Chapter 619 Making Alex Admit His Mistake
Alex shrugged. "We already ordered. You guys can get whatever you want."
Anthony grinned. "Cool, I'll get some stuff Teresa likes."
While Anthony was busy ordering, Teresa was lost in her thoughts. 'Just before we got here, Alex and Katherine were chatting. But when we showed up, they clammed up. One looks all serious, and the other is just staring out the window, not saying a word. This is bad!
They've been apart for six months. If they keep this up, they're gonna break up for sure. In times like this, the guy's gotta be the first to say sorry to fix things! And Alex's current holier-than-thou attitude is just gonna push Katherine away even more.'
Teresa figured if she couldn't get through to Alex, maybe someone else could. She had a lightbulb moment and hit up Fiona, letting her know Katherine was back.
At Melville Manor, Fiona, who had no classes that afternoon, had just taken a shower after getting back from school when she saw Teresa's message about Katherine being back.
There was also a pic of Alex and Katherine sitting across from each other, both looking super bummed out.
Fiona almost jumped out of her skin with excitement and quickly replied: [Where are you guys? Where'd you find Katherine?]
Teresa replied: [We're at a restaurant. Katherine showed up on her own and just happened to bump into Alex.]
Fiona quickly typed: [So, Alex is bringing her back soon, right? I gotta tell Grandma the good news!]
Teresa: [I don't think so. They are sitting together, talking about breaking up. Katherine's got a real negative vibe; she clearly doesn't wanna talk to Alex.]
Fiona: [Breaking up? Katherine's carrying Alex's baby, and it's almost due, right? What's going on?]
Teresa: [I don't know. I don't want this to happen either, which is why I reached out to you. I hope you can bring Grandma over. Only Sandra can make Alex apologize to Katherine.]
Fiona: [Apologize? Alex didn't do anything wrong. Why should he apologize? Katherine left without a word and has been gone for six months! She should be the one to apologize!]
Teresa: [Do you want them to make up or not?]
Fiona was a bit annoyed but still wanted Katherine back, replying: [Alright. Send me the restaurant address, and I'll bring Grandma over.]
Teresa sent the restaurant location to Fiona.
After getting the location from Teresa, Fiona quickly changed clothes, grabbed her phone, and rushed out to find Sandra, who was in her bedroom, sewing clothes for the unborn baby, each stitch filled with care.
Katherine had left, and Sandra didn't know if she would come back. She never stopped worrying. These unfinished baby clothes were her only comfort.
"Grandma!" Fiona burst in, making Sandra jump and prick her finger with the needle!
"Fiona, why are you always so hyper? What are you doing?" Sandra glared at her, pulling out the needle and grabbing a tissue to wipe the blood from her finger.
Seeing this, Fiona rushed over. "Grandma, you okay?"
Sandra wiped the tiny bit of blood and tossed the tissue, frowning. "I'm fine now, but one day you'll give me a heart attack! What's so urgent you couldn't knock?"
Feeling guilty, Fiona pouted. "Sorry, Grandma, I was just in a hurry."
"Alright, spill it. What's the big deal?" Sandra asked.
"Katherine is back!"
Sandra's eyes lit up. " Where is she? Take me to her!"
Sandra couldn't stay calm and started to head out.
Fiona quickly stopped her. "Grandma, hold up. Let me finish. Katherine didn't come home; she's at a restaurant with Alex right now."
Sandra was thrilled. "So Alex knows she's back too? That's awesome! Why are they eating out? They should come home and eat together. I'll have the kitchen whip up some of Katherine's favorite dishes for dinner!"
Fiona sighed. "Grandma, it might not be that simple. Teresa said something's off. They seem to be talking about breaking up!"
Sandra's smile faded. "Katherine's baby is almost due, and they're talking about breaking up? What's wrong with Alex? He finally finds her, and he's not bringing her home but talking about breaking up?"
Fiona held Sandra's arm. "That's why Teresa asked me to bring you over. Alex needs to apologize to Katherine. Otherwise, she might run off again, and he won't be able to find her!"
Sandra didn't hesitate. "Alright! Let's go, Fiona. Take me to see Katherine now!"
Seeing the usually composed Sandra so anxious, Fiona found it amusing. "Grandma, even if you're in a rush, you should wear a coat. Don't worry, Teresa is there, and they won't leave anytime soon."
Sandra didn't care about her appearance, ordered someone to get her a coat, and hurriedly pulled Fiona out the door. But as soon as they stepped out of the bedroom, they ran into Sophia, who was carrying two boxes of desserts to visit Sandra.
Sophia smiled. "Mrs. Melville, where are you rushing off to?"
Sandra's expression became complicated. "Fiona and I have something to do. Sophia, why are you here?"
Sophia cheerfully raised the two boxes of desserts. "I stood in line to get these delicious treats and wanted to bring them for you."
