Chapter 791 Are You Jealous?
Katherine rolled her eyes at him, "I just find it amusing. You used to treat me like this! Now it's my turn to tease you!"
Trevor furrowed his brows slightly and remained silent.
He still couldn't remember how he used to treat her, so he had no way to refute her.
At that moment, a phone rang, and Katherine picked it up.
Since the balcony was quiet, Trevor could hear the voice on the other end of her phone even without the speaker on. It was a man.
"Katherine, where are you?"
Katherine glanced thoughtfully at Trevor before answering, "At a friend's place. What's up? Do you need something?"
Jonathan chuckled, "Didn't you say you wanted to check out that piece of land our Mostow Group has over at Silvershade Vale? Come on, I'll take you to see it now."
Katherine looked at her watch, "Sure, where should we meet?"
Jonathan asked, "Where are you? I'll come pick you up!"
Katherine replied, "No need, I'll come to you."
"Alright, I'll send you the location."
"Okay."
After hanging up with Jonathan, Katherine put her phone in her pocket, looking like she was about to leave.
Trevor looked at Katherine, "Got a date?"
Katherine stood up, "Got something to do, I'm heading out! Be careful when you take a bath later, and take care of George for me!"
With that, Katherine walked to the edge of the balcony and gracefully climbed over it.
Watching Katherine leave, Trevor felt a heavy, inexplicable irritation in his chest.
The call just now was from a man, and from the way he spoke, it didn't seem like it was just a working relationship.
They seemed quite familiar with each other.
When George came back after preparing the bath, he couldn't see Katherine anywhere and looked around for her.
"Dad, where's Mommy?"
"She left," Trevor said dejectedly.
George was a bit disappointed, "Why did Mommy leave without saying goodbye to me?"
Trevor gave a bitter smile, "She had to rush off to see some guy. I guess telling us wasn't a priority."
George was taken aback and tilted his head, sensing that the usually aloof Trevor was acting a bit off, "Dad, are you jealous?"
Jealous?
Trevor suddenly realized, was this unpleasant feeling of jealousy?
Katherine arrived at a bar and picked up Jonathan.
Jonathan got into the passenger seat of Katherine's car, buckling his seatbelt as he said, "Katherine, thanks for picking me up!"
Katherine shook her head, indicating it was nothing, then glanced at the bar's sign, "Mr. Mostow, you sure have a colorful life, coming to a place like this to drink during the day?"
Jonathan didn't bother to hide it, "A few friends wanted to have a drink here. I barely had a sip before calling you! Just found an excuse to slip out."
Katherine wasn't really interested in Jonathan's affairs and didn't react further, only asking, "Heading to Silvershade Vale?"
Jonathan nodded, "Yes."
Katherine didn't say anything more and focused on driving towards Silvershade Vale.
Jonathan was always a talkative person, able to keep a conversation going whether there was something to talk about or not.
"Katherine, you weren't at the office. Which friend were you visiting?"
Katherine had no intention of revealing Alex's appearance to outsiders, "Would you know the friend if I told you?"
Jonathan replied, "I was just concerned about you!"
Katherine replied, "Thanks for your concern! But let's stick to business today."
Jonathan sighed, "Katherine, you're the most dismissive girl I've ever met!"
Katherine was indifferent, "I'm not dismissive of you, just not interested in you."
Jonathan held his forehead, "That's even worse! Katherine, do you have to be so blunt? I'm heartbroken!"
Katherine, annoyed by his chatter, sternly reminded him, "Sit tight!"
Before Jonathan could react, Katherine floored the gas pedal, speeding the car up.
Katherine drove to the destination as fast as possible, leaving Jonathan feeling almost nauseous!
Katherine got out of the car as if nothing had happened and looked over the large piece of land, "Which part belongs to your Mostow Group?"
However, no one answered her for a while.
Katherine turned around in surprise to see Jonathan leaning against a tree, dry heaving.
Jonathan took a moment to recover, then patted his chest and stood up, "Katherine, where did you learn to drive? You handle a car like you're piloting a jet!"
Katherine remained expressionless, "Mr. Mostow, pull yourself together. . We have work to do."
"Katherine, you really have no sympathy for me!" Jonathan walked over to her, pointing, "That small section over there belongs to our Mostow Group."
Katherine looked in the direction he pointed, "It's not a big area."
Jonathan didn't deny it, "It's not big, but the location is great, isn't it? Combining it with the land you recently acquired would be a perfect addition!"
Katherine squinted, thinking for a moment, "Why don't you sell your land to me directly?"
Jonathan shook his head, "That's not possible! Katherine, you know I've always intended to collaborate with the Melville Group to develop Silvershade Vale. If I wanted to sell the land to you, I would have told you earlier."
Katherine really thought the Mostow Group's land was too small. Using such a small piece of land as a condition for a joint development was really not enough.
She might agree, but would the board of directors in her group agree?
However, the location of that small piece of land was indeed good. Combined with the land she acquired, it could be turned into a scenic viewing platform!
She walked over to take a closer look, hoping to find more advantages.
Jonathan followed her slowly, "Katherine, I'm not in a hurry. Take your time to look and consider."
Katherine nodded, walking step by step towards the land, not noticing a woman observing her from a distance.
Sophia returned in the late afternoon.
Passing by a supermarket, she had her driver stop so she could buy some groceries.
Recently, she had really taken to cooking for Trevor because every time she called him over to eat, he would respond with a rare, gentle "Thank you."
This phrase might not seem special, but to Sophia, it was a rare display of warmth from Trevor!
And seeing the man she loved eat the food she made with her own hands, filled her heart with satisfaction.
