Sandra held Katherine's hand tightly with relief. "Katherine, I made some mistakes too. I didn't tell you the truth about Alex and Sophia's marriage registration. I hope you can forgive me."
Katherine looked at her calmly and smiled. "Sandra, it's all in the past."
She had already come to terms with it.
The marriage registration happened before she met Alex. At that time, they were only connected through a business relationship, and Alex didn't need to explain it to her.
Over time, their feelings for each other grew.
Sandra patted Katherine's hand with a sigh of relief. "Katherine, I'm glad you don't blame me. I know you're nice; you don't dwell on little things. Katherine smiled at her and then turned to Fiona. "Fiona, accompany Sandra back. Take good care of the grandparents before Alex returns."
"Don't worry! I will!" Fiona was no longer the arrogant person she used to be; she had matured a lot.
After seeing Sandra and Fiona off, Katherine took Charles for a walk in the garden to enjoy the sunshine.
Thinking that Alex would be back tomorrow, she couldn't help but smile whenever she looked up at the sky.
Before going to bed at night, she sent Alex a few casual messages, but Alex didn't reply. She figured he must have already boarded the plane.
The next morning, after breakfast, Bernard went to the office as usual, but today he took Sunny along to handle some study abroad arrangements at the school.
After they left, Katherine, feeling full and satisfied, took Charles for a walk in the garden to enjoy the sun.
Before long, a servant approached her and said, "Ms. Galatea, someone is here to see you."
Katherine, who was playing with Charles on the lawn, perked up. "Who is it?"
At this time, she thought it might be Alex returning from Markovia. It was a bit earlier than expected; perhaps the plane landed ahead of schedule.
However, the servant replied, "It's Ms. Harris. She seems to have brought you some gifts!"
Hearing that it wasn't Alex, the light in Katherine's eyes dimmed. "Okay, bring her to the living room to wait for me. Also, tell the kitchen to prepare a bit more for lunch; she will probably stay for lunch."
"Yes, Ms. Galatea." The servant bowed respectfully and went to carry out the instructions.
Katherine also took Charles back to meet Teresa.

Teresa smiled and said, "Katherine, this is a maternity package I prepared for you. Aren't you about to have a baby?"
Katherine tugged at the corner of her mouth and looked at the huge package. "I've already bought and prepared everything I need. Bringing such a big box to the hospital won't leave any room for it. You should return what you can."
She had indeed prepared all kinds of maternal and baby supplies, and Bernard had also bought plenty for her.
Teresa pouted. "Katherine, actually, only the suitcase is from me. All the baby supplies inside were bought by Alex himself!"
Katherine was a bit surprised and raised her eyebrows. "When did he buy them?"
Teresa replied, "It was during those days after he found you, and you didn't want to talk to him. Alex asked me to take him to several baby stores, and he bought the best of everything. However, because of what happened with Sophia before, he thought you wouldn't want to accept his things. So, he left them with me, saying I should bring them to you when you were about to give birth, to avoid you throwing them away if he gave them to you too early!"
Katherine felt a bit touched and nodded slightly. "Alright, I'll keep them."
Hearing that Katherine accepted the items, Teresa smiled. "You just let me return them, after learning they're from Alex, you're keeping them? Katherine, you really do like Alex a lot!"
Katherine's cheeks turned slightly red. Since she had already decided to reconcile with Alex, she didn't bother to hide it. "Yes! I both hate and love that old man Alex!"
Teresa blinked in confusion. "What do you mean by both hate and love?"
Katherine shrugged. "It's when you know he's not your ideal type, and some of his personality traits, temper, and behaviors can be very annoying, but because it's him, you find it all somehow acceptable."
Teresa thought for a moment, then tilted her head slightly. "Alex isn't your ideal type? Then what is your ideal type?"
Feeling a bit tired from standing, Katherine led Charles to the sofa and sat down. "I used to like the more easygoing type, not the domineering kind."
Teresa sat down next to her. "Alex really isn't the easygoing type; he's very assertive! He really is quite different from your ideal type!"
Katherine spread her hands. "There's nothing I can do! We already have a child together, so I'll just make do with him!"
Teresa giggled. She knew that when Katherine said "make do," she didn't really mean it.
Suddenly, she noticed something moving on Katherine's round belly and curiously placed her hand gently on it, feeling the baby move inside.
