Chapter 819 They Were Silenced

Bernard said coldly, "You're really something now!"

Sunny appeared tough on the outside, but inside he was very nervous, afraid that Bernard would lose his temper and hit him.

However, although Bernard was displeased, he did not lose his temper. He simply said, "You're not getting any younger; it's time to think about marriage. But don't just do it because everyone else is."

Sunny looked serious, "I've been thinking about it for three years. I practically think about marrying Ambrosia every day!"

Bernard pinched the bridge of his nose, "You need to talk to Grandparents and Dad about this. If they support you, I won't have any objections."

Hearing Bernard say he wouldn't object, Sunny breathed a sigh of relief, "If you're on board, that's half the battle! Thanks, Bernard!"

As Sunny turned around, he saw Ambrosia coming over from the kitchen with three small water bottles.

He quickly stepped forward and said earnestly, "Ambrosia, Bernard has agreed to our matter!"

Ambrosia's face was expressionless, but being close, he could still hear her sigh helplessly.

She ignored Sunny, walked around him, and placed the three small water bottles on the table, "Katherine, give these to the kids."

Katherine nodded slightly, looking at her.

Ambrosia seemed unwilling to be the center of attention in the living room and turned back to her room.

Sunny followed her, almost getting shut out, but fortunately, he was quick and slipped in.

Watching the two of them, Katherine's eyes showed a hint of concern. After thinking for a moment, she turned to Bernard and said, "Mr. Mitchell, you don't seem to like Ambrosia as your sister-in-law?"

Bernard appeared cautious in response to Katherine's question, "It's not that I don't like her. Ms. Hawthorne is excellent in every way. I just think Sunny isn't good enough for her."

Katherine raised an eyebrow and said, "I think you just mind that Ambrosia is a few years older than Sunny!"

Hearing that Katherine was angry on behalf of her friend, Bernard felt rather helpless, "Katherine, even if I have no objections, do you really feel comfortable letting your good friend marry Sunny? Sunny can't even manage his own life; how can he be responsible for a woman, for a family?"

If she had a choice, Katherine would naturally want to find a mature and responsible man for Ambrosia, but now, she couldn't choose for Ambrosia.

Although Ambrosia seemed indifferent, Katherine could tell that Ambrosia had feelings for Sunny.

Katherine said, "Mr. Mitchell, you're not exactly young either. Can you honestly say you've got your own life all figured out?"

Bernard was stunned.

Katherine continued, "What does it even mean to have life figured out? Honestly, no one really has it all together! I used to think I had everything under control, but now? My life is a mess. Mr. Mitchell, we actually don't have feelings as pure as Sunny's! His feelings are pure and sincere, without hesitation or weighing pros and cons. Such feelings are rare these days and should be praised, not denied by us! When it comes to matters of the heart, we aren't as good as him, nor as brave."

Bernard was silent for a long time, a bitter smile appearing on his lips, "Maybe you're right. I do tend to overthink things."

Katherine said, "If they are truly in love and want to enter into marriage together, can you bear to break them apart?"

Bernard's eyes darkened, "I just said, if the family agrees, I won't have any objections."

Katherine said, "If possible, say a few good words for them with the Mitchell family and give them a chance."

Bernard stared deeply into Katherine's eyes and finally nodded in compromise.

In the room, Ambrosia took off her gold-rimmed glasses and casually placed them on the table, then sat on the couch, gently massaging her temples.

Sunny had followed her in, but he felt that Ambrosia was angry and didn't dare to get too close.

"Ambrosia, I've already talked to Bernard. He has no objections."

Ambrosia half-closed her eyes, still massaging her temples, ignoring him.

Sunny frowned and took a few steps closer, "Ambrosia, are you angry again? I've shown my utmost sincerity. What more do you want from me? I'll talk to my family about it today!"

Ambrosia still didn't speak, lazily leaning on the couch.

Seeing her indifferent attitude, Sunny was furious and plopped down next to her!

"Hey! What's with your attitude? What are you thinking? Say something! I'm trying so hard to fight for our chance to be together forever, and you don't say a word, making it seem like I'm just wishful thinking!"

Ambrosia finally made a sound, a faint chuckle.

Sunny couldn't stand this ambiguous laughter and got even angrier, "What are you laughing at? Am I that funny?"

Ambrosia opened her eyes and looked at him sideways, "Don't you think you are? Going to Bernard and saying those ridiculous things like a fool! If you don't want to be laughed at, you shouldn't say those things in front of everyone, right?"

Sunny felt both aggrieved and arrogant, "I'm just afraid you'll leave me again and want to bind us together quickly! Compared to you, what does dignity matter!"

Ambrosia paused, her cold eyes narrowing as she stared at him.

Sunny felt uncomfortable under her gaze. Crossing his arms and trying to appear natural, he said, "What are you looking at? If you want to laugh, just laugh! Anyway, I've always been a joke in your eyes! No matter what, I will marry you! No one else will do! And you can't marry anyone else but me! If you don't agree, then we'll just be miserable together..."

Before he could finish, Sunny's words were cut off!

No, they weren't just cut off; they were silenced!

Because Ambrosia suddenly leaned in, cupped his face, and started kissing him without a word!

Ambrosia's unprecedented initiative left Sunny completely stunned!
