Chapter 102 The Time for Revenge Has Not Yet Come
Katherine looked at Lillian, furrowing her brow, asking, "Lillian, are you sure?"
Lillian laughed wildly. "How could I not know the child I gave birth to? Katherine, if you think you can use this to hurt me, you're dead wrong because Sherry is indeed Joshua's child! Hahaha."
Katherine furrowed her brow slightly as if a bit annoyed, and answered, "Really? Then why would Kenny be willing to acknowledge a child you had with another man as his goddaughter?"
Mentioning Kenny made Lillian's eyes flicker, and then she glared at Katherine disdainfully, claiming, "The reason for that is none of your business, bitch! Anyway, once the paternity test results are out, you'll be in for a scolding from your father! Meanwhile, Sherry and I will receive even more of his love and care!"

The door to the hospital room was violently pushed open. Kenny walked in with a dark expression, scoffing, "Lillian, so you've been lying to me all along. Sherry isn't my child at all!"
Seeing her old lover Kenny suddenly appear, Lillian was momentarily stunned and then turned pale, asking, "Kenny, what... what are you doing here?"
Kenny snorted in disgust. "Didn't you message me that you were hurt and asked me to come to see you? I was worried about you the whole way here!"
Lillian shook her head frantically and explained, "I... I didn't! When did I message you? Wait, where's my phone?"
As she explained, she started searching for herself and realized her phone was missing.
Just as Lillian was getting anxious, Katherine stepped forward and handed her the phone, looking innocent while saying, "Lillian dropped it while getting checked up, so I picked it up and held onto it for her. There is no need to thank me."
Lillian was stunned and then realized, inquiring, "You! Katherine, you used my phone to message Kenny?!"
Katherine smiled slightly, then answered, "Just a small favor, no big deal."
Lillian gritted her teeth and then scolded, "You..."
Kenny mocked. "Lillian, I was foolish to trust you and believe that a woman as self-serving as you would quietly have my child!"
Lillian hurriedly tried to explain, "Kenny, listen to me, Sherry, she..."
At that moment, Sherry and Joshua returned from their paternity test sampling. The door to the room was open, and they walked right in.
Seeing Kenny in the room, Sherry was surprised and then called out, "Godfather? What are you doing here?"
Joshua immediately darkened his face and glared at Lillian on the bed, retorting, "What's he doing here?"
Lillian, who had been about to explain to Kenny, swallowed her words and looked guiltily at Joshua, saying, "Uh... he... he came to..."
Kenny, realizing Lillian had deceived him, was angry. However, being a public figure, he wouldn't let anyone hold any dirt over him. So he quickly put on a fake smile, pretending to be natural. "You must be Mr. Galatea? I heard Sherry’s mother was hurt, so I came to check on her."
Knowing that Kenny was Lillian's old lover, Joshua was filled with hostility towards him and sneered, "Kenny, there's no need for you to worry. I can take care of my wife and Sherry myself!"
Kenny gave a barely noticeable cold smile and said, "Then I won't disturb you any longer."
With that, he turned and left.
Sherry noticed Kenny’s displeased expression and quickly chased after him.
"Godfather, there was a bit of a misunderstanding at home today. My dad is in a bad mood, so he wasn't very polite. Please don't take it to heart!" Sherry explained quickly.
Kenny stopped and gave Sherry a contemptuous look, speaking coldly, devoid of his previous kindness and affection, "Ms. Galatea, you're overthinking it. Why would I hold a grudge against your father? You should go back and be with your parents. And from now on, you don't need to call me godfather anymore."
Sherry was deeply hurt and then asked, "Godfather, are you abandoning me?"
Kenny replied with a cold face, "We have no real connection. There's no question of abandoning or not. Now, please step aside. I have an appointment to keep."
Sherry thought this was a disaster and cautiously asked, "What about my lead role."
Kenny smiled sarcastically and sneered, "Ms. Galatea, I've seen some of your previous work. Your acting is poor, and your lines are terrible. I would never use an actress like you in my film. You should look for opportunities elsewhere."
Sherry panicked and clung tightly to Kenny's clothes, yelling out, "Godfather, you can't leave! You promised me the lead role. How can you go back on your word?"
Kenny pushed her away mercilessly and continued, "If your mother hadn't lied to me, saying you were the daughter she secretly had with me, I wouldn't have agreed to give you the lead role to make it up to you two. Now that I know you're Joshua's biological daughter. Please don't come looking for me anymore."
Losing such a valuable godfather was something Sherry couldn't accept!
Since her debut, Kenny's film was the biggest lead role she had ever gotten. She had already promoted it on Twitter!
Sherry thought, ‘Now that Kenny wouldn't use me, how could I face people in the industry?’
She couldn't accept this outcome at the thought of this outcome. So Sherry looked around to make sure no one was watching, then turned back and knelt. She grabbed Kenny's pant leg and cried, "Dad, I am your biological daughter, really! My mom only said those things to keep Joshua calm. Don't believe her! Dad, we did a paternity test, remember?"
Kenny frowned and looked around, worrying someone might see this scene. He felt a bit shaken, then he advised, "You, get up! It’s awkward for you to kneel here."
Sherry refused to get up and said, "Dad, if you don't acknowledge me, I won't get up!"
Kenny was helpless, then answered, "You! Alright, get up first. We can talk this out."
"Kenny!" A woman's angry shout suddenly echoed through the hospital corridor.
Kenny stiffened. He turned around and turned pale. "Honey! When are you coming back to Janetrick ?"
Kenny's wife, Stella, stood not far away, burning with rage. She pointed at him, yelling, "So, you had such a big daughter behind my back! Kenny, you've hidden this well!"
"Honey, it's not like that. Don't listen to her nonsense." Kenny panicked, shaking his head like a rattle.
Kenny was henpecked, which was an open secret in the industry. His breakthrough film was made possible with the support and help of his wife and her family. Over the years, she had controlled the family's finances, and he didn't dare cross her.
Seeing the situation, Sherry felt things were going south and quickly stood up to run.
"Bitch, stop right there!" Stella called out to her.
