny from the Mitchell family, who was still in school!
Seeing Frank burst in, Ambrosia calmly pushed Sunny away and straightened her clothes. She sat down in her chair, took a sip of her coffee, and looked up at Frank, "What do you feel?"
Frank snapped back to reality. "I just feel a bit uneasy, worried that Katherine might be getting pushed around by Alex!"
Ambrosia adjusted her gold-rimmed glasses. "I'm a bit worried too. I'll call Katherine in a bit to check on her."
But Frank had already forgotten his original point, his eyes playfully fixed on the fresh hickey on Ambrosia's neck. He walked over and poked it. "Ambrosia, didn't know you had it in you to be so wild!"
Ambrosia frowned but before she could say anything, a hand reached over and slapped Frank's hand away!
Sunny, with a jealous look, said, "What are you touching for!"
Frank, instead of getting mad, laughed, looking at the young and fiery Sunny with interest, "Can't I touch it? What were you just kissing?"
Sunny, young and fiery but shy about being caught kissing, blushed at the teasing and said arrogantly, "I'm not like you! Don't compare me to you, and don't touch her again!"
Frank raised an eyebrow. "Not like me? How so? Aren't you a man?"
Sunny blushed even more. "My relationship with her is different!"
Frank's smile deepened. "Oh really? What's your relationship with her? How come I don't know about it?"
Sunny, too embarrassed to say it himself, nudged Ambrosia, who was sipping coffee beside him, "Tell him what our deal is!"
Naturally, Frank turned his gaze to Ambrosia. "What's the deal?"
Ambrosia, with a calm expression, took a sip of coffee and said, "No deal."
Frank laughed, enjoying the drama, and looked at Sunny, "Did you hear that? Ambrosia said there's no deal between you two!"
Without Frank's instigation, Sunny was already fuming at Ambrosia's answer. "No deal? We did stuff that couples do that day!"
The more he spoke, the redder his face got, and the harder it was to continue. Sunny didn't even know what he was doing!
Ambrosia's brows furrowed with irritation, and she sternly scolded, "Shut up! If you can't talk properly, then don't talk! Get out of my way and don't mess with my work!"
Sunny, too angry to speak, plopped down on a chair nearby, sulking.
Ambrosia didn't spare him a glance, looking up at Frank. "Do you have any other business?"
Frank, amused by Sunny, leaned in close to Ambrosia and whispered, "Ambrosia, you're really wicked! He's still a kid!"
Ambrosia shot him a sharp look. "He's an adult! You think I want this? I can't shake him off! It's driving me nuts!"
Frank chuckled, "When did this happen? I don't remember you having any contact with Sunny."
Ambrosia rubbed her temples. "That day at the hotel, after you left, he showed up."
Frank, very curious, said, "And then you two..."
Ambrosia cut him off, "Stop it, don't let your imagination run wild. I was just teasing him that day. I was forced!"
Frank looked skeptical.
Because Frank and Ambrosia were so familiar with each other, they never avoided suspicion, and unconsciously got a bit too close while talking.
Normally, this was fine, but today, under Sunny's watchful eyes, it felt almost criminal!
Seeing Frank so close to Ambrosia, the sulking Sunny was angry. He stood up and pointed at Frank, "Why are you getting all up in her face? She's not deaf; she can hear you just fine from over there!"
Frank, not one for manners, seeing Sunny getting angrier, deliberately hugged Ambrosia closer, "I like it, so what? Before she knew you, we were like this every day, sometimes even hooking up! Sunny, you're a bit late!"
"You..." Sunny, like a cat with its fur standing on end, rushed over to scratch, "Go away! Let go of her!"
Frank picked Ambrosia up. "I won't let go, what can you do about it?"
"Are you crazy? Why are you hugging my girlfriend! Let go of her! Don't touch my girlfriend!" In his panic, Sunny blurted out their relationship that he was too shy to admit earlier.
Frank, having achieved his goal, laughed and put the scowling Ambrosia down, "So she's your girlfriend? Sunny, you should've said so earlier! If I'd known, I wouldn't have touched your girlfriend!"
Sunny, blushing, walked over and pulled Ambrosia to his side, "If you touch her again, I'll make trouble for you!"
