Chapter 880 Apology!
Katherine walked in and glanced at Elisha, who was being comforted by Winford and Electra.
Elisha was in the same class as Charles, and she had seen him before when picking up Charles.
Although they were the same age, Elisha was much taller and stronger than Charles, not someone who would be easily beaten by Charles.
But Elisha was indeed injured.
After observing Elisha, Katherine looked up at Winford and Electra and said, "I'm sorry, I just got here and don't know the situation yet. I need to talk to my son first. Please wait a moment."
After speaking, she turned and walked towards Charles, who was standing alone in the corner.
Winford and Electra were very dissatisfied with this and frowned at Eris.
Winford said, "Can you believe her attitude? Elisha is hurt like this, and she doesn't even bring her son over to apologize. She wants to talk to him first! Talk about what? Her son isn't the one who's hurt!"
Electra said, "Doesn't your kindergarten interview the parents before admitting students? How could you let in such an uncultured parent? Your kindergarten is worse than some of the ordinary ones out there!"
Eris apologized politely again and persuaded them to wait a little longer.
Katherine didn't pay attention to what was being said over there. She walked up to Charles, squatted down slowly, and asked, "Tell Mommy, did you hit Elisha?"
Charles hung his head, nodded, and didn't speak, not daring to look up at her.
Katherine asked again, "Why did you hit him?"
Charles remained silent, his head hanging even lower.
Katherine didn't believe that Charles would bully Elisha for no reason. She reached out and pulled Charles closer, gently guiding him, "You need to tell Mommy the reason so Mommy can stand up for you! Charles, Mommy believes you wouldn't hit someone without a reason. Don't be afraid, tell Mommy what happened."
Charles looked up with red eyes, glanced at Katherine, opened his mouth as if to speak but then shook his head vigorously and suddenly pushed Katherine away, running outside.
Because Katherine was squatting, she lost her balance and fell to the ground!
She frowned, looking worried and puzzled at Charles's retreating figure.
What was wrong with Charles?
Winford said, "Ms. Thompson, did you see that? That kid is violent; he even pushed his own mother! Keeping such a child in your kindergarten is like having a ticking time bomb. If you don't expel Charles, we'll tell the other parents and withdraw from the kindergarten together!"
Electra echoed, "Exactly! That kid can't stay in the kindergarten. This time it was Elisha who got hurt; next time it will be someone else's child!"
Eris's face changed when she heard them say they would lead other parents to withdraw. She quickly said to Katherine, "Ms. Galatea, please come and apologize to them! We can't let your kid cause such a big impact on our kindergarten!"
Katherine had already stood up, patted the dust off her clothes, and walked over. After apologizing to Eris, she looked calmly at Winford and Electra.
"So far, I don't know the full story, but my son just admitted that he did hit your son. Regardless, hitting is wrong. As his mother, I apologize to you. I'm really sorry. I will personally take Elisha to the hospital for a full check-up, and I will cover all medical expenses."
But Winford was relentless, "Do you think an apology is enough? Let me tell you, Elisha is not only physically hurt but also mentally traumatized! This is all your son's fault!"
Electra echoed her husband, "Exactly!"
Katherine looked at Winford, "Do you mean we should find a psychologist for Elisha? I can arrange that."
Winford said irritably, "What psychological counseling! Do you think we lack money? We can afford a psychologist! Which child in this kindergarten lacks money?"
Katherine raised an eyebrow, "Then what do you mean?"
Winford raised his chin, "I want your son to apologize to Elisha. We might reluctantly agree to let him continue attending this kindergarten. Otherwise, this matter won't end here!"
Electra, holding her bruised and battered Elisha, nodded in agreement, "Yes! He must apologize to Elisha!"
Eris's face improved a bit when she heard that an apology would suffice. She breathed a sigh of relief and also persuaded Katherine, "Ms. Galatea, an apology from Charles would be enough. Please bring Charles over and talk to him, let him apologize!"
Katherine's face showed no obvious emotion, and she seemed calm.
After a moment of silence, Katherine said, "An apology is possible, but only if it was really Charles's fault."
Winford, hearing that Katherine was not backing down, became even more aggressive, seeing that she was alone, "Your son has beaten Elisha like this, and you still don't think it's his fault? It seems I shouldn't have given you a chance. Now, even if your son comes to apologize, it won't be enough!"
Winford turned angrily to Eris and said, "If you don't expel Charles immediately, your kindergarten will go out of business! I'll tell the other parents that your kindergarten harbors a violent child who beats others. Let's see if they will withdraw their children with us!"
Electra said, "Who would feel safe sending their child to a kindergarten where they might get beaten at any time!"
Eris panicked, "No! Don't do that! Let's talk this over!"
While calming Winford, she anxiously looked at Katherine, "Ms. Galatea, it was indeed Charles who hit someone. I'm begging you! Just let Charles come and apologize. Don't make things so difficult for us!"
Katherine said, "Ms. Thompson, I won't make things difficult for you, but I need to understand the full story before deciding whether Charles should apologize. Now, please let me see your kindergarten's surveillance footage. I want to see how these two children started fighting."
Winford, hearing this, was dissatisfied again, "What do you mean by 'started fighting'? It wasn't a fight; it was your son unilaterally beating Elisha!"
