Chapter 199 Sherry Enters the Inner Chamber
Anton listened with a surprised expression, then immediately put on a respectful and kind smile.
He thought, 'So it's Mrs. Melville's parents and sister. They are indeed distinguished guests; I must not neglect them!'
However, without fully confirming the identity of the visitors, Anton couldn't let them in rashly. He said, "Please wait outside for a moment. I'll go notify Mrs. Melville."
After saying that, Anton hung up the video phone, turned around, and went upstairs to personally inform Mrs. Melville of the situation.
Although Mr. Melville had specifically instructed not to disturb Mrs. Melville's sleep before he left this morning, Anton had no choice but to wake her up due to this unexpected situation.
Anton knocked on the door, waking Katherine. She frowned uncomfortably and asked groggily, "What is it?"
Anton respectfully replied from outside the door, "Mrs. Melville, a middle-aged couple and a woman about your age are outside, saying they want to see you. They claim to be your parents and sister, but I'm not sure about their identity, so I came to ask you."

Katherine suddenly opened her eyes, fully awake!

How did they know she was here?

Katherine sat up, casually ran her slender fingers through her messy hair, thought for a moment, and then instructed in a calm voice, "Anton, let them in and tell them to wait for me in the living room. I'll come down after freshening up."
Anton responded and left, "Yes, Mrs. Melville."

The two servants were taken aback, feeling rather baffled.
Initially, they had been very respectful because Anton had solemnly instructed them before they came out to greet the guests, saying the visitors were Mrs. Melville's parents and sister and should be treated with importance.
But suddenly, they were scolded out of nowhere and even threatened with dismissal, leaving them quite displeased.
Moreover, not only was her attitude rude and disrespectful, but this lady also seemed to be acting as if she owned the place, as if the Melville Manor was her home!
She was certainly taking advantage of her status as Mrs. Melville's family to throw her weight around!
However, being well-trained servants, they didn't show any unusual reactions despite their displeasure and still respectfully invited the Galatea family into the Melville Manor.
Sherry had followed Katherine to the Melville Manor once and had seen its grandeur. Still, today was her first time actually stepping inside there, and she was filled with admiration and curiosity about everything in the courtyard.
However, as she entered the inner courtyard, she seemed dissatisfied, adopting a mistress's posture, arrogantly folding her arms and looking around the simple and grand courtyard, shaking her head and nitpicking. "This house is nice, but it's a bit old and outdated! I don't like this old-fashioned and dull decoration style. When I move in, I'll definitely renovate it!
That old pine tree over there is too large and blocks the light. It needs to be cut down! The marble tiles on the ground should all be replaced with high-quality grass, like that of a golf course. I'll plant my favorite roses to create a European royal garden style that suits my celebrity image! The two servants leading the way exchanged their looks of mutual disdain and confusion.
What kind of people were Mrs. Melville's family? How could they start planning how to renovate someone else's house on their first visit?

Anton said, "Welcome to our home. Mrs. Melville is still freshening up and will be down shortly to meet you."
Sherry glared at Anton with displeasure. "You're the old man who answered the video call at the door, right?"
Anton’s kind smile stiffened at this remark. He had treated them courteously and hadn't expected such offensive remarks.
But he didn't mind, maintaining his professionalism as a butler and continuing to smile. "Yes, I am the butler of the Melville Manor. My name is Anton."
Sherry looked him over disdainfully and snorted, "The butler is too old, you should be replaced!"
Anton was taken aback, frowning in displeasure. How could this young lady be so rude?
Despite his considerable annoyance, Anton maintained his professionalism and politely said, "Please, this way..."
Before Anton could finish his polite invitation, they had already rudely walked towards the living room, strutting to the sofa as if they owned the place!
Having served the Melville family for most of his life, Anton had never seen anyone so brazen and disrespectful. Not even the high-profile guests from Janetrick who occasionally visited the Melville family were this audacious.
Today, he had truly 'seen it all.'
