Chapter 794 What Are You Doing in My House
Seeing that Jonathan hadn't left yet, Katherine was actually quite annoyed.
"Mr. Mostow, why are you still here? I thought you would have left on your own."
Jonathan smiled. "Kicking me out again? Didn't we agree to have dinner together?"
At this point, he glanced at his phone and continued, "It's just about five o'clock. By the time we get to the restaurant, it'll be dinner time. Shall we go?"
Katherine twitched her mouth. When did she agree to this?
Sunny, tired from fighting the pervert, asked, "Jonathan, are you and Katherine going to dinner? Why don't we all go together? Ms. Hawthorne and I were planning to have dinner too!"
Ambrosia stood silently beside Katherine.
Jonathan smiled, "Sure! Katherine, what do you think?"
Katherine kept a serious face, "You guys go ahead. I have to pick up my kids from daycare, so I can't go!"
Jonathan smiled, "We can go with you to pick up the kids first, and then we can all go to dinner. How about that?"
Katherine was about to refuse.
Sunny interrupted, "Great! I've been wanting to see my nephews! Katherine, just bring the kids and join us for dinner. It's not too late to go home afterward!"
Katherine helplessly turned to Ambrosia, "Ambrosia, what do you think?"
Ambrosia didn't hide her true feelings, "It's been a long time since I've had dinner with you."
Ever since Katherine moved to the Melville Mansion with the kids, it had indeed been a long time since they had dinner together.
Thinking of this, she nodded in agreement, "Alright, let's go pick up the kids together!"
Ambrosia's usually cold eyes showed a rare hint of a smile, and her face displayed obvious happiness.
Sunny noticed Ambrosia's expression and a touch of tenderness flashed in his eyes.
Since they had to pick up the kids, one car wouldn't be enough, so Katherine and Sunny each drove their own cars, but they swapped companions.
Katherine signaled for Ambrosia to ride in her car, while Jonathan went with Sunny.
Ambrosia had no objections, and Jonathan didn't mind either, as they would be sitting together at dinner anyway.
The only one with an opinion was Sunny, who wanted Ambrosia to ride in his car, fearing she might run away halfway.
But on second thought, Ambrosia seemed quite happy to have dinner with Katherine, so she probably wouldn't run away, right? Thinking this, he gave up and obediently followed Katherine's arrangement.
After getting in the car, Katherine drove towards the daycare and suddenly remembered something. She said to Ambrosia, "Ambrosia, give Frank a call and invite him to join us."
Ambrosia had the same thought and took out her phone to call Frank.
The call took a while to connect, ringing for a long time before being answered.
"Hello, where are you?" Ambrosia asked.
Frank's tone sounded unusually serious, "I'm at my girlfriend's house having dinner with her parents. What's up? Do you need something?"
Ambrosia frowned in disdain, "Girlfriend?"
Frank cleared his throat, "Right! What do you need?"
Frank must be putting on some act today!
Realizing it was inconvenient for Frank to talk, Ambrosia didn't ask further and simply stated her intention, "Katherine and I are picking up the kids to go to dinner. Do you want to join us?"
Frank was silent for a few seconds, "Now?"
Ambrosia replied, "We're on our way to pick up the kids now. We'll be at the restaurant in about half an hour."
Frank said, "Alright, send me the address. If I have time, I'll join you."
Ambrosia hung up the phone.
Noticing Ambrosia had ended the call, Katherine asked, "What's Frank up to?"
Ambrosia chuckled, "He said he's at his girlfriend's house having dinner with her parents!"
Katherine frowned, "What's that guy up to now?"
Ambrosia shook her head, "I don't know. He asked me to send him the restaurant address and said he'd come if he had time. Katherine, which restaurant are we going to?"
Katherine didn't know either, "Let's decide where to go first and then send him the address."
Ambrosia nodded. "Alright."
At Teresa's house.
Frank hung up the phone, put it away, and turned to help Teresa's mother wash vegetables, "Mrs. Harris, let me help you!"
Leina declined, "Frank, I overheard you on the phone. Is it something urgent? If it is, you should go take care of it!"
Frank smiled and shook his head, "It's nothing urgent. Just a friend inviting me to dinner. But honestly, Mrs. Harris, nothing out there beats your cooking!"
Leina was flattered, "Then don't go out. Stay here and enjoy what I cook!"
Frank rolled up his sleeves and reached out, "Thank you, Mrs. Harris. Let me help you wash these vegetables!"
Leina quickly stopped him, "No need! Otha and I can handle it. You go watch TV until dinner's ready."
Otha Harris, who was chopping vegetables, also nodded in agreement, "Frank, go take a break. Leina and I have got this."
Frank didn't want to miss the chance to impress, "Mr. Harris, Mrs. Harris, I need to help you with something to feel at ease."
Seeing Frank being so considerate, Leina liked him even more. To make him feel at ease, she handed him some tableware, "Then help me set the table!"
Frank smiled, "Sure."
He took the tableware from the kitchen and started setting the table.
At that moment, the door opened.
Teresa used her key to open the door and was stunned to see Frank setting the table!
After a while, she rubbed her eyes to make sure she wasn't seeing things, then walked into the house and asked in surprise, "What are you doing in my house?"
Frank held up the tableware, "Can't you see? I'm setting the table!"
Teresa looked confused, "I mean, why are you in my house?"
Frank smiled, "Your parents invited me to dinner. It would be rude not to help."
Teresa frowned, looked at him, then at the kitchen, and quickly walked towards it.
"Dad, Mom! What's going on with that guy outside? When did he come to our house?"
Hearing Teresa's voice, Leina and Otha looked up together.
Leina shook her head and scolded, "Teresa, watch your manner."
Not getting an answer and being scolded by Leina made Teresa even more upset.
"Mom! Why did you invite him to dinner? Are you that close?"
