Chapter 845 The Special Examination Room
There were noticeably fewer people here than during a typical consultation.
Katherine wondered what Sophia was up to this time and leaned against the door of the consultation room to listen.
Fortunately, the soundproofing in this hospital wasn't great, and she could hear everything being said inside.
Inside the consultation room, Sophia spoke very politely, "Dr. Tackett, I made an appointment with you yesterday to bring my husband in for a check-up on his legs. I wanted to see if there's any chance he could stand again."
The doctor nodded, "You are Mrs. Turner, right? We are all set up here, and we can take him directly for the examination now."
Sophia gratefully said, "Thank you, Dr. Tackett!"
Then she gently spoke to Trevor, who was sitting in the wheelchair, "Trevor, let Dr. Tackett give you a thorough check-up! He is the most renowned orthopedic doctor in the field. If there's any hope, he might be able to cure your legs!"
Trevor, sitting in the wheelchair, had no choice and responded indifferently as usual.
He didn't believe Sophia genuinely wanted to get his legs checked. If she truly hoped for his recovery, she would have found the best doctors for him long ago for examination, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Not waited until now!
Outside the door, Katherine and Bernard exchanged glances. They both heard the conversation inside and didn't believe Sophia had good intentions.
The main reason Sophia could keep Alex by her side was that Alex couldn't stand on his legs and had no way to escape her.
She was so afraid of losing Alex; how could she genuinely want to cure his legs? There must be some conspiracy!
Soon, they heard the sound of a wheelchair being pushed out, getting closer to the door.
They quickly reacted and hid in a concealed spot.
Just after they hid, the door of the consultation room opened, and a nurse pushed Alex out, taking him to a special examination room diagonally opposite.
Sophia did not come out.
Katherine found it even more suspicious. She stepped out from her hiding spot, hesitating whether to go to the special examination room to find Alex or to listen to what Sophia and the doctor would talk about next.
While hesitating, Bernard pulled her to the door of the consultation room, where they heard Sophia and the doctor talking.
"Dr. Tackett, did you arrange everything as I instructed?"
"Mrs. Turner, rest assured, everything is arranged as you wanted!"
"That's good! But, with so many people in the hospital, won't they be interrupted?"
"Don't worry! These examination rooms are abandoned, and usually, no one comes here. I've prepared everything inside, and we will definitely be able to collect your husband's sperm smoothly for the artificial insemination procedure later."
"Thank you for your trouble!"
Outside the consultation room, Katherine and Bernard realized Sophia's true intentions!
She didn't bring Alex here to check his legs; she wanted to collect his sperm and have a child through artificial insemination.
And all of this was happening without Alex's knowledge or consent!
Katherine clenched her fists in anger, unable to imagine what kind of perverse treatment Alex would face in that special examination room!
She didn't want to waste any time and turned to rush into the special examination room to find him.
However, Bernard grabbed her and pulled her into another empty storage room.
It was a close call; just as they hid in the storage room, Sophia came out of the consultation room.
Rolf, wearing a white coat, escorted her out, "Mrs. Turner, you can take a walk nearby. We will complete what you asked for in forty minutes."
Sophia glanced complicatedly at the special examination room, remained silent for a moment, and instructed, "Be gentle with him."
Rolf smiled and nodded, "Don't worry! We advocate for voluntary action. If he doesn't respond, we will intervene."
"Alright, I'll leave it to you then!" Sophia said with a complex expression and then turned to leave.
Watching Sophia leave, Rolf showed a cold smile and walked towards the special examination room.
Katherine and Bernard saw everything through the crack in the door!
Katherine couldn't bear it any longer, "Mr. Mitchell, why are you stopping me? Didn't you hear what Sophia is planning to do? I have to save him!"
Bernard pressed her shoulder firmly, "We'll save him, but we can't just barge in. We don't know what's going on inside. If there's danger, not only will we fail to save him, but you might also get hurt!"
Katherine couldn't calm down, "I can't care about that now! Who knows what perverse methods that crazy woman has arranged to torment him!"
Bernard said, "Sophia wants him and wants to have his child. She won't let him be in physical danger! Katherine, calm down. I'm here, and I will help you save him. He will be fine."
Bernard pointed to the window in the storage room, "Look, the balcony outside is connected. We can sneak in from there and observe the situation first!"
Katherine looked in the direction Bernard pointed. Indeed, there was a balcony outside the storage room, though it was covered in dust!
The dust was a good sign, indicating no one came here and they wouldn't be discovered!
Katherine nodded, "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!"
She couldn't wait and quickly walked towards the balcony, with Bernard closely following behind her.
Special Examination Room.
After being pushed in by the nurse Clio Webb, Trevor saw that the empty examination room had no equipment, and a hint of vigilance flashed in his eyes.
"What kind of examination is this for?"
Clio pushed him to a cabinet and handed him a glass of water with a smile, "Mr. Turner, please have some water first. Dr. Rolf will come in a moment and explain all the examination procedures to you."
Trevor took the glass of water and glanced at it. The water was colorless, odorless, and transparent, showing no signs of anything unusual.
But he remained very cautious and didn't drink it.
Clio stood by, watching him. Seeing that he didn't drink, she smiled and said, "Mr. Turner, you need to drink more water! There will be a urine test later, and you need to drink more water to urinate smoothly."
Trevor looked up and glanced at Clio, noticing something off in her eyes.
He said, "Thank you for the reminder, but I drank plenty of water before coming here, so I don't need to drink more."
