Chapter 927 I Love You the Most
Linda's sudden remark drew everyone's attention to her.
Claire, curious, smiled and asked, "Linda, what did you just say was different?"
Linda took a few steps forward, looked at the tall Alex, and said, "I said Trevor's demeanor in front of Katherine is completely different from when he's with Sophia!"
Hearing Sophia's name, the disgust in Alex's eyes was evident.
Claire, concerned about Katherine's happiness, wanted to know if Alex was a reliable person, so she asked, "Really? How is it different?"
Linda thought for a moment and said, "His whole demeanor is completely different! Trevor is cold and rarely speaks when he's with Sophia, his eyes are lifeless, and he doesn't even bother to look at her! But with Katherine, he's so gentle, so doting, so lively, and so polite!"
'It isn't as exaggerated as Linda made it out to be! Since we arrived, Alex had only said one sentence! He wasn't that gentle, was he?' Katherine thought.
After hearing Linda's words, Claire's gaze returned to Alex, "I've heard about what happened to you. Please, have a seat!"
Alex, however, did not sit down but instead released Katherine's hand and said calmly, "Sorry, I need to excuse myself for a moment."
Leaving that sentence, Alex turned and left without giving Katherine any explanation!
Katherine was stunned and hadn't had time to catch up and ask what was wrong before Alex had already strode out of the room and disappeared!
Katherine frowned, feeling a bit uneasy, but she couldn't just leave Claire to chase after him.
Linda blinked in surprise, "What's going on? Why did Trevor leave? Did I say something wrong to make him angry?"
Nora quickly stepped forward to apologize to Katherine, "Katherine, I'm sorry! Linda speaks without thinking and might have said something that upset Trevor, I mean, Mr. Melville. I'm really sorry."
Katherine shook her head, "No! Linda didn't say anything wrong! Nora, this has nothing to do with you!"
Then, she absentmindedly sat down by Claire's bedside, "Mom, are you feeling better these past two days?"
Claire, also a bit unsettled by the recent events, shook her head, "Laura, I'm fine. What happened to him? Do you want to go find him first?"
Katherine was actually a bit angry. She brought him to introduce him to Claire, and Alex inexplicably left first!
Did he not care about her or her family?
Besides the kids, she didn't have much family left in this world! Just her most important mom, Claire, and he was so rude!
If he wanted to leave, let him leave!
"Mom, don't worry about him. He might have just gone to the restroom! Let's chat for a while; he might come back soon!"
Hearing Katherine say this, Claire felt a bit more at ease and nodded. She didn't want her presence to affect Katherine's relationship issues.
Alex left Claire's room, walking outside while taking out his phone to make a call.
After giving some instructions over the phone and hanging up, he was blocked by a figure!
"Trevor!"
Sophia's voice made Alex feel a physical revulsion. He looked up to see Sophia standing in front of him with red eyes, looking like she was about to cry.
Sophia didn't have a delicate appearance, and he had long wanted to tell her that this pitiful expression didn't suit her.
But he didn't want to say another word to Sophia and walked straight past her.
Since Sophia had come, she clearly didn't intend to give up. She suddenly opened her arms and hugged Alex's waist, crying out, "Trevor, you can't treat me like this! You can't. I love you so much. I've done so much for you; how can you not want me, Trevor?"
Her cries attracted a lot of attention and whispers.
Alex's already disgusted face showed anger, and he forcefully pried her hands off, throwing her hand aside, "Haven't you had enough?"
Sophia fell to the ground and covered her stomach, crying, "Trevor, how can you push me? I'm carrying your child! How can you treat me like this?"
Hearing Sophia's cries, the onlookers thought Alex was terrible and started pointing fingers.
Alex was not an ordinary person; his aura was too strong. With a cold glance, half of the onlookers dispersed, and the rest retreated significantly!
Not wanting to cause a scene, Alex unceremoniously grabbed Sophia's arm and dragged her into the nearby stairwell to talk!
"Ah! Trevor, you're hurting me!" Sophia whimpered as she was dragged into the stairwell, looking aggrieved.
Once inside, Alex harshly let go of her, unwilling to be close to her!
"I haven't even settled the score with you, and you dare come to me! Sophia, you trapped me for three years; what more do you want?"
Sophia looked innocent and infatuated, "Trevor, I admit I did some wrong things to keep you by my side, but that's because I love you so much! I'm the one who loves you the most in this world, not Katherine! Trevor, wake up, don't be fooled by her! In the three years you were gone, Katherine seduced many men, I have evidence!"
Hearing Sophia's slander against Katherine, Alex's eyes grew colder. He raised his hand in anger but didn't strike, because he didn't hit women, and he found her repulsive!
"I know exactly what kind of person she is! And after three years, I see clearly what kind of person you are! Sophia, enough is enough! Don't push me to destroy you completely!"
Sophia looked at him, her red eyes not from grievance but from a kind of mad frenzy, "Enough? Trevor, tell me what enough is! I've done so much for you, calculated so meticulously, and successfully kept you by my side, but you still want to escape! How can I be content?"
"Trevor, I love you so much! You are indifferent to me, and whenever you have a chance, you run back to that bitch! Do you think she really loves you? How could she love you more than I do? No one in this world loves you more than I do! Trevor, wake up! You fool!"
